War against cultivators in the mortal world

The Demon King's Judgment

One of the cultivators leaped forward and swung his sword at Sun Moju with fury. However, Sun Moju only smiled coldly.

"Ignorant fool."

Suddenly, a deathly aura enveloped his body. In an instant, the attacking cultivator collapsed to the ground, his body turning blue as if his entire life force had been drained.

"What?! What kind of technique is this?!" the other cultivators exclaimed in fear.

Yet, their fear did not stop them. In a blink, dozens of cultivators rushed to attack Sun Moju simultaneously.

Sun Moju remained still, only raising one hand toward the sky.

"Rain of Blazing Swords."

The dark sky suddenly burned red. From the black clouds above, thousands of fiery swords began descending at an incredible speed. The cultivators quickly activated their protective formations to defend themselves.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The swords struck their barriers one by one, creating deafening explosions that echoed throughout the area. However, their defenses began to crack.

"Impossible... Our defenses are breaking?!" one of them shouted in panic.

And indeed, within seconds, the fiery swords pierced through their shields, impaling the cultivators and causing them to collapse to the ground, gravely injured.

Sun Moju hovered in the air, his gaze cold and unyielding.

"I warned you not to play with me."

His voice echoed, filled with authority and overwhelming power.

"I am the strongest Demon King on this planet."

Hearing these words, the remaining cultivators immediately fell to their knees before him.

"Great Demon King! Please spare us! We were wrong!" they pleaded, their faces filled with terror.

Sun Moju gazed at them for a moment before finally speaking.

"For now, I will spare you. But that does not mean your lives are safe. One day, I will return to this place."

The cultivators bowed their heads, not daring to look at him.

Without another word, Sun Moju turned to Qin Wei, who stood beside him, still frozen after witnessing the incredible battle.

Then, with a light movement, Sun Moju took Qin Wei with him. They soared into the sky, disappearing into the darkness of the night, heading toward their destination—the Demon Palace.

After leaving the battlefield, Sun Moju and Qin Wei flew through the night sky at high speed. The cold wind blew around them, but Sun Moju remained calm, while Qin Wei still seemed tense after the previous events.

"Sun Moju... do you always face people like that?" Qin Wei asked, still shaken by the immense power she had just witnessed.

Sun Moju gave a faint smile. "It's common. Many want to challenge me, but they don't realize the difference in power between us."

Qin Wei took a deep breath. "So, this is the world of powerful cultivators... full of battles and struggles for power."

Sun Moju did not respond, but his eyes shone sharply. To him, this world was not just about who was stronger—it was about who could survive.

After a while, they finally arrived at the Demon Palace—a grand fortress standing atop a black mountain, surrounded by dark mist. Qin Wei stared at it in awe.

"This… is incredible. I never imagined a place like this could exist in this world," she murmured.

Sun Moju slowly descended in front of the massive gates, and the demon guards immediately bowed in respect.

"Welcome back, Your Majesty," one of them greeted.

Sun Moju nodded and walked inside, followed closely by Qin Wei. As they passed through a long corridor adorned with ancient carvings, Qin Wei finally gathered the courage to ask, "What's your next plan?"

Sun Moju paused briefly, then looked at her. "I have gathered the materials I needed. Now, I will refine a Tier 4 Spiritual Pill."

Qin Wei nodded, but deep down, she felt that her journey with Sun Moju was only just beginning.

Inside his alchemy chamber, Sun Moju stood before a large alchemy furnace. He carefully took out the rare ingredients he had collected and placed them into the furnace. The blazing fire beneath it enveloped the chamber in a warm, herbal aroma.

"The pill will be ready in an hour," Sun Moju murmured to himself before leaving the room.

While waiting, he walked toward Qin Wei's chamber. As Sun Moju opened the door, he found Qin Wei sitting on the bed, deep in thought.

"Why aren't you asleep?" Sun Moju asked as he stepped inside.

"I'm not feeling sleepy," Qin Wei replied softly.

Sun Moju gazed at her for a moment before giving a faint smile. He raised his hand, and in an instant, his magic enveloped Qin Wei's body. Her outfit transformed, now a magnificent gown adorned with gold, with a crown resting atop her head, making her resemble a queen from a grand kingdom.

Qin Wei was shocked. "This… how is this possible?"

"This will make you look even more beautiful," Sun Moju said with a smile.

He then took out a few exquisite garments and a set of cosmetics, placing them on the table near her bed.

"Use these if you'd like," he added before turning around and leaving the room.

An hour later, Sun Moju returned to his alchemy chamber. The Tier 4 Spiritual Pill he had been refining was finally complete. With full confidence, he took the pill and swallowed it.

However, the moment it passed down his throat, something strange happened.

"Urghh...!"

A sharp pain suddenly struck his head. His vision blurred, and his chest tightened. Then, uncontrollably, fresh blood spurted from his mouth.

"Damn… the side effects are stronger than I expected," Sun Moju muttered before his body wavered.

Hearing the strange noise from the alchemy chamber, Qin Wei immediately ran inside.

"Senior? What's happening to you?!" she cried out in panic when she saw Sun Moju collapse, coughing up blood.

Sun Moju tried to stay conscious, but his vision grew darker. "No... this is just the pill's side effect..."

After saying that, his body hit the floor, and his consciousness faded.

When Sun Moju opened his eyes, he found himself in Qin Wei's chamber. The dim candlelight flickered, casting a soft glow around the room. He felt the warmth of the blanket covering his body.

Beside him, Qin Wei sat with a relieved expression.

"Senior, you're finally awake," she said gently.

Sun Moju blinked a few times, trying to comprehend the situation. "Why am I here?"

Qin Wei lowered her gaze slightly before answering, "I couldn't bear to see you unconscious on the cold floor, so I brought you here and took care of you."

Sun Moju looked at her, surprised by her concern.

Suddenly, Qin Wei reached out and gently held Sun Moju's hand.

"Senior..." Qin Wei took a deep breath before continuing, "Even though we've only met for a day, there's something I want to tell you."

Sun Moju remained silent, gazing at her. "Go ahead."

Qin Wei stared straight into his eyes, then, with a soft voice, she said:

"Actually… I like you."
