Train
Jay-jay's POV
Idiot! Not moving! "Looking stupid." Looking stupidâ€"who's looking stupid?! I immediately glared at the person who said that. Ci-N with a bowl of ice cream came up to me. "Are you talking about me?" She shook her head. "That's right! The brothers." She was referring to Felix and Percy. We were about to leave the restaurant when someone greeted them who said their parents knew them. That's right, the gossip was still going on. We were ahead of them in the parking lot and were waiting for them. We could see them from here because of the glass window. "You're awesome. They already gave you free." I said with my arms crossed. She continued eating ice cream. It was still dripping from the side of her lips. I looked at the tissue in my bag and quickly wiped it off her face. She was eating messy! She took it from my hand. "I'll do it." I let her go and went back to what I was doing. Staring into nothingness. I had been thinking about what Felix had said earlier. What he had said seemed true but hard to believe. I guess I have a trust issue that's why I'm thinking like this. "Jay, I need another tissue." Ci said. I opened my bag again and took what he asked for but I was stopped when I noticed something inside. There was a pink envelope. I handed the one he asked for to Batang Kumag before taking the envelope. It had a heart design on it. The look was familiar to me as if I had seen and touched it before. It was a joke again. I opened the envelope. It was obvious to me that it was or me. It probably wouldn't have gone in my bag otherwise. I took out the contents which looked like stationary. I can only say one thing. The penmanship is beautiful! Ladies and gentlemen. 'Dear Jay-jay, This is not a love letter. It would be more correct to say a friendship letter.' I stopped reading and put it back in the envelope. The contents were so corny. I felt so sleepy that I couldn't understand it. But the letter was so beautiful. I looked at the door of the restaurant when the brothers came out. Percy frowned but Felix smiled. "Irritating! Why am I so handsome?!" This Crazy Blue Eyes said it annoyed . The truth?! Is it really annoying?! His eyebrows furrowed as he fumbled for the car keys in his pocket. Felix just shook his head while laughing. "Why?" Ci-N asked. "Because Mama's Kumare is forcing him to date his son." He patted Percy on the shoulder who quickly nodded. "...he's interested in Zombies." Felix and Ci-N let out a loud laugh. Percy quickly looked at them evilly. Even I was laughing at the idea of Percy being a Zombie. Turns out their Mama's Kumare is also crazy. "Do you want to walk home?" Percy threatened the two and they gradually stopped. I just shook my head. He opened the car door so we immediately got in. The two of them kept laughing. "Let's go Zombie lord." I teased. He slammed the door shut. "I'm not a zombie! Don't you get it? I'm too handsome to be a zombie!" I held back my laughter in the backseat. He would really insist on the word 'He's handsome'. He was so crazy! He was really crazy. "...When I became a zombie, many women would bite me because of my handsomeness!" He continued while fastening his seatbelt. "The air conditioner is so strong!" Ci whispered and almost ran into the car's air conditioner while laughing. "Do you want to get off?" Percy asked him sarcastically. "...what are you doing! I haven't started the engine! The air conditioner is so strong!" That's not the air conditioner! That's a storm, a storm! He started the car and was still clearly annoyed. While the three of us were laughing from time to time. Ci-N was acting like a zombie. His eyes were still rolling and his tongue was hanging out. I bit my lip just to keep from laughing out loud. There was a time when Felix would turn to us and simply laugh at Ci. "What's that?! Why are you laughing?!" Percy asked annoyed. "Nothing. Just drive." Felix replied with a laugh. The car stopped for a moment because of the traffic light. I looked out the window. It was as if the road we were taking was different. All I knew was that we were going home. Come on! Where are we going? "I thought we were going home? Why does this seem like a different direction?" I asked while continuing to look outside. "Who said we were going home?" Felix said and smiled at me. "... our date isn't over yet." I winced. This guy is so intense! If only my cellphone hadn't rang, I would have cursed at him earlier. I took my cellphone out of my bag. A text message came from Yuri. From: Pres.Yuri Message: How are you? Enjoying ur date with Felix? I edited his name by the way. I added 'Pres.' which means President. Because he is the President of our club. I immediately typed a reply to him. To: Pres.Yuri Message: Okay. Hnd maxdo. We're just like Ci-N and Percy. (It's okay. Not too much. We're just like Ci-N and Percy.) He didn't even answer for a minute. From: Pres.Yuri Message: Aren't you enjoying it because you're with someone? 😲😲 I almost laughed because of his emoji that looked like he was really surprised . I replied to him with a smile. To: Pres.Yuri Message: No way! I'm lonely. (No way! I'm lonely.) From: Pres.Yuri Message: ahh... I thought it was because you two were with someone. I'm already jealous. 😧😧 I shook my head while smiling. Feeling like a boyfriend. That's probably why he texted because he couldn't relax. Really jealous... To: Pres.Yuri Message: Tsk! So be patient, Ci-N is next to me now. (Tsk! So you can be quiet, Ci-N is next to me now.) From: Pres.Yuri Message: 😥😥 To: Pres.Yuri Message: ðŸ˜'ðŸ˜' From: Pres.Yuri Message: 😙😙 I was about to type a reply to her when I elt someone's presence on my shoulder. I glared at Ci-N who was currently reading a message on my cellphone. And her head still didn't seem to notice. She was still staring at my hand. I tried to push my cellphone away but her eyes still followed . This kid is so intense! She's so curious. In my annoyance, I poked the phone right in her face. "There you go! Go ahead! Go ahead! Go ahead and poke her in the eye! It's embarrassing to be so curious !" I said annoyed. She laughed at me when I took the cellphone away from her ace. She was still making a peace sign with her ï¬nger. It's nice to tease her sometimes. "Who are you texting?" he asked. I looked at the rearview mirror and Percy was also looking at me . I immediately looked away and coughed slightly to clear my throat . "Nothing." I held my phone tightly. Percy didn't want Yuri to be mentioned. As time went on, his anger towards his former friend seemed to grow stronger . I tried to ï¬nd out the real reason but he just became elusive to me. If I avoided or changed the subject, he would get angry as if he hated telling the truth. But if he didn't tell me, I wouldn't understand. I feel like this isn't just an issue between him and Freya. I know, it's more than that. Whatever it is, I hope it won't be the cause of new trouble or all of us. My cellphone rang again. I thought Yuri had texted me again but a different name popped up in my mind. From: GagongBaliw Message: busy? You look busy! This is another mystery in my life. My intuition is strong! My intuition is so strong! I have a strong feeling that this person is connected to the King of Snakes. I didn't play him. There are a few things I'm waiting for this idiot to do. Those things will pave the way for me to catch him. "Here we go!" Felix announced. I looked at what they were looking at outside the car. One of the biggest Arcades in our area. Game House! Percy parked the car in front of the building. The Little Kumag was obviously excited. He had gotten out ï¬rst and seemed very excited as he pointed at the Game House building. "Let's go! Let's go in! I'm exhausted!" He said. He patted my shoulder as he got out of the car. His childishness was showing again. It was his birthday, so his brain should have been +1 but it seemed like it was -1. "Why did we bring him along?" Percy whispered. "Don't you want to? Okay. We're going home." I threatened and he immediately shook his head while smiling. "It was just a joke. Joke." I made him wait before walking closer to Ci who was already at the entrance. His face was already pressed against the glass door. I grabbed his head and led him inside. His head was so wide that he almost hit the door. Luckily the man dodged. I just asked for orgiveness so that there would be no more conversation. The place was big and divided into three. Playground for children, arcade for adults and a place to buy food, toys and clothes. It was crazy! This place is heaven for big hangouts. "Wow! It's big." Felix and his friends commented behind me. "Jay-jay!" Ci-N called to me while waving. "...let's ride here!" I walked closer to him to see what you were pointing at. He was talking about the train used in malls for sightseeing. But that wasn't possible for us anymoreâ€"we wouldn't ï¬t in anymore. Some young people who were going to ride the train were looking at us. They must be wondering why we still wanted to ride there even though we were big. We looked like we didn't know what to do. "Ci... What... H-we can't do that." I said hesitantly. His expression immediately changed. His shoulders slumped as he looked at me. "Hal... The kid looks like he's going to cry." I heard Percy tease him who was nearby. "Poor thing..." Felix growled. I immediately pointed at them and looked at him threateningly. They were so annoying that if they could help me explain the word "not allowed" to Ci-n . I faced Ci again and I was just as shocked to see her tears flowing down her cheeks. She was still smiling like a real child. Conï¬rm! Her thoughts really took a backseat. "Ci-N. You're old enough toâ€"." I couldn't continue what I was going to say because she was sobbing. Hey! I can't believe I'm going to do this. But I can't be the only one who looks like I don't know. "Yes. Yes. I'm going to ride." I said bored. She was still clapping with excitement while jumping. I just shook my head. "On one condition." I added, stopping him. "... they must come with us too." I looked at the two nosy people. Percy was still confused when they also looked at our behavior. I motioned for them to come closer. "Why?" He asked, snapping the ï¬nger he had used to dig up the mysterious treasure in the cave. Sala-ola! "WE're going on board, here." I really emphasized the word we. "We're not here." Felix replied. "Do you want me to curse you?" I threatened. "Let's go on board! Hurry! We're leaving!" Ci growled. "Just you. Don't take us with you!" Percy said. "I want Jay-jay with me." "I want you with me." I pointed to the two. Percy faced Felix and tapped him on the shoulder. "Come with me." Felix's eyebrows met and he looked at Percy with a frown. "YOU . That means it's not just one person." The two continued arguing. I whispered to Ci who had already bought tickets for the four of us. When he found a seat, I quickly took a seat behind the two and pushed them with all my might. "W-wait! We're not getting on that one!" Percy complained. I tried to push them into the train car. They couldn't do anything because the entrance was too crowded. When they got inside, I got on the same seat and took a seat near the two so they couldn't escape. Maybe they'd just jumped out of nowhere. I thought Ci-N was with us but when I looked for him, he was next to the driver in front of us. The man didn't seem to do anything to him. All he did was pat his head while looking at Batang Kumag. "Why are we still with him?" Felix said annoyed. "Who started this date?" "It's embarrassing to get on here. This is just for kids." "Why did you bring us here?" "Percy said.... You said you like the one at the Arcade." I quickly looked at Percy who frowned. "Who said I like the one at the Arcade?" Instead of answering, Gago just smiled broadly at me. I wanted to scold him hard. Where did he get that idea? We heard the loud ringing of the bell. An indication that the train was about to start. I even laughed because Ci-N was the one who was ringing the bell. "Start!" He shouted. Felix and Percy bowed almost at the same time. People were looking at us and laughing at us. I couldn't blame them. Our looks were really embarrassing. "It's your fault, Jay." Percy told me while covering his face with his hand. "It's your fault! You knew we had a child with us and yet you brought us here!" I replied annoyed. What hurt even more was the train's slow speed. I think I could have crawled faster. Crawl! Hurry! This humiliation would have been over. It was a good thing Ci-N was enjoying herself next to the driver. There was still some waving and waving. The artist with a motor-trade background was even better. We sank even deeper into shame when we passed by the Arcade. It was all high school students. They looked at us quickly and laughed. It was annoying! We were hunched over for a few more minutes before the train stopped. We jumped out of the car one by one. We walked a little away and almost crossed our arms at the same time. We waited for Ci-N who was so excited and didn't seem to want to get off. "One more!" He opened his mouth at us. My eyebrows met. "No." "Oh. Just one more. Please!" "That's enough." Felix said annoyed. "...We might lose our dignity." Ci crossed his arms while frowning. We walked to the Arcade because that's what we should really be going to and not riding that fast train. Percy bought the card for us. He also loaded it so we could use it to pay for the games. He frowned as he handed us the cards. He also had one. Ci-N quickly went to the games where the prize was a ticket. He said he would collect it in exchange for the stuffed toy he saw on display. There were many games to choose from but I immediately went to basketball. All the boys were playing but I didn't care. They weren't the ones I went to. Please! I swiped the card and started playing. I kept throwing the ball. I was already in the second round when I noticed someone on my side. The group of men who were playing earlier were laughing while looking at me. I turned around slightly. That's how annoyed I was when I saw them imitating my chest. They pretended to have their chests with their hands and it seemed to bounce. They laughed while pointing at me. I shook my head in annoyance. I didn't come here to mess around but that's what I was going to get. I was about to shoot the last ball when I pretended it slipped out of my hand, but I simply threw the ball at them. It hit the other one in the face. "Oh sorry... I didn't mean to." I pretended to apologize. "Be careful!" One of them said to me angrily. They returned the ball to me. I smiled at them and thanked them. I hadn't even gotten back to my seat when they spoke again. "We're your type, huh!" The other one said and they laughed. Type?! My stomach felt like it was going to flip. I raised an eyebrow at them. "Excuse me?" "Don't be so narrow-minded. Just tell me if you want one of us." I just laughed at what they said. It turned out that these guys were also Percy-like but they were ugly versions. "That's great. You guessed it." I said with a smile. Madam Auring is their relative. The two of them quickly smiled and shook hands with each other. I held the ball tightly. "Which one of us is it? Show me." The other one said arrogantly. "You're all my type..." My smile disappeared. "...I'm the type to smash your faces!" I threw the ball at one of them with all my strength. Right in the face! The people quickly became confused and looked at each other. "You idiot!" One of them said to me. They approached their companion who was already lying on the floor. They forced him to stand up. That's how panicked they were when they saw their companion covered in blood. "Shit Pre! There's so much blood!" One of them shouted. "Get out of here! What's your problem?!" One of them shouted at me. He was about to approach me but a large body quickly blocked him . Felix was too tall for them. "Are you angry about what he did to your troop? What about your rudeness to him?" Felix reprimanded. He was there a while ago? He knew even the rudeness. The men couldn't stop themselves,Percy came closer to Felix, the two of them were almost the same size. They were both the same height and almost the same as before. "Is there a problem here?" Percy asked casually. The boys gradually shook their heads. They hurriedly picked up their companion and left in front of us. I heard people around them laughing. The two of them turned to face me. "You're ï¬ne." I nodded and looked at Felix. He smiled at me as if to say that everything was okay. I don't know why but I also smiled at him on purpose. "T-thank you." I said while bowing. I felt his hand rest on my head. "You're so brave to start a mess." I suddenly laughed because of what he said. He did too. And with that simple laugh, it seemed like everyone felt a little better. +
