Confined!

In a damp dark cold room, a single metallic bed was present without a mattress. On the bed, Cheng Shan was sitting casually as though the cold had nothing to do with him.

Without even caring about the reason he was thrown in such a place, he had already made himself at home. "The Military Corps are just as tough as the rumors say. But what are they trying to accomplish with putting me in this place? My time is being wasted in this place!"

Cheng Shan didn't bother much about the issue, rather he was starting to think about cultivating the Dragon Elephant technique to the sixth level with this chance.

Raising the level of of the technique just means that he would he be an easier time cultivating and breaking through. When his eyes closed, he could still feel s presence spying on him from the dark. He ignored it, and focused his attention on the technique.

Outside the cell, a group was standing and a man with a muscular body, among them. He was very much similar to Si Yishui in appearance.

Next to him, was the two men that had caught Cheng Shan.

"Lieutenant, why did we still confine him to the cell when all the equipment show that he is just at the middle of the Fourth Heaven. You have read the records of this guy right? In just over a year he is becoming stronger faster, is it worthy offending him?" Another companion complained.

"This is the battlefield! The jurisdiction of the military. Even those powerful individuals have to give the military face." The Lieutenant replied as he looked at the situation in the room coldly.

"As long as it is true he hid his cultivation and caused the death of others, no one will be able to help him even if he has some backing!" The Lieutenant was confident of this.

"The cells were built to intimidate those at the first and second Heaven, they are lacking then it comes to him." One of those that arrested Cheng Shan added.

"Why not apply for a higher cell then? It should be far more than enough to stop him from acting so relaxed." The man with an appearance similar to Si Yishui finally gave his input.

"Lieutenant I heard rumors that he was saved by a strong man on the frontlines, do you really think they had no relationship?" The only man in the room that was silent all this time suddenly spoke.

"Don't worry! If he had any background he would have already used it before us, or indicated on his file. You should also know that the Military Corp has the best intelligence gathering resources all around the country." The Lieutenant wasn't speaking lies.

Cheng Shan didn't have any important background so he didn't care much about locking him up. The only thing that made some of the people in the room gloomy was the fact he was too comfortable.

"But I think we should not be concerned about his calm state. Perhaps even a high level cell might not change this. After all those that have been on the battlefield fighting against monsters are not to be underestimated." The Lieutenant spoke while reassuring the other officers.

"Lieutenant! When are you going to intoragate this guy?" Su Lin asked.

He had heard more about this man from his brother but after hearing more from the records they had of him, he felt uneasy. 

If his cultivation really was at the fourth heaven, then he had to be ready to escape from the front lines. Offending such a person with strong talent in cultivation and terrifying combat power is never a good idea.

Three hours of observing passed by and the Lieutenant finally sent someone to come for him.

When walking to the interrogation room, he saw a figure similar to Su Yishui.

When the officer saw his eyes, he also looked over, but unlike Cheng Shan, he nodded to that guy.

But when Su Lin saw Cheng Shan's eyes landing on him, he had a strange feeling as if being starred at by a beast. His face become pale, and the time he recovered, Cheng Shan was already gone.

"No! This guy is definitely not in the fourth heaven." He concluded as he grit his teeth. He also had fear on his face, after all he almost capsized from just a look.

In the interrogation room, Cheng Shan was sitting on some cold metallic chair. Before him was a burly man, and he looked at him with fierce eyes.

"Cheng Shan! I've seen your records. You are from the Cheng clan right? Why did you come to the battlefield?" The moment this question was asked, everyone watching this interrogation had a strange look.

"Huh!" Cheng Shan looked at the Lieutenant with strange eyes.

When he saw that this question came out baldy, he reorganized his wording.

"I mean! At such a young age, why are you in a rush to join the battlefield?" He asked again but differently.

The first question was not something, he of the Lieutenant rank should be found saying. It was as though implying the battlefield was for those without a background to come and die.

"I need resources for cultivation!" Cheng Shan didn't beat around the bush with this.

"Huh" this time it was the turn of the Lieutenant to be shocked.

He had seen a lot of people, but most of them will either beat around the bush and claim to be patriots, and fighting demons is the right thing to do. But he has never seen someone that points out facts like this.

"Cough! Cough!" He couldn't help but cough from this reply.

"So that means as long as you get resources you will abandon the battlefield?" He asked another question from the previous reply.

"Not really! I still want to kill some demons to train." The moment this response came out, the face of the Lieutenant twitched.

He wasn't the only person that was watching this interrogation though. 

On another floor of the Military Corp, a young man that had rescued him from before was present. 

He was laughing at this responses, and at the same time felt this young man was not socially adept.

"Mr Huang! Why did you let this young man be arrested if you have interest in him. I heard you are the one that saved his life on the battlefield. But knowing your personality, you probably won't do this unless someone asked you to interfere right? Is your master trying to select another disciple?" The men standing on the opposite of the Huang Long was that person in charge of this Military Corp.

"Well! It doesn't matter. Sometimes it is best to try and find out more about people first." Huang Long just replied calmly.

"But this young man!.." the head of the Military Corp seemed hesitant to speak.

But surprisingly, Huang Long that was smiling on the side finished his words for him.

"You think he is lacking to be master's disciple right? But I have a feeling master will be very happy with such an honest disciple." Huang Long just smiled to this.

"By the way, gather all the information about the young man and what ordinary people can't access. You know what I mean right?" He was asking the Military Corp head to gather all the information about Cheng Shan. That included his family and even information the Cheng clan has hidden deeply.

Back in the interrogation room, the Lieutenant asked another question, "What cultivation do you have without concealment?" 

"I'm at the middle of fourth heaven!" He replied calmly, but the dead look in his eyes just made one uneasy.

"Are you sure about this? Once we found out you are lying, you will bear the consequences." The Lieutenant was sure that this words meant nothing. If he wanted to find out about this, it would be easy to accomplish.

"I'm sure!" How could he not be sure of his cultivation.

"Okay! Bring him back to the cell. We still have to verify your words before anything else." The Lieutenant had the officers bring him back to his cell.

In the cell, Cheng Shan resumed his meditation and started to visualize the dragon elephant and the result was not satisfactory.

"It seams that the fastest way to improve would be going back on the battlefield. I hope this issue ends quick, so that I can raise my cultivation fast. If I stay in this place, it might end up wasting my time." He complained inwardly.

While Cheng Shan was in meditation. Su Yishui was in some Military residence with Su Lin.

"Cousin! You mean that kid might be released any time soon? How can that be? That was not why you promised me!" 

"Cousin! It's not that I don't want to help you, but that kid doesn't behave normal. I thought he would complain, during the entire process he just remained calm. It you want to reach him a lesson there is another way?" Su Lin advised.

"Huh! What way?"
