My turn
Jay-jay's POV
Yuri didn't come in. I texted him again but I didn't get a response. "Let's go out later." Ci-N said while playing with her cellphone. I also wanted to go for a walk because Kuya strictly ordered me to go home immediately. They were worried that what happened yesterday might happen again. I shouldn't go in today because I have too many absences and that's not good especially since the exam is coming up. Too bad... "Jay-jay can't go for a walk yet." David said while writing something in my notebook. "Why?" Ci-N asked with a grin. "There's still an enemy, isn't Ram?" He reminded me. To be honest, I don't feel Ram anymore. I haven't heard from him and he doesn't send threats like the others. David closed his notes and my notebook before handing them back to me. "Okay. Study it." He added. Taray! "Thank you!" I said happily and he just nodded. I was planning to borrow notes from Yuri but he didn't come in. I was going to borrow Ci-N next but it turns out that Batang Kumag doesn't write, he already has everything he needs to remember in his fat brain. His brain is full of nonsense. That's why I ended up approaching David and because this Gulayat opponent is a good person, he's the one who wrote for me. His heart was truly overflowing even though he's always closed. I briefly glanced at my notebook that he had written in. I was happy to open it and greet it with a smile but it ended up in a grimace. I'm grateful for his effort to copy his notes into my notebook. That's why I wish he had made the writing more beautiful. David has his own alphabet. I admit that the ink of my ballpoint pen seems to have an enemy when I write but it's not like this, the writing looks like Arabic . Even if it's Arabic, this writing can't be read. "Oh, that letter is ugly." Ci-N commented who also happened to be peeking into my notebook. I immediately closed it and pushed the notebook away from him. I widened my eyes to threaten him and tell him to stop because I didn't want to offend David. But his IQ was absent again and he didn't even get what I wanted to say. "Why are your eyes so big?" he asked. I wanted to slap him with my hand to silence him completely. I didn't know what kind of signal to make him shut up. "Is my writing ugly?" David suddenly asked so I turned to him. I was about to answer 'no' because I really didn't want to upset him. Of course, I was also embarrassed. That's why he suddenly grabbed my notebook from me. "N-no, it's just messy but still readable." I said while watching the reaction. He seriously read his own letter. I thought he was annoyed by Ci-N's insults because he didn't move. But he suddenly bowed and furrowed his brow. "Sorry, this is my notebook." He said and took out MY notebook which he put in his bag. He handed it to me and I accepted it. I immediately opened my notebook and saw his messy writing but it was readable . Unlike before, even an Alien wouldn't read his writing. "Thank you." I said and hid the notebook in my bag. How could he read his notes? After all, they can read their own writing too. If they can't understand their own writing, well, I don't know. Maybe a ghost really wrote it, it was just a human hand. It's a good thing I understand my writing. I'll read my notes at home. I also need to prepare for the upcoming exam. I'll be miserable if I don't answer anything. I'll fail and if I fail, I won't graduate. If I don't graduate, it's the end of me. Kuya Angelo will end my life. Literally. I looked at Ci-N who was now looking up and gaping. I winced at his expression. I hope no flies get into his mouth . He's good, even though Batang Kumag looks so abnormal, he still has something to say. Even with his eyes closed, he can still say 100 or more. I frowned. I also want 100 even with his eyes closed. 100 pesos. "Ci-N." I called him. He turned to me without closing his mouth so his saliva kept dripping. Sala-ola den. "Eket?" He said without closing his mouth too much. "What's your secret? Why are you so smart?" I asked without paying attention to his appearance. He adjusted his seat and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. He looked at me in surprise while frowning. "I'm serious about my question." I conï¬rmed it to him. He scratched the back of his neck. "Your question is surprising." He smiled. "But I'll answer anyway." I adjusted my seat so I could get a little closer to him. Even though I wasn't sure if he was serious about what he was going to say or if he was just being silly, I would still listen. "Like this. Do you like music?" I nodded in response. "Choose a song that's very familiar to you in tone and then change the lyrics for our lesson." He explained. Silly. "I'll kick you out. You're talking nonsense." I threatened but he scratched his head violently. "I'm serious, Jay." He adjusted his seat. "Or like this, when you read the lesson or your notes, add the tone of the song. That way when you hear the same music again instead of the original lyricsâ€"." "You'll remember the lessons." Davidâ€"who was listening to usâ€"ï¬nished what Ci-N was saying. "I did that too. Quite effective for me but I'm not sure if it'll work for you." I nodded. That was the secret of Batang Kumag and David having a social instinct. I want to try it, then I'll choose a big song that will make me dance when I remember. Ayy Macarena. "I'll try. I'd rather go home in tears." And went home to meet death and Angelo his name. "Do you want help?" Ci asked but before I could answer he stood up as if looking for someone. "There! Blaster!" Blaster turned to us and walked closer. The other Ulopong who heard Batang Kumag's call followed him. They were all Blaster. "Do you need a short one?" He asked while ruffling Ci 's hair . This one quickly jumped up and almost punched him but Blaster got away. We laughed a little because they were teasing him. "He's hot." Denzel was still angry. "Tse!" Ci yelled at them. "Jay-jay needs help memorizing lectures. You're a composer, right?" I winced. When did Blaster become a composer? He did nothing but eat, rant, and ï¬ght. Complaining was a bonus. "Believe me." My comment caused him to snap at me. "You underestimate me too much. I'm not just a composer. I'm a composer of songs." He boasted. He coughed while rubbing his throat. Even other Ulopongs came to our place to watch what he was going to do. "That's phlegm, bro, get it out." Eren said, making us laugh. "You're making a scene. I'm going to make Jay-jay famous, no one likes me like this." He said and massaged his jaw. He looked at me and pointed. "This is one of the songs I composed. Watch for my popularity." I winced at him. He's really going to be famous, probably for his antics . I admit that Blaster is handsome too, if only no one owned his heart, his lifestyle would probably be like Eren's too. Loving. "Give me a beat." He said and Ci made sounds with his mouth but it ended in loud laughter. "Fix it!" Instead of listening, his laughter grew louder so that he almost got angry. "Where is it? I don't think it's there." I teased and the Ulopongs got on top of it. "Here it is!" He said annoyed and we fell silent again to ï¬x it. He ï¬nished again and started the boastful song. "A..B..C..D..Elementary..." Tangina! I said it. The stupid Ulopongs immediately laughed following the crisp, cheap song for him. "Highschool...College...You're not even circumcised..." He continued and it felt good to hit his face with the table. "My dream is to become a doctor so I can pull out a whiteâ€"." "You're a fool! You're just a fool!" Felix interrupted what he was singing. "That's not a fool. I've been thinking about it for a long time!" He defended himself and looked like he was ready to kick him. They fought over the song. Sometimes I really don't know if these guys' brains are in the right place . I wouldn't be surprised if their broken hearts suddenly came out of their skulls. Edrix quickly hit him. "Idiot! I've heard that, our kids sing it." "I probably heard it from me." He insisted while rubbing the back of his head. We looked at Ci-N who still couldn't stop laughing. It was as if Blaster had played a huge joke on him. David approached him and without holding back, he flicked his forehead. It was like a switch turned off his madness. "Oh no..." He complained, putting his hand on his forehead. "Your brain is running out of oil again. It's so slow. You're laughing so hard." David said and gave him another flick. Batang Kumag quickly dodged. "Why are you selling me ?" He snorted. "Ci has a crush on me, not like you." Blaster said while pointing at us one by one. "You two are both so good at being silly." Denzel said. "I have a lot of talent." Blaster boasted. " I can speak Spanish." "Maybe Español." I said and they laughed. "It's food again!" Rory's teasing was why I threatened to throw shoes at him. That's why I wore different socks again. "Spanish? You're being silly Blaster." Mayo said. Blaster laughed arrogantly. "I'll show you." He said and looked for victims. Drew had just entered the door drinking coke. Blaster approached him so he stopped. "Oh baâ€"." "What are you....a scoundrel." Blaster said and Drew's eyebrows immediately crossed . "Pay what you owe me." Debt? His fellow Ulopongs quickly approached to collect the loan as well. It was only then that it dawned on me that he actually owed a lot of money. I don't know if I should come and collect the loan. "I don't have any money yet!" Drew complained. "Do you have any to buy coke?" "It's a good thing you owe money, you have forever." "You're a fool! You go deaf when you're charged." "Is your amnesia cured? Pay me back." The idiots complained one by one. It's like I'm embarrassed to keep charging because he owes so many things. How can he pay me back, it seems like they've been in debt for longer than me. I can't demand it ï¬rst. What a pity. Why am I so kind? Why did I just lend this crap? I'm not rich, and it didn't even come from my own pocket because Kuya gave it to me as an allowance. It should be when the debt is paid. That's why it's debt. The problem with these borrowers is that it feels like a sin to charge them. They were helped when they were lent money, but it still eels wrong to charge them. You're not bothering me with that part. "Hey!" Felix shouted at me while pushing me. "The same way you think about Drew. Does he owe you anything?" I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to embarrass Drew, especially since he actually owes a lot of money and doesn't seem to be paying it back. "Yes, 5k." I said and he suddenly gasped."Seriously?" I nodded in conï¬rmation. His face quickly darkened . He looked like he was about to rush into a ï¬ght until he pointed his ï¬nger at Drew who was close to the throat of his fellow Ulopongs. "You're crazy, Drew!" Felix shouted angrily at him. His debt collectors quickly moved away, still outnumbered by the bumbay. They looked at each other before looking at Felix and watching the chaos. "What's your problem?" Drew asked angrily. "You're an idiot! You even owe Jay-jay! Five thousand more!" Felix said angrily. The Ulopongs immediately reacted as if this had been a big offense. The married couple's hooker was still the one who got the better of the married couple . "You're an idiot!" "You're not ashamed anymore!" They were about to slap Drew so I immediately stood up and came closer. I stepped in between and the debt collectorâ€"that's right, Drewâ€"hid behind me. "What? We can talk properly, right?" I said. "Nako! That guy doesn't know the word "proper"!" Denzel said angrily . "Jay, why did you lend me that much?" Edrix asked. "That brat doesn't know how to pay!" "You're so mean! I'll still pay Jay-jay!" Drew defended. "What about your debts to us?" Josh asked gently. " It's been 2 years since I owe you." Drew scratched his head. "P-take Jay-jay ï¬rst. That's bigger." "Tangina! You only owe me 20 pesos, you haven't paid it yet?" Rory asked annoyed. 20 pesos? My 5k was embarrassed. "My 50 pesos!" Eman said annoyed. " 150 pesos to me. That's for my date with Mica too." Calix reminded him. "Tangina, my 80 pesos!" Eren, who you thought was missing from him, is looking for 10 each. Ask your friends for 10! "What about mine?" Ci asked with a grin. "How much do you owe me?" I asked. "8 pesos. When I'm short of 8 pesos, I remember his debt. I'm really struggling." I was really embarrassed by the price of their debts. They only chased after 8 pesos? It's really difficult. They asked how I was doing with my 5k that I was planning to save for my college. Then I had a hard time saving again. "Only 300 pesos is the most we've ever borrowed." David said. I felt like crying. Why does it feel like it's my fault? Shouldn't I have just tortured him? Shouldn't I have just let him rot or get beaten up at KingsGround? I just wanted to help him, right? "What are you planning now?" Felix asked Drew. I slowly faced him. I almost collapsed in front of him just so he would pay me. I didn't hide my disappointment in him. Son of... You're a delicious pectus. "I-I'll pay you. In installments, if that's okay?" He told me. "As long as you pay me, it's okay." He bowed slightly and seemed to be thinking. Until he reached into his pocket and took my palm to hand over what he had gotten. "I'll start now." He said and I opened my palm to see what I had reached. The Snakes came over to also look at what was in my palm. 5 pesos. "That's every day, until the 5k is collected. Your list so we don't get confused." He said with a smile. Smoke almost came out of my nose. This Snake was already furious. How long after he paid me? Maybe we graduated from college, he still hadn't been paid. "You're really crazy!" I said annoyed and he quickly ran away. I immediately chased after him and the other Snakes did the same. I would only accept his lightning fall if he would let me kick him. We reached the stairs but he still didn't want to stop. "I'll pay you! When I'm free, I'll make it 10 pesos a day!" He said and I got even angrier. "You idiot!" I shouted. We had already left the building because of the hustle and bustle we were doing. The students we met were already watching us. "I don't have any money!" He added. "Is it my fault?! You're a fool!" We reached the cafeteria. But he quickly turned around when I stopped for a moment. He was about to return to the building when he met his fellow Ulopongs. "You idiot, Drew!" They shouted. I immediately chased after him. We had already passed the parking lot and when we were at the gate, suddenly there was a gunshot. One after another , I couldn't see the source because I was ducking to avoid it. The students were shouting loudly. I felt someone covering me. When I looked at David's worried face , I saw him. "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded slightly in response. But I wasn't really okay. I thought it was the end of me. My body was still shaking from shock and ear. We looked around and when we couldn't see anything, we straightened up. "JAY-JAY!" Someone shouted and when I looked, Aries was panting closer. He immediately hugged me. "What the hell is that? What happened? Did you get hit?" He moved away from me to check my body to see if I was hurt. I shook my head. "W-nothing. I'm okay." I looked around and covered my mouth when I saw the security guard lying on the floor. Bloody and unconscious. "Stay here." Aries said and approached the guard. "He's still alive. Call an ambulance." He ordered us. But I couldn't move. His blood was so spread that I couldn't look at him. When I looked away, Mayo appeared before me hugging Kit. No. Don't. "H-help... Help Kit." Mayo said crying. I couldn't even move. I couldn't even get closer. Kit's blood was spread on the ground and on Mayo's body. Why am I like this? Why can't I help? Why am I so useless?
