CHAPTER II-VEIL GUILD

The students were confused, as they didn't recognize the four people. The representatives of the three guilds shifted their gaze, looking at the four with suspicion.

Eunkyung tries to appraise the four but he couldn't see what's on their status window except of the Guild Name

"So, they're the representatives of Veil Guild" *smirk. Eunkyung

"Veil Guild?"

"Wait? Veil Guild? The fallen guild?"

*mur mur mur*

"Why are they here?"

"I heard the rumors about them. They're the weakest awakeners in Korea, right?"

"But what are they doing here?"

"They also a bad reputation right?"

The students hadn't expected that after all these years, the rumored fallen guild would suddenly send representatives. They thought the Veil Guild had no hope left.

The Veil Representatives ignored both the students and the representatives of the other guilds and they continued walking away without a word.

"Damn, i wanna go back" Jia said the girl with the neon green hair

"Where the hell those two?" Aeris the light blue haired guy

"I think they're still training" Jia

"Haha sucks, i guess there won't be any training for now. Damn that geezer, i can finally skip his training" Aeris

The four continued walking, ignoring the students who couldn't tear their eyes away from them. Even after the four representatives walked away, the students couldn't stop whispering among themselves.

"Damn, do they think we can't hear them?" Aeris said, covering his two ears, and they immediately headed for the Hall.

"Wow. Look at their attitude"

"They act like they're someone special, leaving like that with that attitude."

"Chill guys. They're the bottom guild, right? Maybe they're just not used to it yet since this is their first time attending the Awakened Academy." Jeonghoon said while trying to calm the other students.

"Maybe they lack manners since they're in the bottom rank, right?" Eunkyung said then he laughed.

The students laughed at what the two said. Even though they were laughing, the representatives couldn't help but stare at them with a lingering gaze. 

'So they were the ones Vice Guild Master was talking about.' Eunkyung suddenly remembered what he had been told.

"The opening ceremony will starts in 30 minutes, let's hurry and go to the hall" Heeyoung said in a calm voice and started to walk

The other representatives and students followed and headed towards the hall where the opening ceremony would be held.

The representatives entered first, and their eyes immediately darted towards the Veil Guild's designated spot, where they were already positioned.

Each representative had their own assigned spot.

*GLOOM. The representatives' faces were unreadable because the Veil Guild hadn't even bothered to look their way as they entered.

< AERIS'S POV>

Even as we sat down, the representatives of the three guilds and the students couldn't stop staring at us. 

"Look at their gazes haha" Jia said while busy in her phone

Even without turning around, the Veil representatives could feel the intense stares of the others, making them feel unwelcome.

"Why did I even lose that game? Those damn stick" i said with a irrritating voice

"Look at Zyden, he's still in shock, haha." Jia and we both laugh while looking at Zyden.

Even though his eyes were covered in cloth mask, we know that he's still in shock. He's still not moving. While, Zaenne is still sound asleep on her floating cloud. If you gonna ask why we end up here? Well.

Everyone is so busy with their own world. We're so tired from the training when a message pop up in our status window.

"Is this a new mission?" I said then i open the message

"This can't be real right?" Seb said, suddenly getting up. My jaw dropped when i saw the message.

*BAM BAM BAM*

The loud thudding of footsteps coming down the stairs was clear. It seemed like others had received the message as well.

Shiho and Rui arrived, panting heavily, from the training room, with evident confusion on their faces.

Everyone is so shock so they gathered all in the living room except Zaenne, Bora and Harvey who went to realm to train.

"HEY WHAT THE HELL WRONG IN THIS MESSAGE" Hyunwoo shouted with a confuse face while eating a banana 

"Are they nuts?" Eunha asked with a furrowed brow.

[10 days before the Awakened Academy opening. Every guild is allowed to send a member as their representatives. 8 is the minimum And you're invited. ITS MANDATORY,ALL GUILDS, VEIL IS NOT A EXEMPTION

We still can't believe it. It was so sudden. It's been 5 years since the dungeon break happened. We formed the Veil Guild as a temporary group after that, and that's where our training with the Gods started. Director Lee and President Kang managed the Guild while we're so busy with the training and rarely left the realm then they suddenly came up with the idea to build an Academy for Awakened individuals and an Hunter Association, thanks to their own abilities and knowledge. After that, the guild members decided to leave the Veil and establish their own guilds. That's when the Veil Guild began its downfall, and countless rumors spread on social media.

Since there are countless rumors circulating around in social media and we're so busy with the training so we don't have time to attend in the academy. And because we only leave the realm occasionally, many don't know we are also part of the Veil Guild. It wasn't even in our plans to join the academy. We thought it would be a waste of time. But in everyone else's mind, since the Veil was in downfall, they considered us trash and we're the weakest awakeners.

But it's just a rumor and they wrong. The reason why we didn't plan to attend the academy because we were worried that if we couldn't control our abilities, the Awakened Academy would disappear in a flash. But thanks to the mana controling ring, we managed to control our abilities.

"It's mandatory and we dont have a reason to decline since the director is the one who sent the message" Shiho said and then she sat down on the floor.

"So? What are we gonna do now?" Jia ask while looking at us

Everyone went silent for a moment, contemplating what to do next.

"How about we play our usual stick game?" Xuan suggested with a wide smile. We looked each other and nodded.

"Sure let's do that" everyone agrees with Xuan's idea

"But how about those three?" Minjun ask while pointing the portal of the realm.

"I already ask Loujen to bring them here" Zydane said then the portal opened, and the three of them stepped out.

"We already saw the message. That punk, did he really want to die?" Harvey said then he sat down in the couch. You could see their exhaustion through the beads of sweat on their foreheads.

{You guys play the stick game, Lee Siwoo message me that I should be part of our guild's representatives.} Zaenne said

Zaenne can't talk since she's too lazy, so she always talk to us with her window status. She went to the kitchen and started looking for food.

"Sucks for you Zae haha" i said but

*DU-DUN

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA SUCKS FOR YOU TOO AERIS HAHAHAHAHA" Rui laughed hysterically , holding his stomach as if he were going to die from laughter.

"He was laughing at Zae a second ago, now look at him with a red paint stick HAHAHAHAHAHA" Bora

I was dejected, clutching the stick I drew which had red paint on it.

*Damn, why me?*

The other's can't stop laughing like they're gonna die because of me. Well, maybe it's good for me so that i can skip the practice hehe. *I smirked, pleased with my thought.

< BACK TO PRESENT >

That's the reason why we're here, but Zy is still in shock since he never expected to be chosen as a representative. Zy wasn't really fond of socializing and he disliked crowdy places. Zy is the second laziest person in our group, Well because Zae and Zy are twins, that they share the same blood? Haha.

Well, it doesn't matter to me anyway since i can skip the practice. But now I don't know what to do. How do I silence these students? We clearly can hear them whispering about us. It's so annoying as if they were practically killing us with their stares.

[TELEPATHY]

'Hey can i just freeze them to death?'~ Me

'Chill, let's just blow this hall so that they can shut up'~Jia

'Should i assassinate them?'-Zy

'Pft, dude i thought you're still in shock?'-Jia

'If Xuan is here and hear them, today will be their funeral haha'~Me

' Then Minjun gonna use his warp abilities to transfer them to the cemetery, boom, perfect combination'-Jia

"PFT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA" I can't stop my self from laughing with what Jia said. The students and the representatives looked at me with a confused look.

"Wow look at him laughing like a crazy, are the Veil Guild crazy like him?" One of the representatives said and shook her head.

"Just don't mind them" said the girl beside her. I can hear them since their assign spot is next to ours.

*MIC ON

"Ahem, silence. i hope all the students and representatives are here now. So let's start the opening ceremony. I am Professor Dan the host for today's ceremony. Everybody stand up" 

We all stood up, ready for the opening ceremony. Well, here we are, the start of our Awakener student life.
