WORK

Xavier's eyes lingered on Luna's determined face for a moment before he nodded curtly. "Alright, you've got the job. But let me make one thing clear: I expect nothing but the highest level of professionalism and discretion from you. Can you handle that?"

Luna's face lit up with a bright smile. "Yes, I can handle it. Thank you so much for the opportunity!"

Xavier's expression remained stern, but a hint of a smile played on his lips. "Don't thank me yet. You'll be working hard to earn your pay. The kitchen is just down the hallway to your left. You will start now. Make something for us to eat."

Gabriel and Alexander, who were watching the exchange with interest, nodded in approval. "Welcome to the team, Luna," Gabriel said with a smile.

Alexander chuckled. "Yeah, and don't worry if Xavier seems a bit...prickly. He's all bark and no bite."

Xavier shot his friends a warning glance, but Luna just laughed. "I think I can handle him," she said with a grin.

With that, Luna headed to the kitchen to start her new job, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. She had no idea what to expect, but she was determined to prove herself and earn her pay.

Luna returned to the living room, looking slightly flustered. "Um, I have a problem," she said, addressing Xavier. "There's no groceries in the kitchen. I was going to make something for you to eat, but I don't have any ingredients to work with."

Xavier raised an eyebrow, his expression slightly annoyed. "That's impossible," he said. "We always keep the kitchen stocked with essentials. Gabriel, can you check on that for me?"

Gabriel nodded and got up from his seat, heading towards the kitchen. He returned a few moments later, looking sheepish. "Sorry, Xavier. It looks like the staff must have forgotten to restock the kitchen. We're completely out of groceries."

Xavier sighed, rubbing his temples. "Fine. Alexander, can you please order some groceries online and have them delivered ASAP?"

Alexander nodded and pulled out his phone, starting to dial a number. "On it, Xavier."

Xavier turned to Luna, his expression apologetic. "Sorry about the inconvenience. Why don't you take some time to familiarize yourself with the kitchen and the rest of the mansion? We'll have groceries delivered soon, and you can start cooking once they arrive."

Luna nodded, feeling a bit relieved. "Okay, thank you. I'll take a look around and get settled in."

As she turned to leave, Xavier called out to her. "Luna?"

She turned back to him. "Yes?"

"Make sure to check the pantry and the fridge, just in case there's anything left over from the previous staff," he instructed.

Luna nodded and headed to the kitchen to start her exploration. As she walked in, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. She had never worked in a kitchen like this before, and she wasn't sure what to expect.

She started by checking the pantry, which was surprisingly well-organized. She found a few cans of soup, some pasta, and a bag of rice. Not much, but it was a start.

Next, she checked the fridge, which was almost empty except for a few bottles of water and a container of leftover Chinese takeout. Luna's stomach growled at the sight of the food, and she wondered if it was still edible.

Just as she was about to close the fridge door, she heard a voice behind her. "Find anything interesting?"

Luna turned to see Gabriel standing in the doorway, a smirk on his face. "Not really," she replied, laughing. "Just a few cans of soup and some leftover Chinese food."

Gabriel chuckled. "Well, at least you'll have something to eat while you're waiting for the groceries to arrive."

Luna smiled, feeling a bit more at ease. "Yeah, I guess so."

Gabriel walked into the kitchen, his eyes scanning the space. "So, what do you think of the kitchen? It's pretty state-of-the-art, right?"

Luna nodded, impressed. "Yeah, it's amazing. I've never seen anything like it."

Gabriel smiled, clearly proud of the kitchen. "Xavier spared no expense when he designed this place. He's a bit of a foodie, so he wanted to make sure the kitchen was top-notch."

Luna's eyes widened in surprise. "Xavier's a foodie? I wouldn't have guessed that."

Gabriel chuckled. "Yeah, he's a bit of a surprise package. Don't let his tough exterior fool you – he's got a soft spot for good food and wine."

Luna smiled, feeling like she was getting a glimpse into Xavier's personality. "I'll have to keep that in mind," she said.

Just then, the sound of the doorbell echoed through the hallway. Gabriel grinned. "Ah, that must be the groceries. I'll go let the delivery guy in."

He headed out of the kitchen, leaving Luna to wonder what other surprises the day might hold.

As Gabriel left the kitchen, Luna heard the sound of the front door opening and the murmur of voices as Gabriel greeted the delivery person. A few moments later, Gabriel returned to the kitchen, followed by a delivery person carrying several bags of groceries.

"Ah, perfect timing," Gabriel said, as the delivery person began to unload the groceries onto the kitchen counter. "Luna, why don't you start putting these away while I go help Xavier with something?"

Luna nodded, and began to sort through the groceries, putting them away in the pantry and fridge. As she worked, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. She was really doing this – she was working for the billionaire brothers, and she was determined to make a good impression.

Just as she was finishing up, Xavier walked into the kitchen, a look of approval on his face. "Ah, excellent," he said, surveying the neatly organized groceries. "You're quite efficient, Luna. I like that."

Luna smiled, feeling a sense of pride. "Thank you, Mr. Xavier" she said.

Xavier's eyes narrowed slightly. "Please, call me Xavier. We're not formal here."

Luna nodded, feeling a sense of relief. "Okay, Xavier. What's next? What do you need me to do?"

Xavier smiled, a small, enigmatic smile. "Oh, I think we'll start with something simple. Why don't you make us some lunch?"

Luna nodded, feeling a surge of excitement. "Okay, what would you like me to make?"

Xavier leaned against the counter, his eyes narrowing slightly as he thought. "Hmm, how about some sandwiches? We've got some excellent prosciutto and arugula in the fridge. And maybe some soup to go with it?"

Luna nodded, already mentally planning out the meal. "Sounds great. I'll get started right away."

As she began to prepare the sandwiches and soup, Luna couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. She was really doing this – she was cooking for the billionaire brothers, and she was determined to make it a meal to remember.

As she worked, Gabriel and Alexander wandered into the kitchen, chatting and laughing. They sniffed the air, their eyes lighting up with interest.

"Something smells amazing in here," Gabriel said, his stomach growling with anticipation.

Luna smiled, feeling a sense of pride. "Just making some sandwiches and soup for lunch," she said.

Alexander's eyes widened with excitement. "Ooh, can we help? We're starving!"

Luna laughed, shaking her head. "No, no, I've got it under control. But you can set the table for me, if you'd like."

As the brothers set the table, Luna finished up the meal, carefully arranging the sandwiches and soup on a large platter. She stepped back, admiring her handiwork.

Xavier walked over, his eyes scanning the platter. "Ah, excellent," he said, his voice filled with approval. "You've outdone yourself, Luna. This looks amazing."

Luna beamed with pride, feeling a sense of accomplishment. She had done it – she had impressed the billionaire brothers with her cooking. Now, all she had to do was keep it up.
