5 days at Sea.
"We haven't seen land in a long time." Isaac sighed to himself as he continued drawing up another building. Their supplies aren't depleted yet, but they have also started hunting fish to provide for some of his other units. Isaac wasn't worried yet, though even his units were skeptical of the sea.
'Theoretically, I can create barracks that are smaller and focus specifically on a certain unit type.' His focus was on creating new structures for when he does reach land. He came up with designs for new buildings that can make his rise much more efficient. Namely specialized training facilities for each race and barracks that were specialized for each race as well.
"My lord, we have company." It was Callum that got his attention.
Large red dots were in his mini-map and the calm waters were gone, replaced by large waves causing the boat to shake. "The Murloks have identified them to be some sort of sea snake, A cluster of serpents if you will."
"I see, the red dots are present yet not a single one of our troops in the waters have been attacked. Let's do our best not to antagonize these creatures."
Alert, Isaac was ready to store his units in his system's inventory should he need to. The sea serpents caused the boat to shift, urging them forward. It would only take a few more minutes before the attack finally began. Surging forth from the water the head of the serpent caught a murlok and tore through parts of the raft.
"Unit list, store all units except for the murloks!" With those unfit for the waters out of the way, Isaac could focus on his own survival. "Noctis, I know flight isn't part of your list of skills but I know that you can hide in the shadows. The rest of you, disperse. I need just two to help me out of this wreck."
One more strike would ruin the raft and the quick plan was now in action. With only 5 Murloks left, two of which were helping him swim away while the other three acted as distractions.
While not part of the swim team or anything of note, Isaac is still capable of basic swimming. But the Murloks are quite literally built to swim, their aid in his escape was necessary for what comes next. It also helped that the Murlok Berserker with him was powerful enough to swim while also holding onto him.
As he gasped for air every now and again, his eyes stayed open while he looked through his mini-map. He guided the two murloks with him to a safer region away from the serpents, while also giving hints on where to go for the other murloks so that they can attract the attention of the others.
As this was occurring, Noctis hid in the shadows of his shirt. Forcing Isaac's body up above water as much as he could. But just when they thought that escape was near, the clouds began to turn dark and the waves got a whole lot stronger.
It was a mixture of things, from the crashing waves to the storm that was brewing. With the cold water and now the lack of air. Even as Isaac tried to summon his water spirit, it can't do much in this scenario against the very forces of nature.
Isaac passed out, everything went black.
'Is this it?'
'Am I meant to die such a meaningless death once more?'
'Hahahahah All I can wish for now is one shot, one shot at that son of a bitch. That stupid military haircut, his only ability was to manipulate mechanical arms! Who the hell does he think he is?!? If I survive this…then I really will keep that promise.'
Isaac would wake up just a day later at a beach. Noctis stood next to his injured and battered body, unable to move anything aside from his arms, Isaac coughed up sea water. "Unit List."
"Noctis… stay with me as my guard again. Callum, don't stray off too far. Start collecting wood and stone with the others." Isaac looked at his last murlok, the other likely died while they were carrying him away. "Great work, and thank you, the same goes for you Noctis."
"Little bird, it's time to come out now." A magical circle appeared from his left hand as the water spirit in the shape of a sparrow appeared once more. "Scout the area, I want you to inform me as soon as you can.
"New Buildings, please show them to me."
