"Scouting"

Noctis and the human archer that Isaac sent out moved at a steady pace. Isaac watched their movement through the minimap that was present in his "Unit list" screen.

"Those Murloks might be fast swimmers, but to get here they were fighting the flow of the river. Seeing as none of them were dropping from the waterfall, then their main base should be down the river." Isaac ordered most of the available units that he had to focus on collecting resources, what he needed was another barrack to summon more units. "The Murloks or any other hostile units will appear as red dots in the minimap, I just need to know how far they actually are. Information on their numbers can come at a later time."

The threats by the river at this time of night varied greatly from what one can hunt during the day. But these creatures know the difference in power between them and the shade. The shade, being a dark creature equivalent to a Mid-grade demon meant that when it shows its presence the aura of power alone would keep weaker creatures at bay.

The main reason it couldn't do the same thing the night prior is due to the preemptive strike, the Murloks already decided to send in an army but upon losing so many of their forces small expendable waves were sent on the second night.

"This time it's my turn, the Archer is just there so I can clear the fog of war." Isaac knew of the true abilities of the shadewalker. "Stealth and assassination, these are the areas that he specialises in. If we can pinpoint their leaders and cause chaos in their camp then it's even better."

In RTS games, harassing one's opponents in the early game can bring about a multitude of results. Information on the opponent's defenses, the weakness of their structures and how many troops they have.

Isaac wanted revenge and unlike the betrayal from Orion that he just shrugged off, the damage they dealt to him could be seen through bruises and the loss of 3 units. "They also use magic crystals for the staff that their enchanters use, if they have some sort of treasure room then I can use that to my advantage…"

"Hehehe…the possibilities are endless…" Isaac wanted blood and he also wanted resources. "If they can provide both then so be it, I've already stolen their biomass for my own units. There will be no negotiations, we're going to take everything from them when we get the chance."

In two days, Isaac would have enough resources for his second Barrack building. This is considering that he now had hands that could work without him worrying about their levels of fatigue by night time.

The Archer that Isaac sent out, is a primitive archer that still wore rags for clothing. He speaks like a person from centuries in the past, the Master, Isaac has named him Katak. The friendliness of his new ally, the Shadewalker was welcomed but he knew that the opponents ahead were way above his skill level. "I… I shall stay here. The Master should know about the base ahead."

What welcomed the duo was an entire village of Murloks. Green banners lined the entrance, their buildings were a mix of wood and bone. There were crocodiles by the water and the buildings were primitive, Katak watched as Noctis began his "Scouting" mission.

Noctis, despite being unable to speak. Could understand the purpose of his visit and was well aware of what Isaac needed from him. Without the need to protect others, his full abilities could be unleashed. While wiping out so many Murloks was not possible, he could do one of two things, maybe even both. Noctis could either assassinate the main leaders of the Murloks or he could find their treasury and steal all of the Magic Crystals that he could.

These two options could lead to the same result, free-time. The Murloks would be too busy with their rebuilding process, leaving Isaac's forces time to grow and build. Isaac could only watch as the Yellow dot in his mini-map moved forward. The friendly unit appeared and disappeared from the map as he watched red dots turn into grey.

Katak the Archer would report the incident a few hours later. "The Murloks are in chaos, My liege. The Shadewalker took down at least 6 of their main leaders and stole their valuables. They had close to 50 or 60 members in that tribe, at least 20 of which are of the larger variety of Murlok."

Katak would go on for a bit as he detailed the battle that he witnessed.

"I see, great work to the both of you, you may rest now."

"With the addition of the crystals that Noctis took from them, we have a total of 70 magic crystals. Even if I decide to save this for the Altar of Heroes then I'd still have 20 left over either for upgrades or for two more Arcane towers." Isaac walked over to the other side of the river, where the resource based buildings were present. "One Arcane tower over on this side should do."

"Progress, this much progress in just a few days. With the damage that Noctis did to them, they shouldn't be back this evening but bolstering our defenses is never the wrong decision. In two days, I should still have barely enough for a second Barrack building. Hahaaha.. I should really stop underestimating my system." At the start of his third day outside of the bunker, Isaac was ecstatic about his prospects.

With the assumption that everyone else in his batch of heroes is doing better than him, Isaac would have been frustrated but the fact of the matter is at this moment in time he only looked at the positives. "I have a city to build, I couldn't care less about those who already turned their backs on me."

On the surface it seemed like he was letting go of his anger by simply ignoring the people that wronged him, yet it was a statement that he was forcing himself to say. The burning rage that came up whenever he remembers what happened during his first day outside of the bunker, was still fresh in his mind and the anger has only seemingly subsided for now.
