First's Day

Billy tidied himself up, put on his suit, and came downstairs, looking sharp and ready for the day. Downstairs, the dining table was filled with people: servant-maids, managers, Liam (his father's assistant and secretary), his gorgeous mother, his older sister, and his older brother. They were all seated, having dinner together.

Billy greeted his parents and siblings with a happy face.

Billy: Good morning, everyone!

His father, Omio Roy, looked at him with a slightly angry expression.

Omio Roy: So, at last, you've decided to come down.

Billy replied confidently, though a little defensively.

Billy: Yes, I have. Don't I know that today is an important day for me?

His mother, Ami Roy, chimed in with a calm but firm tone.

Ami Roy: Yes, it is an important day for you. From today onward, you'll be joining the company to help your older siblings. You have to earn your place and prove your worth in this household. No more slacking off. You must take responsibility for your actions.

Ron Roy, Billy's older brother, suddenly burst out laughing and shouted mockingly.

Ron Roy: Responsibility? Him? Impossible! He can't even decide between work and women. He's truly a lecherous person without any sense of direction.

Billy clenched his fists but forced a lousy smile, directing his words at Ron.

Billy Roy: I may be unworthy in your eyes, but at least I'm not some greedy scum who meddles with the company's funds for personal gain.

Ron's face turned red with anger. He turned to his parents, pointing at Billy.

Ron Roy: Did you hear that, Dad? Mom? He called me greedy scum! You need to do something before he causes trouble for me in this company! Sis, say something!

Rin Roy, their older sister, had been silent until now. She raised her hand slightly, and the room fell silent. Her presence was commanding, and even Ron flinched.

Rin Roy: I don't want to meddle in your quarrels, but Ron, judge yourself before you speak.

Ron shut his mouth, though he continued to mumble under his breath. The tension in the room was thick, but Billy didn't wait around. He excused himself and headed out.

Billy stepped into his uniquely designed car, a sleek Roll Royals. As the car drove off, he leaned back and sighed.

Billy (inner thought): At last, I'm stepping into the company. I don't know what fate has in store for me, but there's no turning back now. First, I need to see my office… and my secretary. I hope Dad assigned me a beautiful woman.

When Billy arrived at the company, he was greeted with respect and formality. Employees bowed as he walked through the halls. He finally reached his office, eager to meet his secretary. But as he opened the door, his excitement turned to shock. Instead of a beautiful woman, he was greeted by a group of muscular men in suits.

The men stood at attention and shouted in unison.

Muscular Men: Mr. Billy, we're here to support you in every way! You don't have to worry about a thing!

Billy's face fell, and he groaned inwardly.

Billy (inner thought): Seriously, Dad? Only men? Do I look gay to you?

Soon, managers and employees flooded into his office, welcoming him with flower bouquets and applause. He was introduced as the new Executive Director of Design. The managers began explaining his responsibilities and the details of his role. Billy listened, but he couldn't help feeling overwhelmed.

As the managers droned on, Billy sighed and muttered under his breath.

Billy: Really, this is such a pain in the— I can't believe I'm stuck with this.

Billy tried to cope with the work, but suddenly, Mr. William Smith entered the room. William was a crude and manipulative man, the owner of Smith Industries, a rival company to the Roy family. He was known as an enemy of the Roys, willing to do anything to achieve his goals.

William: So, Roy's youngest son has joined the company. You know, there's always Uncle Smith to help you out.

Billy forced a polite smile, though his tone was firm.

Billy: Nice to meet you, Mr. William. Thanks for your consideration, but I don't need your help to work. There are many others in the world I can seek help from.

William smirked, his eyes narrowing.

William: Trying hard to fit in, I see. But mark my words, Billy. When the power struggle comes, your siblings and those close to you will be the first to abandon you.

With that, William left the room. Billy clenched his fists, his anger boiling over.

Billy (inner thought): That bastard! Who does he think he is? If I tell my oldest sister, he's going to learn what hell feels like.

Billy stormed into Rin's chamber, his frustration evident.

Billy: Big Sis! Do you know who came today? He tried to pity me with his words!

Rin looked up from her desk, her tone sharp and commanding.

Rin Roy: Who? And why are you shouting? Do you even know whose chamber you've barged into?

Billy flinched but continued.

Billy: William came and threatened me. How the hell did that bastard get into our company without a proper appointment? What are our security and staff doing?

Rin sighed, her patience wearing thin.

Rin Roy: Firstly, he came with a proper appointment. Second, he came to talk to me about a deal. And third, are you a baby or something? Shouting and nagging your sister because you couldn't win an argument?

Billy looked down, his frustration evident.

Billy: I know I'm good for nothing, but seriously, how can he talk to me that way? Who does he think he is? I know he's on par with us, but he can't—

Rin cut him off, her voice rising.

Rin Roy: Shut up and get out, or you're going to face hell! I know this is your first day, so I'm trying to be as nice as possible. Don't push your luck.

Billy hesitated but eventually left the room, his mind racing.

Billy (inner thought): This is just the beginning. I need to prove myself, no matter what it takes.
