Jay-jay's POV

"Are you still mad at me?" The King of Cobras asked while handing over the ice bag
rom the clinic. I accepted it without moving and placed it on my knee. He really asked me. How was he ? "You
won't ask me?" David said as he held out his hand to him. Keifer gave him another ice bag in a gesture. David
laughed at that. I shook my head. It's a good thing he understands the King of Cobras' behavior. If I were him, I
would have returned the favor and I wouldn't stop until his skull is cracked. "Do you want to eat anything?" He
asked me again. I just shook my head and focused on my knee. My knee was turning purple. It doesn't look
like I fell well. I can even feel my nose starting to swell. "I'm Keifer. Still eating." The young kumag said. "If you
buy it for me, Jay-jay will eat it because he'll be jealous." He sighed. "Come with me. I'll buy it." The King looked
at me for a moment before leaving with Ci-N. That shameless one, Keifer was stunned.He believed I would eat
too. When he was out of my sight, I faced David. He was busy putting an ice bag on his face. "David." I called
and he turned around. "S-sorry. I should have listened to you." He smiled slightly. "I told you, it's a wrong
position." "I just wanted to go back to the room so I could rest and look at my knee." I sighed. "I forgot that
idiot was jealous." "Even if he wasn't jealous, it's still wrong." He said. "That's how a boyfriend would pick up
their girlfriend when they're making out." I was wrong. "So what am I going to do? I'm going to seduce her?" He
shook his head while smiling. "Who should be the one to seduce her?" "Not us." I almost whispered my
answer. "But your feelings are preserved. Even though you're not official, at least you know to each other that
you're for her and she's for you." "I'm not for her." "Yet you're transparent about what you feel for him." he said
and I bowed. "You're jealous, you get nervous when he gets close to you, you seem annoyed when he teases
you but you just smile and most of all, you waited for him during those times when he was in London."
W-what? Did I do that?
"W-I don't remember anything like that." I defended and he
laughed slightly.
"You're the only one who's indecisive. We're all here, you're late."
I widened my eyes at him. "What?"
"You're late. You're probably still mad at him but you can't be
bothered when there's only a hair's breadth between you."
"S-of course. Who wouldn't be nervous about that?"
He laughed at me again. "I just don't know how long
you can put up with him."
I winced. It's not that I tolerate him but because I'm not
that confident in his claims that he's changed, especially after what happened earlier.
I'm not looking for a perfect man but if
I end up with the wrong person, I'll just take a rock
to hit my head with.
Besides, the hurt he caused me is still fresh in my mind. So I can't
say I should forgive him.
I looked at the door when the King of Cobras entered followed
by Ci-N. They brought a lot of food but I knew most of it was
or the little guy.
"Here." Keifer said and lowered the bottle of juice, burger, hotdog,
siopao, fries and soimai in front of me.
It was only a little but it was fine. Just for a snack. It's a good thing
our teacher left early after Sir Alvin. He must have been fed up with the
trouble of these Snakes.
"S-thank you." I said and slowly ate.
Why was I so shy?
I heard David's soft laughter so I looked at him
evilly. He just turned away and continued working on the ice bag and
his face.
I continued eating while the plump King
of Snakes was in front of me. I stopped for a moment when Yuri approached while pulling out
a stool.
"Let me see your knees." he said before positioning himself in front of me.
He sat down on the stool he brought and placed my leg on his thigh.
I immediately looked up at Keifer when he folded his arms and looked
at Yuri evilly.
Yuri grabbed my knee and pulled it. I could move
it, not like before, but now the
bruises were showing.
"Can you walk?" he asked me and I nodded.
"But maybe not on the stairs."
"Just fall down from here." Ci suggested and
we looked at him.
Wow. Thanks for the suggestion.
"What she needs to do is walk, not die early."
Felix said, who also came over to us.
"I'll carry her." Hari's precinct.
"No. I'll just crawl." I said with a hint of annoyance.
Yuri laughed a little so I glared at him and
he stopped.
We were forced to stop talking when the next
teacher came in. They immediately returned to their seats but I whispered
to Yuri first.
"Can you buy me lunch later?"
She nodded while smiling. "Sure."
Class had started but my mind was on lunch for later.
I even picked up a piece of paper to list the things I planned to buy Yuri.
Besides lunch, I have another plan to buy her something.
I don't know how to persuade her but I hope this plan works.
Our class ended before I knew it and the
lunch I was waiting for arrived. The Cobras ran out like dogs
that had escaped from the pen.
Yuri came to me and I immediately handed her the paper and money for
the things I wanted to buy. She was about to return the money but I slapped
her hand.
"Ouch." She whispered. "You really are a barracuda."
"You're crazy." I replied and she laughed out loud.
At least it was fun to hear her laugh. Sometimes it was annoying
but it also made the worry I felt for her disappear.
I always prayed that nothing bad would happen to her.
She left in front of me and then the King came over.
"Anything you want?" he asked.
"I bought Yuri something."
She was about to talk to me but Eren pushed her away.
"Sorry, I was in a hurry." he said and talked to someone on
the cellphone he was holding. "Wait a minute Sarah Babe. I'm on my way."
Keifer just scratched his head before saying goodbye to me.
I just nodded and didn't say anything else. I was distracted by what I was going to do but I
really hoped this would work.
It wasn't long before Yuri returned with the things I had bought.
He picked up a stool and brought it over to my table to join me in eating.
He arranged the things I had bought except for a few pieces of chocolate bars.
While he was busy, I looked for something I could use.
I got some colorful paper from inside my bag. I used the wrapping paper and
tied both ends together like candy wrappers.
"Who is that for?" Yuri asked.
"Secret." I replied and smiled sweetly.
I suddenly remembered the clothes he left in our laundry yesterday.
Now that I thought about bringing them, they're dry and ready to wear.
I took his clothes and handed them to him. "You forgot
yesterday."
His eyes widened. "Oh, yes, by the way." He said and stood up.
He went to his bag and when he returned, he brought the clothes
I lent him last night as a replacement.
We exchanged hands.
"Thank you, huh? It's a good thing I came to you." he said and
returned to our food.
I was stunned for a moment and looked at him. "Yuri, what really
happened?"
He smiled at me and handed me the plastic spoon and fork. "Let's eat."
Husay dodged. I just let him go and started eating. While we were busy , the Ulopongs returned
one by one with their food. I was almost finished when Keifer came and put a slice of cake in front of me.
"Dessert." he said and returned to his place. I looked at the name of the store attached to the cake wrapper. It
looked like it could only be bought outside the school because it had a rich name. Yuri and I just looked at
each other before thinking about sharing it. The cake was delicious and it was obviously made with care
because of the softness of the bread. Too bad it was only one slice. Then I shared it. Yuri cleaned up our food.
I just stared at the chocolate I wrapped. Thinking about how I would give it to him. Maybe I could just throw it
at his face and say 'for you, idiot'. That's why he might get angry. I had just finished thinking when the teacher
arrived. Time passed quickly, I just realized the teachers were coming and going until it was time to go home. I
wanted to clap but I remembered that I couldn't go down the stairs because of my condition. "Go home!" the
Snakes shouted. "Finally. Go home." "Let's have a snack! It's free." I was busy organizing my things when the
King approached me. I looked up for a moment to look at him. "Ready?" he asked and I simply nodded. We
were almost the only two left in the room. I stood up before Keifer took a position in front of me. He bowed
slightly so that I could carry him behind him. I stumbled a few times because of the pain in my knee before I
could even adjust my position behind him. "You okay in there?" he asked before starting to walk. "I-I'm okay."
He walked and I noticed that he was able to do it. I became quiet while he couldn't take his concentration off
what he was doing. We were almost to the ground floor when I thought of handing over my wrapped
chocolate. "P-for you." I said almost in a whisper. He accepted it with one hand. He looked at it for a moment
before looking back at me. "Thank you but what is this for?" "That's it. You'll look at it later." I ordered and he
put it in his pocket. He continued walking. When we arrived at the ground floor, my brother greeted us with
raised eyebrows again. It seemed like he didn't read fate well. "What now?" He asked annoyed. I slowly got
down and approached Aries. He immediately saw how hard I was walking, accompanied by a grimace with
each step. "What happened?" "I tripped earlier and then fell over." I answered. "Who tripped you?" he asked
with emphasis. I chose to lie because the conversation might escalate and cause trouble in Section D.
Besides, I'll just get back at them when I've caught them again. "I-I mean tripped." He looked at Keifer as if to
reassure him but he seemed to get the point of me avoiding the real reason for my trip. He just looked away
and seemed to be unaware. "Just make sure." Aries said with a hint of threat. "Can you walk?" I nodded before
he started walking. I looked at Hari for a moment before following my brother. Ella followed him, raising her
eyebrows at me. "What happened to you?" "I tripped." I answered sparingly and he grinned like I was such an
idiot. I wish I had your teeth pulled out. When we got to the parking lot, we were stunned because Brother's car
was still missing. Aries immediately took out his phone and called someone but quickly hung up. "It's off." he
said and tried calling someone again but it didn't seem like anyone was answering. "What? We haven't had a
pick-up yet?" I asked. "Both Kuya and Mom's phones are off. Let's wait for now." he said and we did. It took us
a few hours but Kuya still didn't show up. Almost all the students and parked cars had already left. I looked at
Keifer who was leaning on his car and waiting too. He didn't leave until our pick-up arrived. But it didn't seem
like he could take it anymore. He came over to us. "I'll just take you." he suggested. I looked at Aries but he
clearly had no intention of agreeing. "Maybe Kuya is busy." I said. "We can take a taxi if â€"." "Unsafe." Aries and
Keifer said almost at the same time. I knew they were worried about the threat to my life. But it wasn't safe for
us to stay here either. Aries sighed and looked at Keifer's car. "I'm in the shotgun seat." I smiled. It's a good
thing Hari's car has 4 seats so we all fit. We approached his car and like Aries said, he sat next to the driver
after Ella let us in. I didn't want to be next to him. We were silent during the trip but Keifer's gaze couldn't
escape me from the rearview mirror. I felt a little uncomfortable when he winked. "Eyes on the road." Aries
whispered. Ella was the first one we dropped off. He thanked Keifer and kissed my sister on the cheek before
getting out. Okay. We arrived at the house in just a few moments. The one with fate didn't get out of the car so
I thanked him for us. "Where is my kiss?" He asked. "But can I see you behind your steering wheel?" I
threatened and he laughed out loud. I got out before I could curse at him unnecessarily. I might not be able to
get out of his car even more. He drove away after making sure we were inside the house. "Where's Kuya?"
Aries asked the housekeeper we met. "Your mom is with you. She said she was going to see Miss Jay-jay's
mom." she replied. "Why? Did something happen?" I asked and she shook her head. "She didn't say anything
but they were in a hurry." Aries and I just thanked her before she finally went back to what she was doing. My
siblings and I looked at each other. Mama. "Do you think there's a problem with Mama?" I asked with a hint of
concern . She just shrugged her shoulders in response. I couldn't help but think. Aunt Gema and Kuya wouldn't
be in such a hurry if there wasn't a problem. I walked to my room. While busy getting dressed, I heard my
cellphone ring. I finished what I was doing before answering the call. I winced slightly when I saw the name of
the Madman but I answered anyway. "Oh why?" I said. ["I love you."] He opened it and I almost dropped my
cellphone. "W-do you need anything?" I answered annoyed. ["I will accept your apology, just say you love me
too."] "What theâ€"." I was stunned when I remembered the wrapped chocolate I handed him earlier. I had
included a short apology letter. "W-are you broke? I already apologized for my mistake and now you're asking
or an I love you too." I heard him laugh as if he was having fun. ["You just said the magic word. I am accepting
your apology now."] He said it and I felt his wide smile. My forehead furrowed. I unintentionally said what he
was asking for. I was annoyed! Even though it wasn't sincere, I felt like I was being misunderstood. I was so
careless. ["Where are you? Let's share that chocolate you gave me."] I felt awkward even though he didn't see
me. "It's yours. That's why I gave it to you and you'll give it to me." ["What is mine is yours. That's why we'll
share. Are you in your room? I'll go to you."] He insisted. "Hey! Hey! What are you going to? Be quiet there!" I
stood up for a moment but quickly sat down on the bed because of the pain in my knee. ["You go to me. I'm
right outside your house."] Shutanginames! That's why he had the nerve to say he was going to me. The
lightning bolt was just outside. I thought he had left when my brother dropped us off earlier. ["Are you going to
me? Or am I going there?"] He can't be in my room. Even more so, my brother can't catch up with him in my
room. We'll both be in a flash. Maybe it wasn't my knee that hurt. So even though it was against my will, I
stood up and walked. I kept yelling. "Here it is! Here it is! I'm annoyed!" I stopped when I reached the stairs. I
only went back one step because of my knee pain. If going up was painful , going down was even more
painful. I could only think of one way, to slide down. I sat on a step and slid down. I even met one of the maids
who laughed at what I did. Are you happy there? When I got to the bottom, I almost cried from the pain in my
butt. Is hazing this painful? I walked and ran until I got outside the house but Keifer didn't come to me. I
checked my cellphone and saw that he was still on the line. "H-hello? Where are you?" ["Look to your left."] He
ordered and I did so. The car was in the distance with a honking sound. I almost cried as I walked closer to his
car. I got in as soon as I got there. "Here it is! The parade is far away!" "I didn't park in front of your house and
your brother might catch me." I pouted. Percy didn't park near the house either. That's probably why they
weren't worried about their car being late last night. He showed me the cheap chocolate bar I gave him. His
smile was still wide as he waved it in front of me. "Let's split it." And opened one of the hands. "Don't worry.
That's why I gave it to you, because it's only for you." "I told you, what is mine is yours. Even my inheritance." I
rowned. I accepted the island he gave me but if it's about inheritance, that's a different matter. That's too
much. "What are we? Married? We're not even dating yet." I said with a hint of annoyance. "Let's go. Let's be
official." He said and handed me the piece of chocolate bar. I just took it to keep him quiet. I knew he wouldn't
stop. "You look official. I haven't completely forgiven you yet." I replied and took a bite of the chocolate. I
noticed his smirk as he ate the one he was holding. "You must be so happy about that." He smiled at me. "I
resisted you before I gave it to you." I gasped. "You animal!" I said and he laughed out loud. "Profanity!" Before
he could move, I covered my mouth. His smile was wide as he approached me. I came here by mistake. "A
deal is a deal." He said, bringing his face closer to mine. I tried to turn my back to keep my face away from
him. "You're devouring me again!" He hugged me without me noticing. I tried to get away but his movements
were too fast. I just realized that I was already wrapped in his arms. Oh my... "Stop resisting." he said and I felt
his breath in my ear. "Get away!" I said in annoyance as I pushed myself away from him but I was stunned and
screamed when he pressed my knee. "ARAY! NO SUCH THING!" I was about to cry. I was having a hard time
moving because of my position and on top of that, I couldn't get away from this King of Vipers . It was like I
was trapped. I stopped moving in fear that he would touch my knee again. I looked at him annoyed and he
smiled at me. "I told you to stop. If you don't, I will make you." he said and I felt his hand on my knee. "You son
of a bitch." I answered him and he laughed loudly. "Don't touch my knee." "Which one? This one?" He asked
and squeezed my knee. I almost cursed loudly because of the pain. I just slapped the chocolate I was holding
in my mouth so I couldn't speak. Shut up! Wait for it to heal. "Answer." He ordered. "Oh, you were quick! That's
it!" I answered cheerfully. "Squeeze more! And I'll squeeze yours!" "What about mine? " " Yours. " "Which one?"
"Yours." "What's mine?" "That one. " " Which one?" " That one!" I poked his face. "Yours!" He laughed slightly.
"You don't want to squeeze my what?" I glared at him. "What what?" "My what. Squeeze this.". "Which one is
that?" "Will you squeeze it if I tell you?" I slapped him but he grabbed my hand. "What is that?" "Here." He
replied and snorted down. "What? What are you pointing at?" "Here." He laughed out loud. "This muscle of
mine." I laughed out loud too. I really wanted to curse him for his stupidity. But because of that profanity , it
was raining cheap things from me. "You're crazy." I said and finished the chocolate he was holding. He did the
same with his food. I sometimes laugh when we meet each other's eyes. But I was stunned when I noticed his
silence. One of his hands went up to remove the sticky chocolate from the corner of his lips. I laughed weakly
to relieve the tension I was feeling. "Jay, please be my official girlfriend." he said with a hint of begging. I
looked away. Not because I didn't want to. But there were too many things playing in my mind. I still had
doubts. I was still scared and I couldn't say that the pain he caused had healed yet. He forced my face forward
with his hand on my chin. "I love you and I know you feel the same." I felt his lips come closer to mine. The
kiss he gave was only superficial. "Please Jay." I shook my head. "I-I don't know." "Just say yes." I stared at his
ace which I guess I shouldn't have done. I felt like I was going to give in to his look. My fragility was starting
to set in. Hold on tight, man! My gaze was only interrupted when my cellphone rang. The name 'Horoscope'
appeared. It was as if he knew I wasn't home. "I have to go." I said and left his embrace . I was just about to
open the door when Keifer grabbed me by the arm. It was like he was begging me. I couldn't help but panic. So
just to get out of here, I gave the safest answer I knew. "I-I'll think about it."
