Goals

Jay-jay's POV

As time
goes by, it can't be denied that social media has been a great help. People know a lot because of this. They
are updated more than what is shown on TV. But sometimes it becomes too much. I believe that this is why
many brave young people today feel like they know everything because of the help of Social Media. What used
to be good is now becoming bad. So now, I'm thinking about deleting my messenger and Facebook. It won't
bring me anything good. It ruins my life, is bad for my health, and most of all, is bad for my heart. "Jay... Chew
it properly first." Yuri said and handed me a drink. "You won't be able to digest it." I ignored him and just
continued eating the fishball. Someone put a paper plate full of barbecue in front of me. I looked up for a
moment and saw David's raised eyebrows as he watched me. He adjusted the chair next to me and sat down.
I immediately noticed Yuri's change in aura. It was as if I suddenly felt heavy from him. I simply looked at him
who was currently looking at David in a bad way. I looked away but the other one didn't care. He just took the
barbecue and ate. "You couldn't handle it, right?" He asked after swallowing what he had eaten. I also took the
barbecue. "I don't care about him, right?" "That's why you dropped your cellphone." Eman suddenly interjected
and took the barbecue too. I dropped my cellphone, after chatting with the King of Snakes . Eman was walking
right in front of me and she was the one who picked it up for me earlier. I didn't say anything after that. I didn't
open my messenger either. And during the hours we had left to study for the subject, I kept thinking about
deleting that application from my cellphone. "It was just a fluke. It slipped out of my hand." I replied before
taking a sip. "Chew it first, Jay." Yuri reminded me. "What? I'm chewing it." My voice was tinged with irritation. I
took the drink she offered and quickly gulped it down. I felt the food slurping down my throat. It looked like I
hadn't chewed it properly. It hurt even more than the breakup. "Do you want another drink?" Yuri asked and I
quickly nodded. She disappeared for a moment to buy something and when she returned she had a pitcher
with her. "Where did that come from?" I asked in surprise. "For Manang..." At the same time, she pointed to the
woman selling the cooler. I didn't say anything and just handed her a drink. I felt a great sense of relief. That's
why I went back to eating. Felix arrived right away with a paper plate full of Kikiam and Fishball. Rory arrived
next with a paper plate full of calamari. "Money!" I said before poking around. "Greed." Mayo signaled us to
come closer. I looked at the mango and bagoong he was carrying. "That's my money." He pointed at what he
was holding. He was about to take it away from me but David's hand was quick to snatch what was in his
hand. "Hey!" He said annoyed but Kit quickly stopped him. "Just buy it again." He said and turned around in
rustration to go back to what he had bought. He each took the loquats with him. They had almost all of them
off the table. My eyes sparkled at the many choices. Even if I had Hepa. It was fine. "What do you think. Who
attacked us last time?" Eren suddenly asked so we fell silent and looked at him. "Who else? Of those who
threatened Jay's life, only one is left." Drew answered. "Ram." I said almost in a whisper. "It's like he's
impossible." Eren answered. " He knows that if he uses a gun, the authorities will be alarmed. He'll be caught
aster." His fellow Ulopongs quickly agreed. They were turning into cows again. "Unless, he has someone on
his back that is more powerful than the authority." David said so our gaze shifted to him but he turned to Rory.
"Maybe Rory knows something." Rory looked at him in surprise and pointed to himself. I didn't understand
what David wanted to convey and why he pointed to Rory. I knew that Rory, Edrix's assistant, was good at
finding information but he probably wouldn't be beyond the investigator's capabilities. "Nothing, sir." He
answered modestly. I saw David's simple smile before taking a drink of....that's mine! "Hey, you look so stiff
when you drink. You're not letting me know ." I said and he looked at me. "I didn't offer you barbecue but you
took it." He scolded me and I started getting teased again by his fellow Ulopongs. I just pouted. I was about to
go back to eating when I noticed someone. I looked at them one by one and that's when I realized that we
were missing. "Where is Ci-N?" The guys immediately turned around to look for Batang Kumag. I suddenly felt
nervous. Especially since we had just finished talking about the enemy. Maybe someone had kidnapped him!
"Look for him! Maybe what happened there!" I ordered and they quickly stood up to look into each shop. "Ci-N!
Where are you again?!" "Hey! You little guy! Get out!" I also looked around at other shops but I didn't see any
kids wearing uniforms like us "Ci-N!" I called out worriedly. "Hey, get out!" But no matter how many times we
called, Ci-N didn't come out. We had already returned to our place earlier but he was still not there. "Did you
see him?" I asked them. "They're not answering my calls either." David said and tried to call again using his
cellphone. Something was going through my mind. I was playing with the idea that someone might have
kidnapped him again. What if he might have suffered more severely than what he suffered in Mykel's group.
"This! This! This is what we're looking for!" Blaster shouted while pointing towards us. Ci looked at us
curiously as she walked closer. She was still holding an ice cream in both hands. "Why?" "Where did you come
rom?" There was a hint of concern in my voice. "I chased the ice cream vendor." She handed me one she was
holding. "I bought you one too." I slowly accepted the ice cream she was handing me. I wanted to scold her
because she worried me but what did she know about my thoughts. I just overreacted to her disappearance.
"Thank you." I said lifelessly. She smiled sweetly at me. "Pay me later. 20 pesos." I winced. "I thought it was
ree." "There's nothing free these days. Life is hard." You thought it was really hard. "We thought you'd gone
somewhere." David said. Ci looked at him and smiled mischievously. "Did you miss me?" David quickly got up
and his fellow Ulupongs gave him a loud tease . "I'm telling you!" "It's your fault, Kit!" "Is that contagious? I'm
going away!" I could only shake my head as they continued to tease the two of them. I just grabbed the ice
cream because it was starting to melt. I really thought something bad had happened to him. I couldn't help but
think that it would be better if we were together so we could keep an eye on each other. After the teasing, we
went back to what we were originally doing....eating. The teasing from the shameless ones was almost
endless . It ended up being a conversation about the exam and our waving grades . It's obvious who the
assholes are and unfortunately , I'm one of them. I'm getting fed up with this again. The conversation about
grades turned to our future college life. I can't help but feel sad. I don't know if we'll make it because of what's
threatening our lives. "Computer Engineering maybe." Edrix answered when asked about the course to take.
"But I'm not sure yet, maybe I'll change my mind." "Don't tell me you're going to follow Freâ€" Friend?" Rory said,
which surprised us. Edrix gave him a sharp look but he just laughed in response. The look they exchanged
was meaningful, just enough to add a fight. I knew they were always together so I wouldn't be surprised if he
knew something. It felt like I knew that friend. "Are you David?" I asked the one next to me who was busy
flicking Ci's forehead. He looked at me first. "Psychology. I want to be a psychiatrist." "Arrogant!" Eren
commented so I looked at him instead. "And you?" "I want to be a Gynecologist." He replied proudly but quickly
got a strong slap on the back of the head from Kit. Until the course, with the love. "Get ready." Kit said to him
annoyed. "You Jay?" Ci asked me. I bit my lower lip hard. I really couldn't think of anything yet. I have many
options but I don't know if I can handle them all. "I can't think of anything yet." "You're so clueless." Felix
answered quickly and the kids laughed. I threatened to throw a rock at him but he laughed at me even more.
It's not for nothing. I have something to worry about because I can see my future. I bet I'll be a teacher. That's
why I'll probably beat up my students. Plus, my parents and fellow teachers will complain about me. The
ending is getting fired from my job. Right? My future is clear. "Eman, obviously Culinary Arts." Denzel said.
"Maybe it'll change too." Eman said. " That course is too easy for me." "Wow. Great confidence comes with
great responsibility." Eren said with a snap of his fingers. "Just be arrogant." And it ended up being a tease.
Until the conversation turned to Ci-N. "What are you planning on doing with the plane?" Edrix asked him. "It's
still mine. I'm studying to be a pilot." He answered while trying to catch the fishball on the paperplate with a
stick. What plane? "I won't be surprised if Kei's gift goes to the next countryâ€" ." Denzel couldn't finish what he
was saying because of the nodding of those next to him. Even though they did that, what they said was still
clear to my ears . Keiâ€"well, gave Ci-N a gift. And if I guessed correctly, the gift he got was a plane. Airplane.
Flying. Big. Expensive."A-did you get a plane as a gift?" I asked in disbelief while pointing at the young man. He
nodded with a smile before scooping the sauce into the paper plate. "C-congrats. You'll be on board when you
have time." I said, already exhausted. I couldn't take it. Plane? Gift? What's that? Made of paper? Is he that
rich? It's like he's giving a toy as a gift. That plane probably only cost a few coins. I guess I shouldn't be so
cruel to him. He might suddenly buy a nuclear bomb and have me detonate it while walking down the street.
"Watch out for a gift for you on your birthday." Eren said and I could clearly see his fellow Ulopongs grimacing
as if he was doing something bad. "Don't even." "A gift, it's probably an entire eat all you can restaurant and
you'll be the only one eating by yourself." He said and laughed out loud. Ci-N joined him, looking like we didn't
get it that we weren't enjoying this one's joke. I felt like stabbing them with a stick. Why are they like this?
"Do you want to go to the mall?" Calix asked while holding the cellphone.
"Mica is there, she said her groupmates are done."
We quickly agreed and stood up. We left the two
still laughing at their own antics.
"Keep that safe! Be ashamed of yourself next time you eat!"
"We'll report you! You didn't return the pitcher!"
"You're not rich kids. Keep that safe."
The others said as they quickly walked away. The two immediately complained
but they did nothing when the vendors near where
we ate came to visit them.
Even though this place is called Hepa Avenue, the surroundings are clean.
Even the places we ate at can't just be left behind.
"Wait! Wait for us!" Ci shouted.
But instead of waiting, the shameless ones ran away.
I just felt Yuri's hand grab my wrist and
pull me hard. I was forced to run too
to leave the two behind.
"Catch me or else there'll be a bang!" Drew shouted so we ran even faster
.
"Believe me, you idiot!" Blaster retorted but no one paid him any attention.
"Listen to Blaster, there's a hole!" Felix shouted now so
our running was accompanied by laughter. "You're the one Felix!" Blaster shouted angrily but our laughter
only got louder . "The one in front of you, the one with the bag!" Ci joined in but David and Felix just raised their
middle fingers. "That really came from you!" Mayo said laughing. Ci's yelling was intense. I almost lost my
breath because of the speed of running and it was accompanied by laughter. So when we arrived at the Mall,
we each leaned, sat, and lay down while panting. People kept looking at us because we felt like we were at
home. Like Denzel, Blaster, and Drew who were lying in the middle where people were passing by. Security
immediately approached them and asked them to leave. "Sister! Your panties are pink!" Drew shouted at the
woman who passed in front of him before he got up. "You bastard!" The woman shouted back. Those who
heard laughed because she continued walking despite their shouting. Drew stood up while shaking her
clothes. "Because when they pass in front of me, they should have their cellphone number on their panties so
that's the first thing I see." "So you'll remember that right away." I said and almost glared at her. "Of course.
Just talk about numbers." She was bragging. "What about your debts to us?" I said sarcastically and she
quickly turned away. Look, she's really in a hurry. I just pouted but my attention was immediately caught by
Mica who was approaching us. She was walking and running while hugging her bag and two books. "Baby!"
Calix called while waving. "Baby!" Mica greeted her and hugged her boyfriend. You'd think they hadn't seen
each other for ten years. Calix quickly kissed her forehead before facing us and greeting us one by one. "Hi
Jay-jay!" She waved while smiling sweetly. "Hello, Mica." I greeted her back. After the greeting, the two talked
about where they were going. While we were looking around at the nearby eatery. "We're going to the
bookstore, are you coming with us?" Calix announced and it seemed like her fellow Ulopongs had a hard time
refusing or agreeing. They were obviously not interested in bookstores. What would they do there? They
wouldn't be able to eat the book. "Jay and I are." Yuri replied so I glared at her. She really chose me. Yuri
obviously wouldn't let me refuse so I just nodded sparingly. In the end, the others had no choice but to come
along. Aside from being separated from us, the others had already mentioned eating. Especially since Calix
said they would eat after coming back from the bookstore. We started off, led by the couple. I just winced at
how sweet they were. Calix was always so supportive that you would think that the person she was with was
pregnant and that the path she was walking on was rocky. Be very careful, you might stumble and get
bumped. Wake up to the truth, there is no forever! "Hey! Kit! Wait for me!" Mayo said so annoyed that I looked
at her. Here's another one! She turned to me right away and suddenly a silly smile appeared from her. "Here

jealous." Kit turned to me for a moment and smiled. She shook her head before holding hands with Mayo. Just
kidding! I heard a soft laugh and only then did I notice that the shameless ones were looking at me while
laughing at me. "Bitter, bitter." "Don't be so naive." "The intensity of the anger." My nostrils almost widened in
annoyance at them. I just winced because of the sheer annoyance. Until I looked at Ci-N who was staring at
Kit and Mayo. She hugged the person next to her. "David! I want that too, a relationship goal." David quickly
walked away as if he was too shocked by what the young kumag said . The Ulopongs who heard him laughed
loudly . "That's what I'm saying!" Eren said in a troubled voice. OA ah. "Give it up!" Felix said and laughed
loudly. "I'm not surprised." Josh commented while shaking his head. "Take it Barbie!" Blaster shouted while
pointing at the toy store. Their laughter became louder but Ci was still serious as she pressed David on that
relationship goal. "What are you?! What relationship goal are you talking about!" I said annoyed. "I want that
too." He tried to snort. "What kind of relationship are you in?!" "Grandpa!" He quickly answered and his fellow
Ulopongs laughed a little. David immediately scolded him. "What?!" "You always have a sore back. You're like
an old man. That's why you're the Grandfather and I'm the Grandson." He smiled broadly. "Relationship!" "My
back hurts because of all the burden and suffering you've been carrying." David complained to him. "But you're
old. Grandfather David!" We laughed weakly. "If you're not old, carry me. For goals." Ci-N didn't seem to know
what relationship goals were. She just imitated what Kit and Mayo were doing but her trip was different. David
scratched her head violently but instead of giving in to the Batang Kumag, she just turned her back. Ci quickly
took the opportunity and got on his back again. "Relationship goals!" She shouted and we laughed loudly . She
was still strangling David who was obviously struggling because of his weight. We were forced to push them
just to move forward which made Dabid even more miserable. "Fvck this! Get off me!" Instead of helping him,
we only annoyed them even more. We pushed them over and over again while shouting.... Relationship Goals.
