Doughnut or Do not


Jay-jay's POV


Weird! Sobrang weird! Super duper weird! Super duper ultra weird! Super
duper ultra omega to the highest level weird!
You look weird Jay-jay.
I'm standing in front of my table while looking at the food. Yes,
at THE food. There's a box of donuts on my table. There's also
coffee from Starbucks.
"Jay-jay!" Ci-N greeted me as she approached.
She looked at a box of donuts. Her eyes immediately widened in
joy that you thought the food in front of her was for her.
"Money!" She said and was about to reach for the box but I slapped
her hand hard. "...Ouch!"
"Just take it! We don't know who it's from!"
"Of course, one of our classmates! You don't have a lover
outside to bring you something like that!" He said annoyed while rubbing
his hand.
My eyes narrowed at him. "I know
it's from your fellow Ulopong! I mean, which one of them?!"
We looked at the Ulopongs together. Eman was the first one that came to
my mind because he's our cook here. Our eyes met
but he just raised an eyebrow at us.
Okay, not him!
Yuri was the next one we looked at. He just smiled and waved at me.
Okay, not him either!
I turned to the left where the other
troops were side by side in their mischief and fighting. I went
to Edrix who was busy on the phone first but
the Idiot didn't even notice. He looked like he was playing something on his cellphone.
Okay, not him either!
Rory was next to him writing something in his notebook. He looked at
my behavior and quickly turned to the notebook. It was as if he was listing something that
I couldn't understand.
Not him either.
Just not him! He's also greedy, if that came from him, only a box
will reach me!
I followed Mayo. He had a chance to look at Kit but
quickly turned to face Josh, who was talking to him.
It didn't seem like he was either. His focus was on Kit.
I was targeting the person he was talking to. But it didn't seem like he was either. Because

Ci-N. The box was already open and he already had a donut in his hand

The conversation was
just about food . Haizt! I simply glanced at the donut. It looked really delicious. Different flavors and it looked
like it came from an expensive donut shop. I could only afford 11 pesos each. I looked at the Ulopongs near
me. They were looking and quickly looked away. It was as if they were really waiting to see if I would take it or
not. Tsk! If I take it----of course I can eat it. I don't care what they think. The donut is delicious. But if I do what
they expect----Just! I'll eat it! No more thinking. Why would I think about it? This is food, hey! Food is life! My
life to be exact. Lapang if lapang! I don't care if they think I lost because I accepted the gift. I took one and
quickly ate it. I heard someone making noise but I ignored it. I just ate it and Ci-N followed me. I looked at
David who had just arrived. He raised one eyebrow at us and seemed to be asking where we were eating from.
"Do you want it? Take it." I offered. "Maybe just the coffee." He said and took a sip of the coffee. He looked like
he was staying up late again. After all, he always seemed to be up late. He was just going to sleep until later.
David, who had a social instinct but was always quiet. We were about to finish the donuts when I looked at the
box. There was writing covered by the remaining donuts. I took the rest and let Ci-N hold them so I could read
the writing. 'Congratulations, Because you ate the contents of this. It means you agree to go on a date with

a... I was so touched! I quickly stood up and threw the box at Felix, who was currently smiling crookedly. He

our upcoming exam until.... "You only have half a day today." He announced. I sat up straight. One of my ears
barely grew big enough to hear what Sir said properly. "...The board members and faculty are having a
meeting." The Ulopongs quickly celebrated. Some even clapped and shouted as if they had won the lottery.
Sometimes, apart from being Ulopongs and Dead Guts, they were also OAs. Sir continued teaching even

class ended and of course, there was no more school so I quickly packed my things. I was about to leave the

our room to avoid Felix. He was in charge of his life. He had a date, he looked like he was okay. When we
arrived at the gate, we joined the groups of students. I could still hear my name being called. When I went out,
I let go of Ci and ran. I knew the little boy would follow me. When I felt tired, I stopped right there. We were
already a long way from school. "Hey! Jay-jay!" Ci-N called me annoyed. I caught my breath before answering.
I was running so fast earlier. I even beat him to the marathon. I felt long-legged. "Jay-jay!" He called again. I
turned to face him annoyed and was about to talk to him but my tongue fell back when I saw the person next
to him. Felix was leaning against the car and Percy was peeking out the window. They were both laughing and
smiling at me. I looked at Ci- N with a grin . "You're still running! They're in the car!" He said annoyed. "I was
calling you earlier." "I'm sorry." "You thought you could escape me." Felix was teasing. "...you're so smart , bro."
That was my line! "You thought I'd agree to go on a date with you." I imitated his tone. "...you're so smart, bro."
"Going for a walk." Ci said. I shook my head. No matter where they took me. Be it Enchanted Kingdom or
Disneyland. "Go shopping." He added. I shook my head again. Even if they bought the entire Philippines.
"Food." I shook my head again. Even if it was all foodâ€"I might have agreed. "Free." I shook my headâ€"wait a
minute! That's another story. It's free, after all. I looked at Ci-N who was smiling at me. Felix and Percy were

Ci-N and Felix clapped their hands in excitement. I took my seat in the backseat and Batang Kumag followed
me. "Who said you were with me?" Percy asked Ci irritably. "Jay-jay." He quickly answered while grabbing my
arm. I wasn't saying anything, was I? "That's okay so I don't forget Jay-jay." Felix said while fastening his
seatbelt. He turned to face me then winked. I just felt like I was being sucked into the air. I feel like this Cat is
infected with the King's arrogance. It could also be because he's a Cobra that's why he's like that. He's a Cat.
He's Felix the Cat. If I weren't hungry, I wouldn't have gone with them. I'll just think about Percy and Ci-N
inviting me. I know this is what this other one is planning . I know this is part of their trickery. He thought I

"We're just looking for an empty table." Felix said and quickly walked inside. "Pizza! Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" Ci-N
sang as she followed Felix. "Hey! You'll pay for it, you'll eat it, okay?" Percy shouted at Ci. The Little Kumag
ignored him until they got inside. I quickly turned to Percy and looked at him evilly. "What is this?! Is this your
plan?!" He smiled at me with his hand on his cheek. "I'm just helping my brother. I want us to be a Happy
Family." I pointed at him in the face. "Your face is Happy Family! You're my only brother, Felix isn't!" Percy is my
stepbrother because he is the son of my father's wife. Felix is his stepbrother because his mother is his
ather's wife. So, where?
Did he become a relative on my side?

"Let's adopt Felix. Let's make him Mariano too. After all,
he's not a real Collins."
I threw a punch at him but he quickly dodged it. All I knew was

I was about to slap him but he quickly went inside.
My hand almost hit the door.

I saw Ci-N and Percy in a corner as if pushing each other.

The two quickly walked away and they almost pointed at each other at the same time.

"I'm the brother. That's why I should be." I just shook my head at them. These
two really can't be together .
Rather than fuel their fight, I chose to sit in the
two-person seat near them.
Before the two idiots could even fight over who would sit opposite
me. Felix had already sat in the seat opposite me.
It was supposed to be one-person.
"Why? What's wrong?" He asked innocently while
the two looked at him.
"A thief." Percy said sternly to him.
Ci-N sobbed as if she was about to cry. They were forced to take a seat in the two-person seat near us. The
two
immediately looked at each other with disdain . "What do you want to eat?" Felix asked. "I feel like eating a live
chicken." I said sarcastically. "...Probably Pizza. I told you earlier, right?" He just scratched his head. "Sorry." He
waved at a waiter near us. He asked for a menu which he quickly gave. Even the two young minds were given
one . He said my order and of course because the two of them were so stubborn. They even outdid the party-
goers with their large orders. They almost argued over which one was tastier. The feeling that they were really
the center of the chaos. It's a good thing there weren't that many people here. I felt like the food here wasn't
really that good. I hope not, I might not enjoy it. I don't enjoy my company anymore, I don't enjoy the food.
"Jay-jay." Felix called to me. I pretended not to hear him. I kept looking around and looking at their designs
around me. I think I even tripped the light bulb on the ceiling. "I know you can hear me." He said. "...I just hope
you understand my explanation." I felt a pang in the air. It was really wrong of me to come along. That's so

because they fooled me. I thought I was stupid that's why they did that. But something was wrong, because
even the smartest people in the world get fooled in other ways. It just means, their deception goes through a
process. In a way that can get you on board. In a way that makes you believe quickly. By showing the truth but
behind it is the real deception. And that's the process of being a fool. I believe that the things that happened
when I didn't know were true. Our laughter and teasing. How they would support me. To me, all of that was
true. But behind all that laughter we had, it was all there. Everything that would break me. "I know it's hard to
believe... But we gradually let go of the plan." He stared into my eyes as he said that. "...because Keifer
