Tenant

Jay-Jay's POV

Dinner! Nice, lots of dishes were served.
Maybe because we had a lot of guests. Ma'am Cindy and Sir Alvin were also eating here. Of course, Batang
Kumag, David, Yuri and Keifer will not be missing. I have a lot of competition for food. "Hey, take it easy on
your food," Aries told me. "I'm going to run out," I whispered to him. He looked at Ci-N who was taking
spoonfuls one after another as if there was no one else at the dining table. My brother just shook his head. I
looked at Tita's place. They weren't at the table and didn't join us because he took care of Mama first. It was
embarrassing because I was supposed to be the one taking care of my Mom. "What are you planning?" Kuya
asked Sir who had our attention . "Move home again, we'll take care of your unit," he replied. They did move
into Kuya's unit the other day. They moved so fast. I don't know if they would have been there if Kuya had said
so. But why would they take care of Kuya's unit, it's that big ? And who would take care of them? Well, maybe
they're godchildren or creditors they're hiding. "How about you stay here?" Kuya asked and Aries, Keifer and
David choked us one after the other . My cousin seemed like an idiot. He must have forgotten that both Ma'am
and Sir were my teachers, so they found out that I wasn't studying hard. But why did these three choke?
"Kuya? Are you serious?" Aries asked. Kuya Angelo raised his eyebrows at him. "Whose house is this?" Aries
couldn't answer and just drank water to get rid of his choking. "Does that mean, Yuri will stay here too?" David
asked and the young man looked at him for a moment before picking up the chicken on his plate. "He had
nowhere to go," my cousin answered casually. "Then, I'll stay here too," said the King and Kuya suddenly
stabbed the chicken on his plate with his fork. "Then I'll visit here frequently," he said, taking back what he had
said. You're scared, aren't you? Maybe next time you'll be stabbed with a fork. We were all shocked. Even Ci's
mouth was watering because of the shock. It was also the first time I saw Sir so shocked that Ma'am Cindy
grabbed him. David too but he quickly recovered from drinking water. "Mama and Aunt Jeana are going back
to the province. They will stay there for a while, so they can stay here with us," Kuya explained to us. I was

asked the King of Snakes after he said goodbye to Kuya and Sir. "There was just a little trouble,"It's not that

worried. "When you get home, can you tell me how he's doing?" He touched my cheek and quickly kissed my

My ears suddenly felt hot. I was just now getting
more embarrassed.
"Oh, you slut, you embarrassed me."
His eyes widened as he laughed when he heard what
I said. I also just remembered . . . his flash of profanity.
He quickly turned to the gate before touching both of
my cheeks but I dodged.
"I don't want to, I'm embarrassed."
"You know the rules," he said and was about to touch me again but
I moved away.
"Your rules, you idiot."
"You're already twelve."
"Even if it's ten," I replied annoyed and took big steps
away from him.
I was surprised when he suddenly followed so I ran to the
other side of his car. He quickly caught up with me and hugged me.
He motioned for me to be quiet and look at our gate.
We looked together but there was no one.
What was he pointing at.
I felt his breath on my cheek so I backed away
until I was leaning against his car.
"Hey, get ready. When Kuya comes out, we'll be together."
"Who initiated it?" he asked teasingly.
I still didn't face him. I was serious when I said
Kuya might come out. That's why I was giving him a hint earlier,
but the idiot laughed at me.
"Seriouslyâ€"."
"You're late, you hairy one!" Ci suddenly burst in, making me scream loudly
. "What are you doing there?"
"You ruin their moment," David said with a smile.
It was as if he was teasing that they ruined our moment. He walked away from me
and took a deep breath while looking in another direction.
He waved his hand before facing us again.
What did you suddenly eat?
"I'm leaving, I might just hit someone," he said and
David laughed loudly as if he had won.
Keifer kissed me on the forehead before getting into his car.
We watched him leave and the young man waved at him.
"Wow, you're so flirty, there's no label," Ci said and
I flinched.
"How can you have a label? You're always busy!" I replied annoyed and
tried to hit him but he quickly hid behind
his grandfather.
"There! Grandpa! I'm going to get hurt!" he complained.
"Fvck off," David replied before facing me. "
We're leaving now, I still have to drop this kid off."
I smiled and nodded. They were about to approach the car they were in
but Ci suddenly stopped and seemed to be looking for something in his pocket.
"My cell phone?" he asked us as if we were the last ones
holding it.
This kid started moving again after he got distracted.
"Where did you last put it down?" I asked.
"In your room!"
I was about to walk back home but he stopped me. "Just me
," he said and quickly ran into the house.
I just let him go and faced David. He smiled at me before
fixing the strand of hair that was blocking my face.
"Why are you with Ci?" I asked her.
"I went to see her, because she called me and was crying. I wondered
what had happened," she answered and we both laughed.
Ci must have been so upset that she was forced to bring her
here with us.
She couldn't stand Batang Kumag either.
"What were you talking about earlier?" I asked even though I knew
the answer.
Like Keifer, I just wanted to know if she was going to tell
me.
"About Drew. The exam is tomorrow," she answered and
I nodded.
What she answered was true but she didn't say the part where
they sent her back to the shark loan she owed.
I didn't want to ask anymore, because I might get mad at her for knowing something. It
was just her social instinct.
"So, you and Keifer are getting serious now?" she asked, which
surprised me.
I laughed a little. "Of course. What kind of question
is that?"
"Where's the label?"
I got angry, which made her laugh out loud. "I'm just
kidding."
Trip was strong. He must have enjoyed our dinner.
"I don't know about you," I replied, sounding annoyed.
"As long as you are happy," he said and I looked at him when
I noticed the seriousness in his tone even though he was smiling. "But let me
know if Keifer hurts you again."
"Why? Are you going to hurt him?"
He shook his head. "I'll take you away from him."
I gave him a hard time. "You thought I was going to take you away."
"I have my own ways and Keifer knows that," he replied arrogantly
before laughing.
Is that like the King's line?
I just shook my head while laughing at him. He must have been thinking about something
. If Keifer were here, I'm sure
they would have already fought because of what he said. This guy is also a strong tease.
"What ways are those?"
"Do you want to try?" he asked and was about to approach me but
I kicked my foot in the air to stop him. "Okay, when you and Keifer are done,
we'll try."
"Idiot," I told him and he laughed again.
We looked at the gate when Ci came out holding a
tupperware. It looked like he had gotten a snack.
Sir Alvin, Ma'am Cindy and Kuya Angelo came out after him.
"Let's go," he said with a smile.
I tried to look at the contents of the tupperware but
he hugged me tightly as he approached David's car. He waved at me.
Why does the contents feel like meat? It's like fried chicken.
"Bye-bye Jay," he said.
David smiled at me before waving and getting into his car. "See
you tomorrow."
"See you when I see you," I replied.
I watched their car leave before returning home.
I didn't even notice Kuya leaving.
They were probably going to get Sir's things. I just didn't notice
Yuri was with them so he wouldn't go out the gate.
Where did that red hair go?
I went inside and Mama and Aunt Gema greeted me.
Mama was standing but she was still wrapped up and looking a little pale.
"It's already night, are you going out yet?" Mama asked me.
"I just dropped off my friends," I replied and looked at her from head
to toe. "Why are you up already? Are you feeling okay?"
She shook her head and coughed slightly. "Not yet, but I'll get ready
or the trip tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?"
"Didn't Angelo tell you yet?" Tita asked and then
returned to me what Kuya had said earlier at the dining table.
"When you went home to the province?" I confirmed and
Tita nodded.
"Why so suddenly?" I couldn't hide my worry. What if
Mama couldn't come back?
"We've been sent back there for a long time, but now
it's necessary."
"We'll be up early tomorrow, so that when I get there I can rest for a
long time," Mama added and adjusted her cloak.
I stared at him. I couldn't feel any fear. Maybe
what they were saying was true, it was just about my grandfather's property.
I just hoped they wouldn't come back here with bad
news.
I nodded slightly. "Just tell Grandma I miss her."
"Your Aunt Lara, aren't you going to tell her anything?" Aunt asked.
I shook my head. "Just don't tell her, she might scold me."
Mama and I laughed together. They walked to the kitchen so
I went to my room to hopefully rest. I was stunned when
I saw someone lying on my bed.
Red hair.
I approached her and peeked, she was fast asleep and breathing deeply.
I suddenly felt sorry for her.
She seemed very tired and had just found a comfortable bed.
That's why I didn't see her with Kuya and when we left the house.
She didn't come with me.
I decided to let her sleep. I just grabbed a
change of clothes and went straight to the bathroom to clean up and get ready. I didn't stay long either
. When I came out, he was still asleep and now he was snoring softly.
I wasn't sleepy yet so I reviewed first. Maybe
I'll save a lesson in my brain and use it tomorrow.
I just don't want to be hungry while taking the exam and all the hard work
I've worked hard to study might be erased.
My brain needs to be with me tomorrow. I'll eat a lot in the morning.
While reading the notes that Aries gave me, I heard
my phone ring. I looked at it and Hari's name popped up

Message: I'm home, Keigan is alright. He's asleep now due to
exhaustion.
That's it! That's how I like to update. I quickly replied
to him and said goodnight. I knew he was tired too so I didn't
chat anymore. I'll just tell him tomorrow that
Yuri is in my room. Maybe he'll suddenly come back here and slap
his best friend.
I was about to go back to reading my notes when I noticed
Yuri was awake and looking at me. He smiled and slowly got up.
"Sorry, I fell asleep in your bed," he said and fixed his hair before
putting on his glasses.
His hair was long, I just noticed it now.
"It's okay, you look so tired."
He smiled. "A bit, I'm having a hard time with our set up today."
"Be patient, you can also find a good place to move,"
He sat on the edge of the bed near my study table where I was
sitting.
"Do you need help?" he asked while pointing at my notes.
I shook my head. "It's okay, Aries helped me. I'm just rereading
it so it doesn't get out of my mind too quickly."
He stared at me for a moment and was about to touch my cheek but
I quickly moved away. He was obviously surprised by what I did.
I didn't mean to, my body moved away on its own.
"You have dirt on your cheek," he said and I wiped
my cheek.
His smile from earlier was gone. He was calm but it seemed like
he was thinking deeply. I couldn't help but feel nervous. I knew he wouldn't
do anything bad to me but I just couldn't help it.
"W-Why?"
"Why are you being so mean to me?" he asked.
It made me think. Am I really mean to him? I still greet
him, we still laugh, talk like before and most of
all hug him when we get the chance.
What's mean?
I pretended to laugh at him. "How mean?"
"Was it because of Keifer?" he asked seriously and
I became serious too. "Don't you want him to be jealous?"
"I'm not mean to me, huh? I should be the one to tell
you that. Until now, there are things you still haven't told us,"
I replied and he seemed embarrassed.
He combed his hair after taking a deep breath. I guess

He unfolded a folded piece of paper and presented it to me.

could not have said anything . "W-What are you saying?" I stammered. He didn't answer. He stared at me as if
he was saying that he wasn't playing games. Would I still deny it when he obviously knew so well? I only made
a fool of myself if I did. I swallowed hard. I was having a hard time moving but I had to act. I only had a
second, I immediately stood up and was about to run out of the room but Yuri was faster. He immediately
grabbed both of my arms before leaning me against the wall. I even heard my bench tip over from the study
table. I looked at him trembling. I wanted to scream but he might do something to me and the people in the
house might get hurt too. It's annoying! I shouldn't be thinking badly of him because he hasn't explained
anything yet but I can't help it. What's really going on with Yuri? Or should I say, who is he really?
