Chapter 3 Billy’s Office Struggles

Billy entered his chamber, trying to adjust himself to the workload. He focused on designing a new project, hoping to make a meaningful contribution to the company.

Just then, Ron barged in with a smirk.

Ron: "You seriously don't know how to handle yourself. First, you run to your sister's chamber and complain? Grow up."

Billy: "I don't need your words of wisdom."

Ron: "Right. Why would you need wisdom? You're just a fool who refuses to change."

Billy: "Look, I don't have time for your nonsense right now. But first, William needs to know his place."

Ron's expression shifted to shock.

Ron: "William? Are you serious? What happened? Did he do something?"

Billy sighed and recounted the incident.

Ron: "So that's what happened... But why didn't Rin defend you? And why is she doing business with him? Doesn't she realize he's a threat to our company? There are even cases about how he tried to kill our father by staging that 'accident.'"

Billy: "That's right. He's nothing but a scum."

Ron: "Wait… is Rin trying to abandon us? Is she forming an alliance with William just so she can take control of the Roy fortune?"

Billy: "That's a possibility, but we can't just jump to conclusions without proof."

Ron: "True. But you need to stay alert. You have to serve me— I mean, you have to properly serve Roy Expo with your whole heart."

Billy sighed, slightly annoyed.

Billy: "Yes, yes. Why not? It's my pleasure to work for the company that I am destined to inherit."

Ron gave a smug smile.

Ron: "That's the spirit, brother. We have to prosper—for Roy."

With that, Ron left, leaving Billy deep in thought.

The Production Floor

Needing a break from the office politics, Billy decided to visit the production sector. As he walked through the factory, he observed workers meticulously cutting and refining gold. He noticed tiny golden particles forming dust layers as they were being processed.

Curious, he approached one of the workers.

Billy: "What are you working on?"

The worker flinched before responding.

Worker: "Sir, we're cutting gold to get a perfect shape and refining it into elemental gold and silver. These metals are soluble in mercury, so when they come into contact with fresh mercury surfaces, they form an alloy called amalgam. This process helps us recover and concentrate fine gold or silver particles."

Billy nodded, impressed.

The worker continued, "Although amalgamation is widely used, it comes with serious risks, like mercury poisoning. That's why we use carefully designed equipment to prevent contamination."

Billy smirked. "You really know your stuff. What's your name?"

Worker: "I'm Ryan, sir. I've been working here for eight years."

Billy raised an eyebrow.

Billy: "Eight years? That's a long time. Why are you still just a worker? Why haven't you been promoted?"

Ryan: "Sir, I'm still learning."

Billy scoffed. "Still learning? After eight years? That's a long time to be just learning, don't you think?"

Ryan smiled. "Learning never really stops, sir. Every day brings something new."

Billy crossed his arms. "I get that. But don't you want to move up? Get a better position?"

Ryan: "Of course, sir. But growth isn't just about titles. It's about mastering my craft."

Billy studied him for a moment before nodding. "That's an interesting perspective. But maybe it's time you show them what you've learned."

With that, Billy left the factory, heading toward his car, where his elite bodyguards awaited.

Back Home: A Surprise Visitor

After a long day, Billy returned to his mansion. He took a refreshing shower before heading downstairs to greet his parents.

To his surprise, his aunt, Grace, was there. She rushed toward him, embracing him tightly.

Grace: "My little angel! You've grown into such a fine young man. I'm so proud of you!"

Billy smiled. "It's good to see you, Aunt Grace. How have you been?"

Grace: "I'm doing well, my child. I've missed you."

Just then, Ron walked in and frowned at the scene.

Ron: "Hi, Aunt Grace… But, uh, why are you here?"

Before she could answer, their mother, Ami Roy, entered the room.

Ami Roy: "Grace will be staying with us for a couple of days. Make sure you treat her with respect."

Ron rolled his eyes.

Ron: "A couple of days? Hmph… just as long as it doesn't turn into months or years—like last time."

His voice carried a hint of irritation, but Ami Roy ignored it. Meanwhile, Billy simply watched the tension unfold, knowing that this was just the beginning of another family power struggle.
