Verund I

The Rune Knight, Aarthamion has been a hero from the moment he arrived into the scene. With the blessings he received, sensing demons and those in need of saving was part of the deal. While teleportation magic wasn't available, his mount was a Griffin.

Aarthamion was actually the first among the 12 to encounter the locals. A wave of demons from a newly opened portal to the abyss, one that's in the middle of a small bubbled city that has multiple races defending it.

The City is known as Xyrak's Point, a city that's under the protection of the Dragon's Alliance. They were normally equipped with the tech and the manpower to take on the threats on the ground, but this time there were far too many demons invading and the city is in shambles. What really caused the problem was the location of the portal of the Abyss, smack dab in the middle of their fortified base.

Over the course of one week, the Rune Knight saved the city by sealing the portal. This drew the attention of not just the locals but also the supposed protectors of the city. Members of the Dragon's Alliance arrived soon after, asking him to join their cause.

He left as soon as he could. Aarthamion couldn't join any organizations even if he wanted to, the oath that empowers him was fueled by this restriction.

His source of joy was knowing that he saved a life. Aarthamion moved on from one location to another, among the 12 he was the only one that's aware of what's going on with everyone else.

The location of the Vikram Alliance's Sky Base, Gristlethum's Tree of Life and the current rebuilding that Isaac is doing in a new island. While not fully aware of the intricacies, he still feels a small sense of responsibility when it comes to his peers.

"The one known as Orion has taken up his first task with Vikram's Alliance. Squawwwkk!!" The crow perched on his shoulder guard. "I see, there's no need for my presence then. We shall journey forward, this energy I'm sensing… it's far too potent to be just another portal."

"Isaac's potential army can do wonders in the future, those who joined an alliance will surely bring great benefits to those that are in need. While Gristlethum's mission is a noble one." Aarthamion nodded as the glow of his armor forced the demons that were surrounding him to pull back.

"The threats of this world are far too numerous." He swung his sword and a single slash was enough to send them back from whence they came. "I shall do my part."

At the heart of the demonic invasion, standing on his own, Aarthamion stood tall. Urging each and every one of them to try.

[Your actions have awakened the slumbering gods.]

The elders of the dragon alliance, the council under Vikram and those who serve the royal blood. Each of these factions would be made aware of an existence that can change the tide of battle, at least the one against the demonic forces.

The one man army, one that has been soaked in the blood of demons. The Rune Knight, Aarthamion.

Gristlethum, the shaman has been more of a botanist as of late. The seed of the tree of life has blossomed into a small but sturdy sapling. The spellcaster has created all sorts of magical barriers surrounding the area, while also enlisting the local spirits and fauna as the area's protectors.

The spirits understood the gravity of what was happening, a Tree of Life hasn't been seen in the root realm for ages. With the sapling that Gristlethum was cultivating, the potential for the world to change for the better was at arm's reach.

As such while he quietly continued his mission, his first visitor would come in the form of one of the most powerful creatures that was summoned in the world. The leader of the dragon's alliance, a monster that is known to all as incomparable. Peerless and the sole reason why the skies are free of the threats that littered the ground.

The Sky Sovereign, Lukthamun. A dragon that originated from Verund, Legends of his power and mystique could not do enough justice for the presence of the being that was in front of the orc.

Gristlethum kneeled without meaning to.

"A tree of life and a worthy protector." The dragon was far larger than the trees, the voice boomed throughout the forest. Any and all that could feel fear were forced to either kneel or run away. "My forces shall ensure the safety of this region."

The dragon's arrival would signal the start of a comfortable rise. Gristlethum would keep his advancements and connection to the tree, while the Dragon's Alliance would move multiple Sky-bases near the island.

With the strongest of the three main factions backing him, Gristlethum could place all of his focus on what he needed to do. His safety was guaranteed and any hostile creature within the vicinity of the island or anywhere that can be considered close to it would be cleansed.

Gristlethum had enough skill to hide the tree of life and its energy during the first week, only Lukthamun himself was capable of sniffing it out. In the eyes of the dragon, Gristlethum was good enough for him to continue in his mission. The Sky Sovereign forced the nearest groups under him to migrate to the island, this move would quickly create one of the most well protected spots in the realm. Though this meant that certain spots would no longer be under their protection, creating the hub and fostering the growth of a Tree of Life would no doubt be for the greater good for all.
