100%, Murlok Base Unit

In regular RTS games, resources are necessary for both unit production and building construction. The passive spawning of units from his barracks is good but what Isaac actively needs is the gold or magic crystals. "Paying the fee for a new basic unit costs around 200 Gold coins or 20 magic crystals."

The mine was a building that he needed for this and even then the production rate wouldn't be enough. "All of the riches back in the bunker were provided to Grandpa Tony, The guide didn't give me a single one."

Isaac had two options, he could stay and fight for the evening or he could fall back and rebuild elsewhere. "The tower will be a great help, that's for sure and abandoning the buildings now would also be a waste. There's also the risk of encountering unknown opponents deeper into the forest."

Isaac decided that sticking to his decisions would have to do. "The buildings in my priority list should be, a second Barrack for an extra unit spawner and more Arcane towers. I need to fortify my defenses before anything else."

On the second night, while his numbers have dwindled. The overall strength of Isaac's defenses were far higher than the night prior. The Arcane tower, along with the addition of his new familiar, the water spirit, keeping the Murloks at bay became manageable.

The water spirit, at the cost of using Isaac's mana, could manipulate the water and push the Murloks away when necessary. Most of his forces would stay near the Arcane tower while forming a defensive line near him. With the only Noctis, the Shadewalker clearing out the monsters outside of their effective range.

The second night would be a far easier night than the first one. The waves of Murloks thinned out, a total of only two waves attacked. Both waves were manageable with only a few elites. Two Spellcasting Murloks and three of the Murlok Berserkers.

"Their numbers this time are far too low." Isaac noted. "There's either a larger wave coming or these were sent as scouts. Whatever the case may be, I want all of their corpses sent to the barn."

They had more than enough corpses to fill up the bar.

[Congratulations on 100% research of the Murlok Base Unit!]

[Mission Complete, Basic Unit Research (Murlok)! The following rewards await you in the Barracks: Basic Unit Generation (Murlok), Murlok Berserker 2x, Murlok Militia 6x, Murlok Enchanter 2x.]

"Hahaahaahhaha… So all it took was a mound of corpses?" Isaac smiled from ear to ear.

[Basic Barracks] Tier 1 Building

These barracks are a comfortable home for your units and guests. Based on the size of the current base, the production rate for units can increase. The basic barrack can house up to 12 units. Upgrades will be unlocked upon building one of each Tier 1 building type.

A basic unit (Human) will be produced once every week based on the current comfort levels of the base.

A new basic unit (Murlok) will be produced once every 3 days based on the current comfort levels of the base. (Proximity to water has hastened the usual 7 day spawn timer.)

The new descriptions included in his barracks were promising. "I can work on designing new buildings for the murloks as well."

His Murloks differed from the varied colors that the usual ones came in. Their eyes were blue and their scales were also of a similar shade. They reflected the colors that Isaac wishes to use for his faction. "There should be some additions to the training facility as well, involving the different professions available for the Murloks."

"A basic unit has no professions whereas one stop at the training facility can provide them with a profession." What he wanted to note down was the number of professions available for the Murloks seeing as he has only encountered 3 types of them so far.

[Murlok] Base Unit

The Murlok base unit can train to become one of the following: Murlok Enchanter, Murlok Berserker, Murlok Militia and Murlok Spine-thrower.

"A total of four different base professions, I really need to complete all of the tie 1 buildings so I can start upgrading everything. Unlocking upgrades and more professions for all of my units sounds good."

"Noctis, I have a mission for you." The shadow creature appeared from the dark. "Follow the river until the sun comes up or until you reach the opposing base. Take one of my Archers with you."

'Striking back is one thing, but finding out their numbers and general location can benefit me a lot.' All sorts of questions began to fill his head. "Unit List" He stated while chowing down on some of his rations.

"Unit list"

Basic Swordsman 1x

Basic Archer 2x

Basic Spearman 1x

Murlok Militia 6x

Murlok Enchanter 2x

Murlok Berserker 2x

Current Number of Units: 14

There were a few hours left until the morning sun would come. "As much as I'd like to sleep now, we need to focus on construction. Can those with big bodies among you gather some wood?"

The second night was much more fruitful than the first and things are beginning to finally look up for Isaac. Prioritizing the right thing was what he needed to do, seeing as he finally got a breath of fresh air. "There's my mastery over the water spirit as well..."

The young man who was on survival mode still has not lost focus despite his more peaceful evening. His nerves could not calm themselves he had a lot of testing to do and buildings to plan for.
