I threw the diary forcefully onto Caelan.
"Caelan, stop pretending. We're done."
Caelan's face turned ashen as he trembled, picking up the diary. He muttered, "You've read it?"
"Yes," I stared at him steadily, then pulled out an intact divorce agreement from my bag, along with my half of the wedding ring.
I said coldly, "Your story with Nolan is touching. Here, take this 'Forever Promise' ring. It suits you two better."
Caelan's eyes were bloodshot. "No... no... Let me explain, Indra..."
I dodged his hand. "If you don't leave now, I'm calling the cops."
Neve helped me kick Caelan out of the house.
I didn't want to trouble her, but she hugged me, comforting me softly, telling me not to be sad.
She was right. There are so many things more beautiful than love. I shouldn't have been so fixated on it.
That night, Caelan stood outside the window downstairs for the entire night. He was waiting for me to soften and open the window.
