CHAPTER III- RANKS AND LEVEL

After the opening ceremony, the students were instructed to go to the test hall to be evaluated for their levels and ranks. So they went immediately to the test hall

"Gather and listen up, students. Some of you know that you need to be re-evaluated again, together with the representatives, right? So when we call your name, come to the front for your rank and level evaluation."

All the students are getting ready for the evaluation. Some of them are so excited.

"Wow i cant wait, Well, I think I leveled up since I trained in the dungeon."

"Did you really use your vacation to train in dungeon instead of resting?"

"Well, i really need to level up since i meed to be pass the evaluation to join the guild i want"

"Yeah you're right, There are still many students who haven't affiliated with a guild yet."

The students were amazed by what was displayed on the screen, showing the ranks and levels.

"Wow look at the screen, The haeun guild representatives levels and rank are insane"

"Last year representatives are mazed by his rank, he got scouted with by the three guild"

"But he turned down them again"

The representatives' attention was drawn to what they saw on the screen.And Eunkyung didn't hesitate to approach Seojun.

"Hey, Choi Seojun right? Wow you beat me in levels, Im Eunkyung, i heard you're not affiliated yet? The Haeun guild will be greatful if you join us" Eunkyung said the he reached out his hands for a handshake. Seojun looked at his hand and ignored it.

"*Bow. Sorry, But I have no plans to join any guild yet." He said then walked away. Eunkyung was too stunned to speak

"Pft, HAHAHAHAHAHA Busted" Duri said while laughing so hard

"I think you didn't hear the rumor about him. Every year he turns down every representative who offers him to join any guild." One of student said then he left to chase after Seojun.

"What but he~ HEY, I TOLD YOU WE CAN'T " Eunkyung was about to speak when Aeris suddenly shouted.

The students' attention immediately shifted when Aeris shouted.

"But we were assigned to evaluate you, you have no right to disobey our instructions." The evaluator said with a angry tone.

"We already said that the Dean agreed that we could skip the evaluation." Jia insisted but the evaluator just gave them a cold look.

Sanghoon quickly jumped in and asked what was happening.

"What's going on here?" Sanghoon interrupted 

"Sorry Sir Sanghoon but these representatives insisted that the dean gave them a permission to skip the evaluation" The evaluator changed her expression(pitty look) when Sanghoon interrupted them.

"It's that true?" Sanghoon asked and look at them.

"Do you think we're lying?" Aeris said in a cold voice.

"But we didn't receive a report or instruction that the Veil representative are exempted in evaluation" The other evaluation said.

"Hey, we all know that you came from the fallen guild and We also know that you are in the bottom rank. But as the evaluator said, they haven't received any instruction that you are exempted from the evaluation. We also know that you are in lower rank and level. Other students here are on the same rank as you but still got evaluated. Let's be fair here." Jeonghoon said.

Aeris and Jia were surprised by what he said. They looked so pissed

"Wow, Were they embarrassed because they were in lower ranks and levels? That's why they don't want to be evaluated?"

"*Doom. Hey, what did you just~" Aeris stopped in the middle of his sentence when Zydane stopped him.

"Ugh. Here's the letter with the academy seal and dean's sign" Zy can't hold back and he handed the letter to the evaluator.

The evaluator immediately took the letter and checked if it was real.

'Its real, But why did the dean approve it?' The evaluator said in her thought.

"Look, l'm pissed by what you said. You're supposed to be the second-ranked guild in Korea, but your attitude doesn't match it. You should be the model for all Awakeners, but what is this attitude?" Jia said it with insult.

"What did you say?" Jeonghoon said it angrily.

"We handed the letter, isn't that enough?" Zy asked.

"What if the letter is fake?" Haneul asked back.

They still insisted that they were lying. And this time, Zy can't hold back his anger and stood up in front of the magic crystal.

"Then" Zy removed the gloves he was wearing and placed it on the magic crystal where they measure rank and level.

"SH*T ZYYY" Jia was shocked and was about to stop Zy, but it was too late.

The crystal ball suddenly lit up, causing the students to cover their eyes. The students were panicking and screaming because of what happened, as if a bomb was ticking. And suddenly, a loud sound came from the crystal ball.

A few seconds passed, and the students slowly opened their eyes. And all they saw was a thick barrier that surrounded them. The crystal ball that Zy was holding shattered, and the table it was on was destroyed. The wall also was destroyed by the explosion. The students were shocked by what they saw and couldn't speak, especially the representatives of the three guilds.

"Fvck, We already told you not a cause a scene and dont be a reckless right?" Jia said it worriedly.

Zae approached Zy and checked him worriedly.

"Did I wake you up?" Zy asked and pat her head.

"Damn dude, this is not the time to ask that. Look at the mess. Thank goodness Zae woke up right away and managed to cast a barrier." Jia Said while checking the mess.

The students were still frozen because of what they saw. Zy look at them specially Sanghoon and Jeonghoon.

"Now you know the reason why we can't take the evaluation. We have uncontrollable mana and the crystal ball couldn't measure it. Look at the screen, it will explain and it's the reason why the dean allowed us to not take the evaluation." Jia approached Sanghoon and sat beside him.

"It wasn't just Zy you triggered, but Aeris too, look." Jia pointed to Aeris, who was just standing there with a dark aura surrounded and was holding himself to kill.

Sanghoon still couldn't speak as he looked at Aeris.

"Damn, not just one but three I have to babysit now. This is all your fault. It's so hard to calm them down. Don't worry, we don't want you to be traumatized by what happened." Jia stood up and went to her three members.

"What the? It's the opening ceremony and you cause a scene already?" Everyone looked at the three people approaching, while they're looking at the mess.

"I-it's the dean"

The students felt relieved when they saw the dean. They also noticed that the dean had two people with him.

"Who are those two?"

One of them immediately approached the four.

"Wow Zy, what a big mess" said the guy with dark blue hair

"What happened here?" The dean ask while checking the mess.

"Long story, I'm too tired to speak" Jia said it listlessly.

"Pft, what a big mess huh. Be thankful that we came right on time" The girl said with a red hair.

"Right on time my foot. Just help us clean this mess" Jia said while pointing the mess.

"And Dean, i think we need your help about these students or you want me to destroy their hippocampus?" Jia looked at the dean with a cold expression and showing her fist causing the dean to flinch.

"Then i should start cleaning this mess" Minjun the guy with a dark blue hair, one of the veil representatives, started to cast using his warp abilities, the skill called 'Time Reversal'.

Time Reversal is one of Minjun's skills that can fix destroyed items, objects, or places/mess.

"Now let get out of here" Xuan said, the girl with a red hair and pulled Aeris along. The others followed, leaving Minjun and the dean to clean up the mess.

"I'm sorry, student, but this is for your safety too. I need to erase what happened" The dean said and Cast a skill called 'The Whisper of Amnesia'. This skill can erase an event and replace it with another.

After they finished cleaning up the mess, they leave as well.
