When the last prisoners escaped, Chu Yang burned the whole place with fire. With a large number of trees as fuel, the fire started to spread pretty quickly. He used the darkness as a cover to burn as much of the tress as it spread to most of the prison and outside. But what he didn't know was that at the side of Mary Geoise, another man was trying to do the same thing.
In the darkness of the night, the man's silhouette looked particularly burly in the firelight. The unusually red skin of the man indicated he was not a human to begin with. This was Fisher Tiger. He had always been an advocate for freedom and an avid seafarer. However not too long after he started his travel, he was captured by human traffickers and made into a slave. For three years he suffered inhumane torture from his captors and saw the depths of human cruelty with his own eyes.
But rather than succumb to the hate, he vowed to make sure no other person suffered the same fate that he had. That is why returned after he successfully escaped from Mary Geoise. He wanted to free all the slaves as well. As he was freeing the prisoners, he saw there was fire spreading from the other side of the prison. He was surprised that someone else was already one step ahead of him.
Looking at the uncontrollable fire that was spreading, he realized if he didn't start hurrying the slaves of the dungeons they might burn to death. While he is grateful that someone else is helping him, the uncontrollable fire makes him mad at them. Fortunately, when he was a slave himself, he memorized the layout of the prison in his mind perfectly. Although time was tight, he rescued all of the slaves from their cells. The remaining used the chaos to escape as well.
Having achieved his goal, he was prepared for prison again. Not too far away the surrounding Marines were alerted by the raging fire and encountered him along the way, surrounding him in the process. "You're quite bold, trying to free the prisoners from their cells." said the Colonel. "These are innocent who were trafficked by slave traders into the prisoners. As a Marine, don't you have a little bit of justice in your heart for their plight? As a Marine you not only fail to protect the innocents but help the wicked in their schemes." retorted Fisher righteously.
The Marine Colonel sneered "You think I care about the so-called justice? I'm not here to talk nonsense here with you. Besides you are also guilty of arson of Mary Geoise. Surrender quietly or suffer the consequences!" Fisher was stunned silent "But I didn't set the fire" "You're still making excuses now? Since you don't want to surrender peacefully, we have to take drastic measures." the Colonel ignored Fisher's excuse and ordered his men to attack him. Somewhere on the other side Chu Yang sneezed as he caused more chaos in the prison. Fortunately for him, someone else was taking the fall causing the fire.
In that instant, soldiers from behind stood forward and readied their flintlock to fire at him. Fisher manipulated the water with his Fishman Karate and formed a wall of water to block the bullets as they fell into the water harmlessly. The colonel getting irritated by now, ordered his men to engage in close quarters. While he knew Fishmen were generally stronger than his men, he was hoping this would stall him enough for reinforcements to arrive.
Seeing that they were quite adamant about attacking him, Fisher didn't bother explaining himself anymore as he started attacking as well. He quickly found the Colonel's plan as he was sending grunts against him. Thinking quickly on his feet, he tried to quickly break out of the group and run away. But he was quickly surrounded again and was controlled into a tight corner. "Stop resisting, it would be better for everyone if you just surrendered." the Colonel gloated seeing Fisher's grim expression.
Fisher was concerned.
The more time that he wasted here, the greater the chances of reinforcements arriving faster. "Rather than being a slave again, I might as well die in battle here." he grits his teeth as he is ready to berserk on the Marine soldiers. Just when he was about to attack, the ground cracked as tree roots appeared and started constricting and crushing the soldiers. The whole place was submerged in tree roots, Fisher could only stare in shock as he tensed himself for any surprise attacks.
"You haven't left yet? Stop standing there like a rock and get moving already!" a voice said. Turning around Fisher found a young boy emerging as the trees made for him. Quelling his surprise, Fisher followed the boy as they jumped between the trees and they made their way out.
At the same time, the situation between the World Government and the Gorosei was getting heated up. "This is impossible. There has never been anyone daring enough to set fire to the Holy Land and cause this much chaos. They dare trample the majesty of the Tenryuubito!" "Who is the filth that caused this mess? Have you found them yet?" roared one of the Five Elders. "According to the report, it was a fishmen who started this." "Damn those cretins! Where did they get their courage from? Where is Sakazuki? Have him deal with the intruder"
"No, the city is burning already. If we deploy Sakazuki not even ashes might be left. It would be better to have Kuzan deal with this mess." said the other Elder. The intensity of the fire created by Chu Yang with the excess of combustible materials, made a fire exceeding that of one in the cannon, now most of the lower levels of the Holy Land were burning to cinders.
The situation was getting out of hand as most of the soldiers were focusing on damage control rather than capturing the slaves. Even Kuzan that just arrived immediately joined in the efforts of quelling the fire. Coupled with the slaves, the soldiers were getting overwhelmed quickly.
