Chapter 9: A Storm of Jealousy
The city skyline shimmered under the night sky, but inside the luxurious Blue Moon Bar, the atmosphere was tense.
Su Qingyue sat in a private booth, her fingers tightly gripping a crystal glass of red wine. Her expression, once full of arrogance, now carried something unfamiliar—frustration.
Ye Tian had humiliated her.
For years, he had been nothing but a useless husband—someone she mocked, ignored, and never once considered an equal.
But now?
Now he was different.
Now he was strong, confident, and utterly untouchable.
And worst of all—he had completely cast her aside.
That bastard!
Across from her, her closest friend, Zhao Yiyi, leaned in, smirking. "Still thinking about your ex-husband?"
Su Qingyue scoffed, masking her anger. "Don't be ridiculous. He's nothing to me."
Zhao Yiyi laughed. "Oh really? Then why do you look so pissed every time you see him with another woman?"
Su Qingyue's grip on her glass tightened. "I don't care about him! But he was supposed to be a joke. Now, all of a sudden, he's walking around with Li Xue, of all people?"
Zhao Yiyi grinned. "That's what happens when you throw away something before realizing its value."
Su Qingyue glared at her. "Shut up."
But deep down, she knew Zhao Yiyi was right.
She had lost control of Ye Tian.
And she hated it.
I need to put him back in his place.
She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
"It's me. I need you to dig up everything on Ye Tian. His money, his power, his backers—find out who the hell he's working with!"
If she couldn't control him anymore...
She would destroy him.

Meanwhile – Ye Tian's Next Move
Inside a lavish penthouse, Ye Tian stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, gazing at the city below.
The soft rustling of silk reached his ears as Li Xue stepped behind him, holding a glass of fine whiskey.
"You've been quiet," she said, handing him the drink. "Thinking about something?"
Ye Tian took a slow sip, the ice clinking against the glass. "Just considering my next move."
Li Xue smirked, settling onto the couch. "Against the Qin Family?"
Ye Tian's eyes flashed coldly. "Them... and a few others."
He had no intention of just crushing the Qin Family.
There were plenty of people in this world who had wronged him in his past life.
And in this life...
None of them would escape.
Li Xue studied him, an intrigued smile on her lips. "You're an interesting man, Ye Tian. Most people chase power for wealth or status. But you..."
She leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. "You crave something else, don't you?"
Ye Tian smirked. "I crave freedom. And revenge."
Li Xue chuckled. "I like that answer."
She reached for a remote, clicking a button.
A hidden screen lowered from the ceiling, displaying a list of names and photos.
"Your enemies. My enemies. Let's burn them all."
Ye Tian glanced at the list. Some names were familiar. Some weren't.
But it didn't matter.
They would all fall.
He set his drink down and turned to Li Xue. "Then let's begin."
And as their alliance solidified, the true storm was about to begin.
