Initiation


Keifer's POV


Their noise! What are these two doing? It's like Jay-jay left them
so they're free to fight and fight.
A child and a child's mind.
I took out my secret phone and texted Jay again but still no response
rom her. I've sent several messages but still nothing. She probably doesn't
have her phone.
She's the only girl I know who doesn't really
care about her phone. The others have their cellphones almost pressed to their skin
.
I heard my stomach growl. I wish I had eaten more of the
ood earlier at Sir Alvin's house. The problem is,
Ma'am Cindy's cooking isn't delicious. I just don't want to talk.
Maybe she'll point a gun at me.
Speaking of guns, maybe I should start learning how to use one. Yuri
knows how to and of course he has a license. I can't say yet but
sooner or later I might need to use it.
I stopped in my tracks when I noticed a sudden silence outside.
It seemed like no one was around so I quickly went to the door and opened it
to peek in.
I see no pokemonâ€"I mean human. I went out and made sure
the door was locked. I put the key back in its place and walked away
but just as I was approaching the stairs, someone I didn't expect approached me
.
Percy...
"What the..." He whispered. "I thought you're in London."
It was gone. I'm late, I just need to make sure
he's quiet.
"Just visiting." I said and looked around to check if someone is here aside
rom him. "Listen. No one must know that I'm here."
He suddenly smiled broadly. It seemed like I had caught what was
running through his mind. As always
"Pull me." He said while grinning like a lunatic.
I knew it.
I sighed heavily. "I'm no joking Percy."
"This is serious." He pouted his lips like a girl.
I felt a vein in my head twitch because of the annoyance at his appearance.
What did he eat again that made him act like this?
He must be lacking in vitamins again.
I took out my disposable phone from my other pocket. There's a
message from Angelo but I didn't open it. I faced
Percy again.
"I need to go. If you can just keep your mouth shut."
He had adjusted himself this time but there was still a
silly smile peeking out.
"What are you doing here?"
"I already told you, I'm just visiting around."
I walked down the stairs and he followed me.
It was lunch time, which meant there were a lot of students out and about. There would be a lot of people to
see
.
I adjusted the hood of my sweater hoodie. It was among the things
I had Honey pick up. I wore it earlier before going to
school. "Aren't you going to at least take a look at Jay-jay?" His question
had a teasing tone . "I saw her already." Even if it was just for a moment. "Ayyiieeehhh... I missedâ€"." I
immediately covered his mouth. With the intensity of his teasing, someone must have heard him. Especially
here in Section E's building. "Shut your mouth." I said calmly. He nodded slightly. I slowly let go of him but I
didn't take my eyes off him. If he did anything stupid, I would really punch him. Try me. His mouth opened to
speak so I immediately raised my fist. He noticed that and walked away. "Easy boy." He said while pointing at
my fist. I put it down and looked at him with a bad look. "I'm in a hurry." "Go away. Be grumpy." He replied with
a sneer. I turned my back on him and walked away. I saw Ci-N walking as slowly as a turtle going somewhere.
I just passed him and walked even faster. He was hunched over while meeting several groups of students. I
didn't even notice who they were. I reached the gate without anyone greeting or criticizing me. When I came
out of the gate, I looked at the guard. I lowered my hood to show who I was. He nodded and let me go. I
flagged down the first taxi I saw. "Just drive." I told the driver and he continued driving. I took out my secret
phone and texted Jay-jay to say goodbye. I knew he wouldn't notice that again but I still wanted to do it. I
ollowed and grabbed the disposable phone to read Angelo's text. From: Demon Message: I already talk to
them. Would you like to hear the update? I called him right away. I can't waste anymore time. I need to be a
member of his group. Having them as my allies is like having my own gold mine. ["Keifer."] He said upon
answering my call. "I want to hear it. Where can we talk?" ["Where are you?"] "Pinas." ["That fast? I expected
you to come back about..."] He paused as if he's thinking. ["...never?"] I chuckled. "That could happen." I smile
wickedly. "If I'm with Jay-jay." ["And that will never happen."] I felt his anger and the desire to smash my face.
["Let's meet at Kinground and I'll break your neck there."] He ended the call and makes me laugh. I immediately
told the driver the location. Not that long when we reached it. I immediately paid and got out. I stopped for a
moment when I saw the familiar cars. They weren't as many as before but I knew they were still there. I went
inside and briefly greeted the bouncers. I headed straight for Tiger's office. "He's here!" Someone announced.
"A round of applause for our new member!" It was Ervin Schnee. I looked at Angelo when I noticed his gaze on
me. He was holding a glass of alcohol. Tiger came up to me and put his arm around me. "Are you ready?" "
Ready for what?" "He's not ready for initiations." Angelo said as he poured alcohol in his glass. I turn to Ervin
who's grinning on me waiting for an explanation. He sips on his glass before putting it down. "Unfortunately,
we can't start the initiation because you're a minor." What?! "Then when? Do I have to wait for 21st birthday?" I
ask in disbelief. "18 years of age will do." It was Angelo. "Here in my country 18 is a legal age." Tiger removed
his arm from me and pushed me closer to one of the chairs. I couldn't take my eyes off Angelo and Ervin who
were sitting next to me. "Listen kid." Someone said and sat beside me. "You're almost 18 so you don't have to
worry." He was the Korean or Chinese guy with soft features. I nodded to him before turning back to Angelo.
"But maybe we can give him the requirements now." Ervin said. He waited for the others confirmation. I didn't
know that there was a requirement needed. Angelo put down his glass. He stood up and motioned for me to
ollow him. I did so and looked at his companions for a moment before finally leaving Tiger's office. He didn't
speak so I remained silent. He took me to the middle of his disco floor and stopped where the glass office
was visible. "Listen Keifer. In doing this you will have to sacrifice some things to get what you want." He starts.
" You are joining this not a joke. This is not an ordinary fraternity." "Just get to the point." He looks at me
deadly. "This is serious!" "I know. But I don't understand what you're trying to say." "When you join this group,
there is no turning back. There are rules that you can't break because life is the price." "I need this." I almost
sounds begging. He looked briefly at the glass office before getting dirty. He shook his head before
massaging his nape. "The requirements are very simple. First things first, make sure you have enough money
to pay for the annual fee." "I have a company and a bank of gold." I said but he ignored it and continued
explaining. "You must be legal ageâ€"which will happen in a few weeks. You must have a group of friends that
is possible to recruit in Low or High rankers." Maybe he already knows that I know about those High and Low
Rankers . "Make sure you'll be powerful." "Not a problem." "Education is a must. Make sure you'll finish
college." I sighed. Requirements are so basic. Even though he didn't say I would have those. "That was basic.
There aren't any heavy requirements." I could see the irritation in his eyes. "Learn to use guns and prepare
yourself to kill someone." He said in a serious tone. Kill someone. Can I? I'll take someone's life just for this
group. I don't know if I can. "I could explain a lot more but you said those are just basic to you." He walks away
but immediately turns back at me to say something. "You have a contract to sign. At the end there's an empty
line where you'll put the person who will receive the leftovers if something happens to you. Who will you write
down?" Will receive the leftovers. I can put my siblings in but they'll have the Watson's inherits in case
something happens to me. "You'll put Jay-jay?" He asked. I nodded. "That's probably true even though we're
not married yet." Usually relatives are put in that way. Angelo raised a brow at me. I smirked. "We'll get married
soon anyway. So, I see no difference." "Too much confidence Keifer, too much." He didn't have enough
confidence to stab me where I was standing. But he quickly returned to being serious. "The name you put
there is the one you sacrifice for the group." Horror embraces me. What does he mean? "Whatâ€"?" He cut me
off. "When you make a mistake or break the rules of the group, they'll take Jay-jay from you." "Then I will put
someone else." "Put your siblings name, your friends or any of your relatives. But you can't put random
names." Dammit. "Who did you put?" I'm expecting him to put his mother's name but of course, he's a smart
ass. "Someone that they can never take away from me." "Because she already ran away." I said and I saw pain
in his eyes. He shrugs it away and continues walking back to Tiger's office. "Make sure you follow what I said
or you'll loose her." He said without looking at me. I looked at Tiger's office. All of them are looking at us. Ervin
raises his glass while smiling. It is clear to me what he wants to convey. He wants me to follow what he said
so I won't loose Jay-jay. But it's more like he's using Jay to control me. My fist clenched with frustration. He's
up to something. He's planning something that I'm sure he'll use to get what he wants. I heard the ringing of
the disposable phone from my pocket. It was a message from the pilot of my private jet. He gave me the flight
schedule. In 3 hours we'll be travelling back to London. I also need to go back because Keigan might get
suspicious. I haven't received any messages from Honey yet so I wasn't worried but he must have some idea
playing around in his mind. I decided to leave because it might take me a few hours to travel. The jetport is
still far from the city. After leaving Kingsground I had to walk to find a ride. A taxi cab stops in front of me. I
told him my destination and let him drive. As I expected, the trip took me more than 2 hours . My fare was
high. I didn't have enough money left in my pocket so I just paid with my wrist watch. He could have bought
ten taxis with that. I saw the pilot holding a cup of coffee as he walked towards the jet plane. He stopped
when he saw me. "You're early." "Can we leave now?" I ask him before getting inside the plane. He followed me
and looked at his wrist watch. "I'll get the plane ready." Before sitting down, I checked to see if the flight
attendant was with us again . It was a good thing he wasn't. I might kill Mr. Moskovoski. I waited almost half
an hour before we took off. I decided to sleep first. Our flight was 8 hours and I had nothing to do during that
time. I don't know how long I've been sleeping when I woke up because of a phone call. It happened a few
times so I took both phones out of my pocket. It was coming from my secret phone. The call went away
before I could answer. Edrix has so many missed calls. I can't help but wonder at the number of missed calls
he has. My phone rang again and I immediately answered it. "Edrix." I said. ["Keifer..."] He sounded so
distressed. ["Tangina! "It took so long to answer the call!"] "What is it?" He cursed a few times. I didn't
understand and for some reason I didn't understand, I suddenly got nervous. "Edrix! What the hell is
happening?!" ["Ci-N and Jay-jay! Someone attacked them!"] Fvck! "Who? Is it one of the gangs that challenged
us?"
My fists are clenching. I was barely within arm's reach earlier but
I didn't even realize something was going to happen. This is my fault!
I shouldn't have left.
["No! Mykel's group!"] He said angrily. ["Pre... Go back!
Jay-jay is in a lot of trouble!"]
"I'm on my way." I said before ending the call.
I quickly went to the pilot in the cockpit. He was still surprised to see
me.
"Mr Watson." He said in shock.
"You have to turn this plain back." I said in command.
"We can't. We're almost on London." He pointed at his watch.
We've only been in London for two hours. But I have to
go back. Jay-jay needs me.
"Do what I said or I will jump out of this plain!" I said in anger.
He shook his head and turned off the autopilot.
"Go back to your seat." He said and I did.
I felt the plane turning.
Just wait for me and I'll make them pay. I will break them.
