" Chapter 1# " ~ In Another World..

I never thought my life would end up like this alone and forgotten, It's been a while since the incident—a car accident that robbed me of my family. The very thought of my two kids and wife... I couldn't fathom it. In the end, I became a placeholder of the man I used to be, almost a statue.

Without anyone to care for me, my health deteriorated steadily. Then came the pneumonia, and everything spiraled downward faster than ever before.

A year and a half has passed since then. I've lost count of the days spent staring at the hospital ceiling, its bleach-white color draining every other shade from my world. illness after illness latched onto me like leeches, draining what little strength remained. Now bedridden and dependent on a ventilator, I can barely move. The sanitized smell, once novel and manageable, now serves as an obnoxious reminder that I no longer have the strength to breathe on my own, let alone walk.

Time slips away in small blips now, my life being sapped quicker and quicker. Every cough or sneeze leaves my body quivering in pain. I try to stay as still as possible, but the agony makes itself known with each tiny movement. The beeping of the heart monitor becomes my constant companion, until the day it all fades away—the shouts of doctors diminishing from urgent cries to mere whispers before dissolving into absolute silence.

~ The Year 412 of the Armored Dragon Calendar

The deafening downpour pelts the dirt road, drowning out all other sounds. Black, ominous clouds loom overhead like a show of nature's raw power. The earth itself quakes with each crack of lightning and roll of thunder.

Deep in the Demon Continent, in the remote Migurdia Village, a commotion erupts from a small hut. Inside, Remi Migurdia and Rao Migurdia are locked in an emotional discussion.

Tears glisten in Remi's eyes as she communicates telepathically with her husband. "He... he only just reached hunting age. Why did you force him to join the hunting trip?" Her gaze falls on their unconscious son, blood seeping through the bandages wrapped around his head.

Rao's thoughts tumble over themselves as he tries to explain. The regret is evident in his mental voice. "I... I thought he was ready. Despite his frail physique, I just wanted him to make friends and grow stronger. The hunting group hasn't had any incidents since last winter's Bladed Iron Bird attack. I never would have imagined they'd encounter a Sun Stained Basilisk..."

He pulls his wife into an embrace, her petite frame fitting perfectly against him as her tears dampen his handmade shirt. "Don't worry, honey. He'll wake up. Let's prepare a meal for when he does," he suggests, hoping to distract her—and perhaps satisfy his own growing hunger, though he'd never admit it.

...Back to the Main Character...

I float in absolute darkness, petrified. Is this the afterlife everyone speaks of, The afterlife everyone believes in? The darkness seems to devour everything except me, leaving me suspended in this void. My senses are either muted or completely gone.

The thought of spending eternity here terrifies me. "I... I just wanted to be with them again... My family... Damn it..." I said this with a quivering voice my mind in a turmoil of grief and anger.

As those words leave me, Suddenly a warm, inviting light explodes like a flashbang, temporarily blinding me. And then when my senses return, they're flooded with new sensations: crackling fire, the nostalgic scent of burning wood, and distant whispers.

I open my eyes to an unfamiliar light brown wooden ceiling. Suddenly, pain shoots through my head—more intense than anything I've ever experienced. Through clenched teeth, I try to suppress a cry. Then, like a rushing river, memories flood my mind. The name "Rudra Migurdia" burns itself into my consciousness as glimpses of another life play before my eyes.

The Demon Continent? Magic? Superd Demons? I've been... transmigrated? The realization hits me like a physical blow—I'm in the World of Mushoko Tensei.

Movement catches my attention as two people approach. A tall, semi-built man with blue hair, and beside him, a smaller, endearing woman with tears in her eyes. She takes my hand, her gentle grip radiating warmth and love.

"Honey, are you okay?" Her words echo in my mind though her lips don't move. On instinct, I respond the same way, "I'm... I'm alright, mom." The word feels strange yet natural—my mother died years ago, but here I am, calling someone else by that precious title.

A subtle warmth blooms in my chest as I look at them both. They're Rudra Migurdia's parents, and somehow, I feel his love for them merging with my consciousness. His memories, his emotions—they're becoming part of me.

We share a meal and conversation. I try to act normal, and any slight changes in my behavior are attributed to my hunting injuries. After dinner, I excuse myself to rest, retreating to my room to process everything.

I'm in a new world. The thought sends shivers down my spine—whether from excitement or fear, I'm not sure. But one thing stands out: the constant pain that plagued my previous life is gone. I can breathe freely, move without restriction. This healthy body is a gift, and I won't.. No.. I can't let it go to waste.

I could learn magic, master swordsmanship—anything is possible now. This will be my purpose: to gain insurmountable strength that can never be taken away. Strength to protect those I love. I've seen too many tears shed at my hospital bedside; I won't let my loved ones suffer like that again.

As I make this silent proclamation, a notification rings in my ears:
