Chapter 2: Power Reborn

Chapter 2: Power Reborn

The sun hung low in the sky as Ye Tian made his way through the bustling city streets. The world around him was both familiar and strange. It had been five years since he last walked these roads as a helpless teenager, but now, everything had changed. He no longer needed to fear anyone—he was an immortal with the power of the heavens at his fingertips.

The world he had once known as a weak and insignificant pawn was now his to command. Yet, his mind remained focused on one goal—revenge. It would take time to rebuild his strength to the level he had once attained, but that didn't matter. He had all the time in the world.

With each step, memories of his past life flooded his mind. The betrayal, the humiliation, the moments where he had been crushed by those he trusted—especially Su Qingyue and her worthless lover, Xiang Wei. They had shattered him, but now… he would rebuild. Stronger, smarter, and far more ruthless.

But this time, he wouldn't just be a tool of revenge. He was going to live fully—something he had never done before. Power, wealth, and women—he would enjoy every part of this life. But there was one thing that remained unchanged: he would make them all pay for underestimating him.

---

The night came quickly, and Ye Tian found himself standing before a familiar place—The Su Family Estate. This grand mansion, with its golden gates and towering walls, was a reminder of everything he had once been and everything he had lost.

But now, standing at the gates, he saw only a target.

Su Qingyue would regret the way she had treated him. Her cold indifference, her disdain—it had all pushed him into the abyss of cultivation, and now he would repay her tenfold.

Ye Tian walked toward the estate, but this time, it wasn't to beg for her affection or humiliate himself before her family. He wasn't here to be the weak boy she had ignored. This time, he would take everything from her—her pride, her family, and her reputation. The tables had turned.

As he approached, he could hear the voices of the Su family's elite laughing and chatting inside. Their conversations floated on the breeze, oblivious to the storm that was about to hit.

Ye Tian raised his hand, his fingers gently touching the gates. A surge of energy flowed through him—a reminder of the endless power he had once wielded, and would soon wield again.

A crackling sound echoed through the gates as a barrier protecting the estate dissolved, like paper in the wind. His aura was enough to break through their most powerful defenses. He could hear gasps and murmurs from inside. The power he had cultivated over five centuries now roared to life, shaking the very foundations of the Su Family.

---

Inside the estate, Su Qingyue sat in her private study, reviewing documents and preparing for another meeting with her family's business partners. Despite her outwardly calm demeanor, there was a growing sense of unease that she couldn't shake.

She had seen Ye Tian earlier that day, but she had dismissed him quickly, confident that he was still the same weak, useless man from the past. But the moment she saw his eyes, she had sensed something… something different. Unsettling.

And now, as she stood from her desk and walked toward the balcony, her heart raced. She could feel the change in the air. A pressure she hadn't felt before—a pressure that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.

She stepped outside, her eyes scanning the vast estate grounds, and then she saw him. Ye Tian stood in the courtyard, his back to her, his dark eyes glowing with an intense power she had never seen in him before. The world around him seemed to bow, the atmosphere thick with the energy of someone who had transcended the ordinary.

"Ye Tian," Su Qingyue called out, her voice laced with disbelief and wariness. "What are you doing here?"

Ye Tian didn't turn to face her. He simply stood there, a figure of overwhelming power. "I'm here for what you owe me."

Su Qingyue's expression faltered for a moment before her arrogance returned. "What are you talking about? You've never been anything but a worthless fool. What could I possibly owe you?"

Ye Tian slowly turned around, a cold smile curling on his lips. "Oh, Qingyue, you've always been good at forgetting, haven't you? All those times you mocked me, belittled me… and that charming little boyfriend of yours—Xiang Wei—he was always so happy to join in."

A moment of silence hung in the air. Su Qingyue's eyes narrowed, her lips pressed into a thin line. "You're still pathetic. Do you really think that coming here and making threats will change anything?"

Ye Tian's smile widened, but there was no warmth in it—only cold, ruthless resolve. "I'm not here to threaten you. I'm here to take back what's mine. And that includes your pride, your family, and most importantly… your place in my life."

He took a step forward, his voice low and dangerous. "I'm no longer the weak fool you used to know. You'll soon learn that, just like everyone else who has ever crossed me."

---

Su Qingyue felt her heart race, but she quickly masked her fear with a façade of indifference. "You'll regret this," she spat, before turning away. But even as she walked off, she knew—something was different about Ye Tian. And that fact terrified her more than anything he could do.

---

Later that night, Ye Tian sat in his luxurious apartment, a high-rise overlooking the entire city. The glass walls offered a perfect view of the neon lights and the bustling streets below. But it was the stillness that enveloped him now—the feeling of finally being in control—that gave him peace.

He had made his mark tonight, letting Su Qingyue and her family feel the tremors of what was to come. This was just the beginning. Soon, they would understand who he had become.

But for now, Ye Tian allowed himself to relax, savoring the calm before the storm.
