Aris, Antonyo and Vanitha. These three have managed to create a livable space near the beach that Orion's party is currently residing in. The monsters found out quickly that this group of survivors was out of their league.
In an attempt to contact their predecessors, Orion has started the construction of a tower to send and receive signals. Vincent has scouted the nearby islands and has seen no signs of their predecessors leading to theories and discussions as to where they could be. Even Travis decided to fly around to scour the seas and yet not a single one among them had results. But their wait would only last for a few days, on the 7th day since they got out of the bunker, Orion's party would encounter one of the main factions that their predecessors created.
"Greetings to those of the newer generation!" It was a robotic figure followed by what appears to be some sort of aircraft. "We are of the Alliance of Vikram."
The name Vikram was familiar to only the members of Bechnitz. "Hahahah is that old man still alive in this realm?" It was Vincent that laughed.
"Our founder is still alive, yes." The robotic figure's helmet retracted to reveal the face of a human man.
"No fucking way!" Travis had a shocked expression, but his smile overshadowed all other emotions. "You had a way to sense the sonic booms didn't you?"
"But of course, We simply had to differentiate it from the ones made by dragons and other creatures that tend to roam the skies."
Discussion began, the man with an enhanced suit of armor is from Terra. He introduced himself as a fellow transmigrated hero that arrived about 5 years before them, his name is Theodore. The Terran local would welcome them all with open arms as he guided them to his ship. The Terrans and those from Bechnitz were more than happy to follow the man.
"There are two other large alliances similar to ours, with Vikram's Alliance being one of the newer ones. We have only been active for a total of 10 years." Theodore's ship was spacious and had cloaking abilities that made detecting them through sight quite difficult. "While I'm unsure whether everyone here wants to join the Alliance, it's better for me to take you all to a safer region before the swarm gets here."
"The swarm?" Orion asked with a curious look.
"We're at the part of the world that most of the heroes avoid." Theodore began as he got comfortable in the pilot's seat. "Our bases are either floating or are in islands that are defended 24/7. Due to threats that are similar to the swarm or possibly worse. It's a general term for monsters that propagate at a rapid rate, the next one should be arriving in this piece of rock in about three days."
This conversation would only have about two eavesdroppers, the others were too focused on finally reaching civilization to care. One of the eavesdroppers is Travis, with his super-hearing and the other was Danitha who also had no care for what happens on the island. This meant that not a single person could warn Isaac of what comes next.
"Do forgive me everyone, the base is about 10 hours away. We have a long trip ahead!"
Their trip, while bumpy with a bit of turbulence, was a comfortable one. They had access to a mini-bar, a pool table and a few robotic servants. They have access to much better things compared to the bunker.
"So, Theodore, if there are two main organizations similar to yours, what made you join this one?" Antonyo was curious, to this discussion nearly everyone except for a sleeping Vincent and a resting Aris were open-eared.
"One is trying to rebuild an Empire, they serve the last of the locals. Those with royal blood, While it makes sense to do so I just don't see the appeal in serving another royal family." Theodore began. "The other is a group led by the Dragons of Verund and that fellow that they call Lukthamun. Seeing as you only have 1 person from Verund, then the other two must have encountered them already."
As Theodore waved his hand, screens appeared in front of everyone. "According to what we've learned, the first few generations were summoned after a great war in Verund. Big war, in need of heroes on this side and you get at least 15 or from my estimates 20 generations of dragons. Lukthamun is some sort of demi-god that I've only met once. It was during one of the Alliance gatherings, after all we all have the same mission despite our differing origins."
"Vikram's organization was a small group that decided not to join the Dragons or those that are trying to rebuild the Empire. A lot of the newer generations or what's left of them decided to go under him. The Dragon's faction has a system that's based on seniority and overall power, Terrans and Earthlings that are naturally weaker get tossed aside. Now you can see why I chose the Alliance." Though Theodore has only been in the realm for 5 years, he was still a senior that has seen more of this reality than any of them.
"The heroes from Bechnitz naturally allied with us along with some of the locals of Verund. Right now there's Three main factions but there's a lot of stragglers as well. It's one of the reasons why I didn't question a single one of you regarding your numbers."
Discussions and stories would be shared. With 10 hours on hand until they reached the Alliance's base, Orion's head was spinning as he tried to plan for what's ahead.
'I need to build good connections with the members of Vikram's Alliance. The other larger factions don't align with what I need. I'll keep the allies I have now while building a name for myself in their alliance.' Orion then walked over to Theodore's seat. "Then I assume your system is related to this ship."
"Why of course, this ship is one of the reasons why I'm acting as a scout for the Alliance. " Theodore then picked up a microphone. "C3 to camp. I'm arriving with 9 members of the new batch, I repeat I'm arriving with members of the new batch."
What welcomed the group was a view that any and all would appreciate. A flying city, one that's powered by both solar power and magical energy. A base that's so far above the skies that most of their enemies wouldn't even be aware of it.
One week after reaching the surface, Orion's party reached Vikram's base.
