HIS MOOD SWING

As the brothers finished their meal, Xavier's expression turned serious. "Luna, I have to say, I'm impressed. You're not just a good cook, you're also efficient and organized. I think you're going to fit in well here."

Luna nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Xavier. "Thank you, Xavier."

Xavier's face remained cold, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Don't thank me yet, Luna. You still have a lot to prove. Now, why don't you take the rest of the day off? You can start fresh tomorrow morning."

Luna's eyes widened slightly at Xavier's cold demeanor, but she nodded nonetheless. "Yes, thank you, Xavier."

As she turned to leave, she caught a glimpse of Gabriel and Alexander exchanging a concerned glance. It was clear that Xavier's behavior was not typical, and Luna couldn't help but wonder what had caused his mood to shift so suddenly.

Luna walked through the front door of her family's home, dropping her purse onto the couch. Her mom looked up from the kitchen, a warm smile on her face.

"Hey, dear How was your first day?"

Luna shrugged, feeling a mix of emotions. "It was okay, I guess. The brothers are really nice, but Xavier can be a bit... intense."

Her mom nodded, her expression understanding. "Well, you'll get used to him. Just be yourself and do your best."

Luna nodded, feeling a sense of comfort wash over her. She was glad to be home, surrounded by the people and things she loved.

Just as she was about to head to her room, her phone buzzed with a text from Gabriel.

"Hey Luna, just wanted to check in and make sure you're doing okay after lunch today."

Luna's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. She hadn't expected Gabriel to text her, and she wasn't sure how to respond.

Luna's fingers hovered over the screen as she debated how to respond. She didn't want to seem too eager or interested, but at the same time, she didn't want to be rude.

Finally, she typed out a quick response.

"Hey Gabriel, yeah I'm fine thanks. Just got home and was unwinding."

She sent the message and waited, wondering what Gabriel would say next.

A few minutes later, her phone buzzed again.

"Cool, glad to hear that. We're looking forward to seeing what you can do in the kitchen tomorrow. Don't worry if Xavier seems a bit tough - he's all bark and no bite."

Luna smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. Maybe this job wouldn't be so bad after all.

She typed out a quick response, feeling a bit more at ease.

"Thanks Gabriel, I appreciate the advice. I'll see you all tomorrow."

With that, she closed her phone and headed to her room, feeling a sense of exhaustion wash over her. It had been a long day, but she was ready to face whatever challenges tomorrow might bring.

As she drifted off to sleep, Luna couldn't shake the feeling that tomorrow would be a big day. She had a feeling that Xavier would be testing her skills in the kitchen, and she was determined to prove herself.

The next morning, Luna woke up feeling refreshed and ready to go. She got dressed and headed downstairs, where her mom had already made her a hearty breakfast.

"Good luck today, my dear," her mom said, giving her a hug. "I know you'll do great."

Luna smiled and thanked her mom, feeling a sense of gratitude for her support. She grabbed her bag and headed out the door, ready to face whatever the day might bring.

As she arrived at the mansion, Luna was greeted by Gabriel, who was sipping a cup of coffee in the kitchen.

"Hey, Luna! Ready for your first full day of cooking?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

Luna nodded, feeling a sense of determination. "I was born ready," she said with a smile.

Gabriel chuckled and clapped her on the back. "I like your spirit, Luna. Let's get cooking!"

Just as they were discussing the day's menu, Luna's gaze drifted towards the doorway, where Xavier was standing, his eyes fixed intently on her. His hand was casually tucked into his pant pocket, and his chiseled features seemed even more striking than before.

But what really caught Luna's attention was Xavier's bold, red outfit. His hair was styled perfectly, and a sleek, red earring glinted in his earlobe. He looked every inch the powerful, confident billionaire, and Luna couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest as their eyes met.

"Young lady you are late for work Xavier said Coldly walking across the seating room

Luna's heart skipped a beat as Xavier's cold words washed over her. She felt a surge of anxiety and hastily grabbed her bag, trying to compose herself. "I'm sorry, I lost track of time," she stammered, avoiding eye contact.

Xavier's expression remained icy, his voice dripping with disapproval. "You can't afford to lose track of time, Luna. Not in this household. Let's go."

Xavier led Luna upstairs to the luxurious bedrooms, where she would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the space. But before she started her duties, he instructed her to first make breakfast for the family.

Luna nodded and headed to the kitchen, her mind racing with thoughts of what to prepare. She decided on a hearty breakfast spread, complete with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and freshly baked pastries.

As she worked, she couldn't help but wonder what the day ahead would bring. Would Xavier's cold demeanor thaw, or would he remain distant and aloof?

As she finished preparing breakfast, Luna heard the sound of footsteps approaching. She turned to see Xavier walking towards her, his eyes scanning the spread she had laid out.

"Good," he said curtly, his expression unreadable. "You've made a decent breakfast. I expect the same level of quality in your cleaning duties."

Luna nodded, feeling a sense of relief that she had met his expectations. "Yes, Xavier," she replied, correcting herself.

Xavier's eyes seemed to gleam with approval at the correction, but his expression remained stern. "I'll be inspecting the rooms personally," he warned. "I expect them to be spotless."

Luna swallowed hard, feeling a surge of anxiety. She knew she had to prove herself, not just as a cook, but as a cleaner as well. She nodded again, determination etched on her face. "I won't disappoint you, Xavier."

Xavier nodded, his expression softening ever so slightly. "See that you don't," he said, before turning to leave.

Luna watched him go, feeling a sense of trepidation. She knew she had a lot of work ahead of her, and she was determined to prove herself.

She took a deep breath and began to clear the breakfast dishes, her mind racing with thoughts of the tasks ahead. As she worked, she couldn't help but wonder what Xavier was really like, beneath his tough exterior.

Was he always so cold and distant, or was there a warmer side to him that he only showed to those closest to him? Luna couldn't help but feel a spark of curiosity, and she found herself wanting to know more about the enigmatic Xavier.
