Orion I

Orion's group has now been dissolved, Inside the Sky Base everyone has different objectives that they want to accomplish. Not a single person in the party stuck by Orion's side as they all went off into different areas in the sky base.

Vanitha the elf, only stuck around due to the powerhouse from Bechnitz and her magic student, Maja. Maja only stayed due to the safety in numbers, joining Vikram's Alliance lets the both of them focus on far more important things than following whatever Orion has in his mind. Vanitha due to her magical prowess and knowledge as a long-lived creature would be accepted into the alliance's council while Maja was gorging herself on the magical books available in the base.

The trio from Bechnitz were right at home in the sky base, Vikram is one of the main heroes that served as a mentor for them back in their original realm. Vikram was ecstatic to see his fellow heroes as such the treatment for their group would be like that of elites. Clementine decided to work as a support in the medical wards, Vincent would be hired as one of the main scouts due to his speed and Travis was a heavy hitter that would enjoy privileges similar to what he enjoyed back in Bechnitz.

Antonyo, who only stayed by Orion's side due to his health problems, is in-line for surgery. One that aims to replace a liver and the other is to perform a full check-up on his heart. He died due to a heart problem in the old world. With the best doctors that the alliance had available and technology far above what Earth had, Antonyo only needed to live through a few surgeries to get back to a healthier state.

As for the duo that were under Orion, the same ones who also originated from Terra. Juno didn't like how Orion treated Isaac along with how she was used as a bargaining tool for Antonyo's stay with their party. Juno was in the Medical ward along with Clementine. Aris on the other hand was now part of the alliance's development team, experimenting with the defense systems while improving the surveillance system of the base.

Orion has always been ambitious. The reason he got the rank of Colonel in the military was due to this, along with his general knowledge in engineering and biomechanics. His goal is to gain a high rank in the alliance, one that's close to or equal to the council members.

Though there were a multitude of things that were keeping him from this. One of these things is the level of closeness between the council members and the trio from Bechnitz, his small scuffle with Travis a little more than a week prior made all the difference.

"I've decided. I'll be entering the next available mission." Orion concluded that he needed to make a name for himself if he wanted to get a better role in the Alliance.

Orion knew that his leash on his peers would disappear soon but he didn't expect it to be gone within just a day. Despite his lack of knowledge on the current problems down at the surface, he decided to jump in and try to contribute.

"With your qualifications, I can send you on a mission right away. Though no active parties are looking for new members at the moment. The system we have for groups here is similar to the one back in Terra. One captain with at least four other members." The person managing the desk went on for a few more minutes before finally handing Orion a mission.

"The missions that our faction deals with are recorded through even our own personal systems, meaning that if you finish the mission we'll have the signal that you're done so we can get people to fetch you!"

Orion didn't have to start at zero, his skills involved both engineering and combat. But to quickly gain the authority that he desired this was step one. Upon finishing the small briefing on his mission, Orion would be provided with a multitude of tools. Among these tools are a dozen drones and a vehicle to help him traverse the land.

"The mission this time is simple, there are human-like tribes on this island. You are to make contact with them, it is up to you to decide whether they are worthy of raising up or they're not worth our time." Larger threats like the swarm needed a heavy hitter or a weapon similar to that of a nuke, most missions involved either the slaughter of monsters or aiding local life.

'Back to Zero, I'll do a few missions and try to talk to the top brass. They're bound to notice when I show some real results.' Orion's optimism could not be shaken. 'My rise in this organization should be seamless, acting as a diplomat on my first mission? No sweat, this isn't a problem at all.

Orion's karma for betraying Isaac wouldn't end at just the abandonment of those that he wished to lead. Because Orion would soon find out that technology isn't everything especially in a world where there are multiple figures with access to one or both. Orion's confidence despite the lack of achievements in the world can often lead to something terrible. Despite calling Isaac a green-horn, Orion still looked down on those with little to no knowledge on technology.

[Mission: Diplomatic talk with the Enaskorin.]

The Enaskorin are a humanoid tribe living in a mountainous region on the edge of a large continent. Determine whether they are friend or foe, they can be excellent ground units according to scouting reports, due to their natural inclination for speed and their affinity for body-enhancement magic.
