Black meets White

After reaching the proper destination, I opened the door and saw my roommates Blackjack and Arthur sitting across that messy room. They were playing a game called domino.

"Hey there, want to join us?" asked Blackjack.

 "Um… sure." I replied.

All the pieces laying down at the floor facing towards the ceiling, starred its black and white dalmatian-like rectangular shaped pieces towards me.

Blackjack as the name implied was the master in card and board games, he would find a way to win no matter the odds. Honestly, I don't mind that though. Games was never really my "calling" to say the truth.

And so, we began another match. We played for at least three other rounds before going to sleep…

…The Next day was a shiny day; birds flew north on an arrowed shape dynamic creating colorful waves on that pale blue sky. It was early in the day, and I was the only one awake in guys dormitory. I went downstairs to the garden area trying not to wake anyone.

The garden was filled with a variety of flowers. Some of them being Violets, Roses, Delphiniums, Orchids, Lavender, Tulips, Aster. They were all impeccably stunning.

As I approached the fancy water fountain which was placed right at the center of the garden with a detailed statue imprinting the image of a middle-aged queen with her gown and the classy crown holding a magic wand that is powering the water fountain. The wand pointed to the south, and besides that weird looking statue, had a rather long wooden bench that could fit about eight people.

It was a quite the elite school, but it did lack the etiquette, morale, and respect that you'd think monarchs should have, but whatever, I won't complain.

I sat at the bench while I digested that painted beyond my eyes…

A few minutes later, I saw a girl with the hair of fire and beauty of Freyja walking through the maze of roses approaching me in a scent of wonder. She was wearing a white dress with some ancient Norse mythology details giving it a sense of life and culture.

Suddenly the wind blew and with it her danced, the petals of the flowers flew in the air serenading her as she passed by. My heart fluttered… it was strange. With every step she took, my heart felt like a race. I started sweating endlessly and couldn't calm down for some reason.

A few moments later she approached me.

"H-Hi, It's Collen, right?" her voice was so soft and melancholy. Her tone emitted an expression I was familiar with: anti-social.

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you, Lily. Want to take a seat?"

She slowly sat down near me taking another spot on that wide bench. She was holding a book with an intriguing looking cover; it had a broken mirror with different fragments of a girl in different time periods covered in red blood marks. The book title was The Scarlet Diary: A tale of Elizabeth Báthory. It was written by Telian Magnus, A powerful necromancer known to be able to resuscitate the dead for a brief period of time and interview them for her books.

I tried glancing at her, but instead I felt our eyes connecting in some sort of trance. My heart suddenly started racing again. I could feel her hot breath near my skin. I started blacking out.

"U-um, have you ever read any books by Telian Magnus? She's my favorite author but I feel like there's some people who judge her due to her methods."

Before I lost all my senses, I got a hold of myself and came back to my body, gaining consciousness to all my surroundings.

"Uh- Yes. I've read quite a couple of her books. The ways she tells the hidden stories and different perspectives from characters in history is really interesting and I find it inspiring and curious to find out more."

"Oh, may I ask which ones you've already read?"

"I've read Anne of a 'Thousand Days: A Queen's Memoir,' 'In Verse and in secret: Memoirs of a Queen,' 'Shadowing the founders: Elizabeth Schuyler on Hamilton & Burr,' and a few others…"

"Oh, those are really intriguing. Telian Magnus is my favorite author due to the way she communicates with the reader and shares her stories through someone's eyes, mind, and experiences. It seems as if she was really there."

I shifted my head lightly facing her.

"What's wrong? Is there something in my face?"

I felt something hit me. Her eyes were as blue as the ocean. So beautiful as it reflected the sun light.

"You're stunning."

I touched her hand, and I gained memories of some sort of previous life…
