Under Amiya's guidance, Kanna arrived at the final target range.
"Kanna-chan, the last test is to evaluate your mastery of Originium arts. Of course, if you don't have any or aren't sure about your Originium abilities, you can cross your hands over your head and try to break the target or cast a spell without touching it. We'll assess the most suitable position for you based on how you perform."
Kanna nodded in understanding and then walked to a position about ten meters in front of the target.
Just earlier, she had noticed that the previously uncompleted task of joining an organization or country was now marked as completed.
She casually claimed the reward, and after reviewing the new skill that had entered her mind, Kanna's eyes lit up.
Starfall Reset: Summon a Thunder Wedge and throw it toward the target area. Upon impact, the Thunder Wedge deals lightning damage to enemies within five meters and leaves a Thunder Wedge mark at the location. As long as the mark exists, Kanna can swap places with any mark at any time, without limit. Throwing another Thunder Wedge toward an existing mark triggers a thunderstorm in a 20-meter radius, dealing massive lightning damage. Each mark lasts for up to one hour and no more than three marks can exist simultaneously. The distance between the Thunder Wedge and Kanna's body cannot exceed 5,000 meters.
This skill was very familiar to Kanna; it was because of her mastery of such techniques that she was able to keep herself going in the wider world. The fact that the "Beef Offal Master" could mix it up like this was proof of her expertise, and now this skill was essentially an upgraded version of a similar ability from her game.
Though it couldn't match the instantaneous speed of teleportation like the Flying Thunder God, having three marks and the ability to swap positions at will was enough to diversify her combat style significantly.
Arriving in front of the target, Kanna raised her arm and waved. Then, she grabbed the Thunder Wedge in her hand.
The observers outside widened their eyes, eager to see just how terrifying this creature's Originium abilities would be, after everything else they had already witnessed.
After quickly scanning the area, Kanna threw the Thunder Wedge toward a point five meters behind the target.
Did she miss?
Seeing the Thunder Wedge land far from the target, confusion spread among the onlookers.
"Don't be too quick to judge. From what I see, even if Kanna isn't skilled in throwing, she wouldn't be able to miss the target by such a large margin with her Originium abilities. There's definitely something else going on," Amiya said, unable to stop herself from exclaiming in surprise. After some thought, Kal'tsit added, "Indeed, just like I thought."
And as expected, after the Thunder Wedge landed, several lightning bolts erupted from it, enveloping a five-meter radius in a flash.
Kanna then threw two more Thunder Wedges, one to each side. The three Thunder Wedges surrounded the target area.
Next, Palm Thunder!
Kanna pushed both hands forward, and bolts of lightning extended from her palms toward the target.
"Strange, this technique doesn't seem to be closely related to the previous one she used?" As elite operators, the others tended to develop their Originium arts in ways that were related or complementary to their other abilities. Seeing Kanna use two completely unrelated techniques was a bit unsettling.
At that moment, Kanna suddenly vanished from her spot, only to reappear at one of the previously placed Thunder Wedges, her Palm Thunder still relentlessly attacking the target.
And the spot where she had been standing before was now the place where the Thunder Wedge had been swapped with.
