chapter-288

Kuya

Keifer's POV

Keiren passed me behind us as we were getting off the plane. He was fast
asleep, probably because of the long journey. We arrived in the Philippines early in the morning. As expected,
the one who picked us up was already waiting. He was leaning on his car, cross arm while creasing his
orehead. I approached him. "How long have you been waiting?" I ask him. Tiger looks at me. "Probably half an
hour." He yawned and didn't bother to cover his mouth. He opened the backseat door of his yellow car and
helped Keiren get in. When he closed the door, I noticed him looking at the plane I had come from. I also
turned around and saw the flight stewardess getting off the plane. She was carrying our belongings that I had
orgotten. I washed my face with my hand. Damn this woman. Her chest was bouncing with every step she
took. "Mr Watson. You forgot this." She said in a sweet voice. I took the belongings and put them inside the
car. I noticed Tiger's wide smile. It seemed like his sleepiness disappeared when he saw the stewardess. "Hi
Miss." He greeted her and the woman waved back at him. I rolled my eyes. She really can attract men easily. I
prayed a lot throughout our trip. I called all the saints and even though I'm not religious, I think I prayed all
kinds of prayers. I belong only to Jay-jay. Only he can touch my body and only he can control my whole being.
I'm tempted because I'm a man but I can resist that. "That's chicks." Tiger said and looked at me while
wiggling his eyebrows. "What did you do the whole trip?" "Sleeping." I answered before getting inside his car. I
was stunned by the colors of his car. His wheel are covered with yellow fur. The dashboard has the same
texture but has a different design. Still has the touch of yellow. The interior is a headache to look at. Head
pillows are yellow head the eyes and tail of a pokemon. I think this is pikachu. Tiger also got into his car. His
smile was wide while driving. "You really didn't do anything to the girl? That's a shame." "I regret it more when I
punish you for that." He shook his head. "Why are you so patient with Angelo's cousin?" "Excuse me?" "No
offense. There are many more beautiful ones there and they are even more girly ." "Jay-jay is a girl." I said as I
crossed my arms. "Maybe boyish but still a woman." " That's a girl." "No she's not." "That's a girl!" "She's not."
"That's a girl!" What the... "Why do you keep insisting that she's a lesbian?" I almost got angry at her. Jay-jay
was really the one she called a tomboy. Yes, she does moves like a man, fight like a man, punch like a man,
eats like a man, trash talk like a manâ€"okay! Almost like a man! But she's still a very beautiful woman to me.
"I've seen her before." He said that makes me look at him. "When we were on a trip to Angelo's province. I saw
her there." I didn't know they were going there. Even though I knew they still wouldn't let me or us go. Angelo's
riend keep insisting that we're too young to be with them. But they still make me give orders when they see
me. "That was a very long time ago. How do you remember that? I thought you had a weak memory." "Ay
harsh." He said and smirked. "You have a weak memory." I slightly closed my eyes because of the bright lights
of the car that met us. "No, but I know your brain is small." He suddenly stepped on the brake. I almost fell
over because of what he did but I remembered Keiren who was fast asleep just behind us. It's a good thing he
doesn't fall and is still sleeping peacefully. "What the hell is it?" I turned to face him annoyed. His head stuck
out of the window and was looking back. I look the same direction he's looking but there's nothing at the dark
road. "What are you looking at?" He turned to me as if he was really shocked. "I think I rolled my eyes. I think I
saw Raffy and Ion." He said as if he was really shocked. "Who?" He flinched slightly. "Which one of us has a
memory problem?" "Yes! I remember Raffy or Rafael. He's your friend with glasses who often laughs and
smiles." He pulled himself together. "It's like they're the ones I saw." "How did they end up here? I thought
Rafael and....Ion were missing." It doesn't make any sense. I just thought of this now. Rafael and Ion are both
missing. Angelo's friend and girl are both missing for I don't know how long. When Angelo finds out what Tiger
saw, even if it's just a blink of an eye, that one will grow tired and he will probably take steps without thinking.
"Maybe you just squinted. The driver I saw was old." I lied. "They really do." He said to himself. "He's just
sleepy. I'll drive." I said and was about to open the door. "Iihhh no!" He said softly and hugged the steering
wheel of his car. "I can only drive Baby." Baby? He called his yellow car a baby? "Did you just call your car
a....fvcking baby?" He suddenly slapped me on the arm. I was shocked by what he did because he looked like
a woman upset with her boyfriend. "Don't curse my Baby!" He said and kissed the wheel before hugging it
again. "Don't worry Baby, Daddy loves you." I winced. Damn! I guess that's why he doesn't have a girlfriend and
this one is because he loves his car more than the girls he meets. He started the car again and started it. I just
kept quiet while he continued talking. He said again that he had seen Jay-jay before. When did he prove that it
was him? I smiled as I imagined what he looked like then. "Dirty, and he didn't have slippers. The boys he
played with were even fighting." I kept thinking, what if I had seen and met him then? If Aries did introduce her
to us. Maybe we became friends or enemies like the first time we met. It's probably not this complicated.
While he continued talking, I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep. The sky was already light when I woke up.
"Breakfast?" I heard Keiren ask as he handed me a piece of bread. I accepted it and thanked him. I looked at
Tiger who was also eating while driving. "Are we still far?" "Here we are." He said and pointed out the house
not too far away from us. Now that I saw that, I started to notice the place. The surroundings were surrounded
by tall, towering trees. It was as if the house was really hidden from the public. There were no other houses
nearby. The long road only led to one destination.
That creepy house.
We stopped right in front of it. At first glance,
it looked like an old provincial house, but it's not. The front is just a wooden post and
a cracked window. If you look closely, the wood color is just paint.
The window is actually glass that was just painted to
look cracked.
Tiger got out but Keiren and I stayed inside his car for now.
He rang the doorbell and waited for the door to open.
We waited for a few minutes but no one opened the door.
Tiger repeated what he did and was also accompanied by a knock.
The door opened but instead of a person, a gun greeted him.
Tiger quickly raised both hands as he stepped
back.
"You're disturbing Leo!" Said the woman holding the gun.
One of our teachers at HVIS. The sly teacher who
Section E feared and admired.
Ms. Cindy Smith.
Leo smiled broadly. "Did I disturb your eleven
?"
Ma'am Cindy narrowed her eyes and aimed the shotgun she was holding.
Tiger quickly backed away while still laughing.
"Oy! Oy! Don't scare me like that!" He said while trying to find
a place to hide.
"I'm not scaring you. I'll really shoot you."
Tiger didn't seem to be really scared because he was still laughing
.
"Kuya, who's that?" Keiren asked.
"That's my teacher."
The two still didn't stop until I saw
the person who was my real target here come out of the door.
"Stop that." His serious voice are so deep. "...
That Leo is just teasing you."
"Tsk! Tiger, not Leo." Leo said annoyed.
I opened the car door and got out. The three of them looked
at me.
"Sir Alvin." I greeted him.
"Just Alvin, we're not at school." He said and went back inside his
house.
Ma'am Cindy and Tiger followed him. I got Keiren off
the backseat and got his things.
This is why I asked
Honey to find a disposable phone. I needed a place where Keiren could hide away from
our monster father.
But Keigan didn't know anything about it. Our original plan is to send
Keiren somewhere in the United Kingdom which I think is dumb.
That guy has a lot of eyes so he will also know where my brother is.
I also know that I will turn against them if they find out that I am
taking Keiren to the Philippines. We don't have anything here. So it came to my mind
to ask for help from people who are not just like that.
Like Angelo.
But he'll definitely ask for a payment. So better to ask someone else. And
Sir Alvin came up in my mind.
The door closed automatically when we entered. The house was big and
if it looked old on the outside, it was modern on the inside. There weren't
many displays or figurines. It was complete with things.
I first put the things down on their black sofa. We went straight to the Dining
which was right next to the kitchen. Tiger was already seated at the table and
started eating.
"What's your brother's name?" Ma'am Cindy asked.
"Keiren."
She nodded before putting down a plate full of fried rice. She also got an
empty plate and glass.
"Keiren, sit here and have breakfast." She said as she pulled the
empty chair for my brother.
Keiren looked at me as if asking for permission. I nodded
shortly and let go of his hand. He approached the bench pulled by
Ma'am.
"Eat a little Keifer." It was Tiger. He
was still spitting out his food while he was talking. His mouth was full
and seemed to be running out. He was still taking it even though there was more
on his plate.
I sighed. I'm not here to observe them. I decided to look around and find Sir
â€"Alvin, I mean. We still have something to talk about because
our conversation on the phone didn't go well.
I noticed a shadow moving in an open door. I peeked
at it and saw my purpose.
"Mind if I disturb you?" I ask after knocking briefly.
He turned slightly. "Come in."
I entered as he ordered and saw what he was really busy with
. He's cleaning his guns. They're lined up on the table.
The cleaning supplies he uses are also placed there.
By watching him now I'm starting to see the other side of Sir Alvin.
Far, far from our teacher who always talks about us getting organized.
"How long will we watch your brother?" He asked
without looking at me.
He aimed a gun and pointed it in different directions.
"After my birthday, I'll take her again."
"I just want to remind you that my wife is not wife material
so don't expect anything." He explained. "Besides, he might witness
us holding a gun from time to time. My wife doesn't know how to cook
perfectly, she knows how to use a bazooka but she doesn't how to use a
acuum." He sighs and rests his hands on top of the table. "I really don't want
a child in the house but I owe you and I want to
pay you back. So I'll leave your brother here."
My lips form a smile but more like a smirk.
"Do you and your wife are having some kind of couples issue?" I ask
and cross my arm.
He sighs again before facing me. "She wants a child."
"But you can't."
He chuckled. "No one knows we're married.
My grandfather will kill her if they find out."
"It's hard to have issues in the family."
He shook his head. "You said it."
A moment of silence fell over us. He briefly faced the
guns and put them one by one in the bags.
"I'll just take my inheritance. When I can, I'll help
you too."
"Don't bother. I don't want to owe you anything."
I smiled. He's really a man full of pride. It's amazing that
he can swallow that to become someone else.
"You're still going to work?" I ask him.
"Yeah. It looks like you need to go there too."
It looks like it.
He finished what he was doing and took out his bags. I followed him and
watched him put the guns in his secret storage.
There were probably guns in every corner of the house.
"Does Angelo know that you brought your brother here?"
"I have no reason to tell him."
He shrugged his shoulder and continued placing the guns in different
places. Under the table, at the ceiling, under the tiled floor and many
unexpected places. We've almost gone around the whole house. Even the second
floor and their bedroom have been filled.
The kitchen was our final destination. I caught up with Ma'am
Cindy who was taking care of Keiren, her expression changed quickly
when she saw us.
Alvin opened one of the drawers and put in a gun.
"Hang on! It's not a spoon you're cooking with here in the kitchen." Tiger
said while eyeing us in the kitchen.
"Don't swear!" Ma'am Cindy said.
Alvin finished fixing the gun. He patted me on the shoulder before
coming to the table to eat.
"Eat, Keifer." Tiger said.
He seemed to be the owner of the house if he could manage. I just joined them
at the table. While we were eating, Alvin explained the set-up at
home now that Keiren was here with them.
They didn't have the same schedule so they could switch people around in the
house. This morning, Ma'am Cindy was with my brother. At
noon, his wife.
After eating, I took Keiren to the living room to talk to him.
"Hey, do you like this place?" I asked him.
He nodded. "I'm here now?"
"For a while. When everything is settled, I'll get back to you."
"It's okay. I know you have a lot to do. Kuya Keigan
keeps saying that I shouldn't bother you. I don't want to be a hindrance."
"No, you're not a hindrance. My mind is just confused. I don't know
which to prioritize. I just need a friend's help."
"I understand Kuya." He said and hugged me. "Just come back to me."
"Of course I will." I said and hugged him back.
He let go of me and looked at me. I smiled at him and ruffled
his hair.
"Don't leave the house. Don't answer the phone. Don't
talk to people you don't know. Don't open the
door. Don't be naughty either. Ma'am Cindy might shoot you." I said
and laughed.
He smiled and nodded. I handed him his bags and let
him go to the room he was supposed to be shown.
I watch him run upstairs. I can't help but think of
something. We were traumatized when Keigan was taken away from us,
the circumstances were different but the effect on me was almost the same. I really didn't want to
take him away but that was what was needed.
I took the disposable phone from the paperbag and texted one of
my plans when I returned to the country.
Angelo.
To: Demon
Message: any updates about the initiation?
I looked at Tiger as he walked towards me. He sat down on the
long sofa and almost lay down.
"Aren't you leaving yet?" I ask him.
"Just wait. I'm just taking a break."
I look at him straight in the eyes. "Tiger, make sure you don't
talk about this."
He put two fingers to his lips and gestured like a zipper
closing.
He was still talking so I had to make sure
he would be quiet. We both looked at the stairs. Alvin was coming down followed by
his wife and Keiren.
"Let's go." Alvin said.
He headed straight for the door and Tiger followed him. I faced
Ma'am Cindy and Keiren.
"We're leaving. You should take care of him." I turn to Keiren.
"Please behave. I'll call from time to time."
He waves his hand and says goodbye. I turn my back at them and leave.
I went straight to Alvin's car. I held the disposable phone and waited
or a reply.
This place was far from the city itself.
We had been traveling for almost two hours. No one spoke and only the noise of the radio was the only thing
that
bothered us.
When we arrived at school, it was like the person next to me had become a different person.
He was smiling and seemed to be completely relaxed. Typical of him inside the
school.
"Where are you?" He asked while removing his seatbelt.
"I'm here for now. I'll wait for the students to leave."
He nodded. "Okay. Got to go."
He opened the door of his car and got out. He even greeted
the students he met. I stayed inside his car
until class started and there were no more students
outside.
I went out and looked around briefly. When I made sure
there were no other students, I just walked around. I went straight to
our building and saw the Demolition Notice still on the tarpaulin
.
This can't be serious.
I really need to talk to Angelo before heading back to London.
This demolition can't go on.
I continued walking. I almost went straight to our room,
but luckily I remembered that I wasn't allowed to show up yet.
I went straight to the second floor. As usual, it was a bit windy in
this part, probably because of the tall trees. I looked around and
almost nothing had changed.
I thought about going to the picture room at the end. But first, I took
the key hanging on one of the broken benches scattered around the previous
room. No one was going up here so no one noticed what
I was leaving behind.
I got inside and switched on the light. I closed the door first and locked it
rom the inside. My body fell on its own and lay down on the sofa.
I feel exhausted.
I have so much to do. It's so much I don't know if
my body can handle it. I closed my eyes and fell asleep on my own.
I also woke up on my own because of my stomach ache. I picked up my phone and
looked at the time. It's almost lunch time. My stomach must be hurting
rom hunger. I got up and stretched.
I looked at my disposable phone. Angelo still hasn't texted me.
I think it's better if I pay him a visit.
I opened the door and was about to go out when I suddenly saw Jay-jay.
I was so shocked that I closed the door again.
Fvck!
My hand went cold while I was still holding the doorknob. I'm
sweating like a pig.
My heart almost jumped when someone moved the doorknob. It's her! It's
her!
Yes I do miss her but it's not the right to face her.
