-- Day 413 of the Armored Dragon Calendar
I woke up this morning to warm sunlight peeking through subtle cracks in the walls. Though initially groggy, within minutes energy coursed through my body. My attention turned to the system panel—a sleek, holographic interface of transparent blue that detailed my stats and skills.

[First-Time Use of the Lottery Function ~ Granting the User One Golden Ticket]
[Will you use the Golden Ticket?]
The sight left me speechless. After a moment to steady myself, I selected 'yes.' Those next seconds stretched like an eternity, but the wait proved worthwhile.
[You've Acquired "Geass Awakening" from the world of Code Geass, allowing the user to awaken a Geass most suited to them]
A calming sensation washed over me. Instead of the expected pain, energy pulsed through my mind, my eyes, and every nerve ending. My senses buzzed with newfound power. As the sensation faded, I quickly checked my status, finding a new entry in my skills.
[Geass: Perception Manipulation Lv 1 - Allows the user to interfere with and manipulate the perception of those within a 25-foot vicinity (range increases by 25 feet every 5 levels). Affects all senses including touch, smell, hearing, and more]
Though the Geass description doesn't seem similar to any shown on screen I didn't mind, frankly this was an amazing ability I knew the immense potential it had, Manipulating Sense's is an amazing skill. And Now with some excitement and eager to explore further, I checked the Quest Function.
[Quest Function]
-- Usurp one of the Seven Great Powers' Titles (Reward: Black Lottery Ticket)
-- Change the Story to a great degree (Reward: Purple Lottery Ticket)
-- Become an adventurer (Reward: Blue Ticket)
[-- More Quests to come --]
While the first quest would take considerable time, the others seemed achievable. As thought over the quest's, my mother's voice broke through my thoughts.
"Honey! Breakfast is ready!"
My stomach growled for food in response, I couldn't help but be eager to eat this mourning and I had a question for my mom and dad, so I rushed to the dinner table. A plate laden with food awaited me—fresh bread and Sunnyside-up egg's.
After sharing the meal with my family, I decided to bring up the topic the start of my plan's so far. I knew it'd be better to prepare before deciding to leave the village, I thought it best to start small, learning something that would help like magic, or a fighting style of sort's.
"Hey Dad, Mom, do we have any books on magic?" I asked through telepathy, unknowingly bringing joy to my parents' eyes. My mother beamed with joy while my father's expression held eager anticipation.
"We don't, but I know who might," she responded. "Remember that girl next door—Roxy? She was quite skilled in magic before leaving the village. She might have left some tomes we could borrow."
"I'm actually friends with Roxy's mother, so there's no need to worry. I'll ask for you," she added aloud, expecting my usual shy hesitation. As his mother, she'd been disappointed watching me waste away in isolation, my weak physique a testament to my past solitary nature. But now, seeing my spark of interest, she felt determined to nurture it.
Meanwhile, my father, Rao Migurdia, processed his own thoughts. His initial disappointment at my choosing magic over the norm in our village Spearmenship or swordmenship but that initial disappointment quickly gave way to pride. The failed hunting trip, rather than breaking my son's spirit, seemed to have ignited a desire to grow stronger. He silently vowed to support his journey.
After breakfast, with the crude clay plates and twisted metal utensils waiting to be washed in well water, I headed to the backyard. The sun blazed overhead, warming my pale skin as my leather sandals crunched against coarse dirt.
I settled into a meditative position, focusing on my new Geass ability. Like Lelouch from Code Geass, I hoped to master it through intuition. My first attempt targeted my own senses. After an hour or two of concentration, silence descended—no wind whistling, no sand crunching beneath me, my sense of hearing was robbed of me. For a moment, fear gripped me, but as soon as I challenged the silence, sound crashed back like a tidal wave.
[Geass: Perception Manipulation has gained a level]
[You've leveled up your first Skill! You've gained one White Lottery ticket]
The notification thrilled me, but the pounding headache that followed made one thing clear: I needed to get comfortable with the mental strain when using this power. As I prepared for more practice, I heard my mother's telepathic call.
"Rudra? Are you in the backyard?" She appeared on the path, two books in hand, my father beside her. "Ah, there you are! You had me worried."
She approached, holding up two worn volumes—one blue, one black. "I asked Roxy's mother about magic books. She had these: one on magic basics and another on beginner water magic. They're yours to borrow, but handle them carefully."
"So, do you plan on growing stronger, son?" my father interjected off to the side, hope coloring his voice as he thought of teaching me the spearmenship our village prided itself on.
I considered his question carefully. While swordsmen might be more common, the image of the skilled Superd warrior Ruijerd came to mind. Spearmenship combined with magic could prove formidable in close combat.
I said yes with an eager smile, after hearing my answer he rushed off to prepare wooden spears for tomorrow's training, a broad smile on his face. My mother watched him go, then turned to me with a knowing smirk.
"Well, you've made him happy," she said, moving closer to ruffle my purple hair. "I'll start preparing lunch. I love you."
The warmth in her voice could have melted ice. "I love you too, Mom."
I spent the rest of the morning training my body—crunches, planks, push-ups, and jumping jacks until sweat drenched my clothes. As I shuffled inside for rest, the new notifications that appeared while I was training detailing the status.
[Through difficult and strenuous exercise, you've gained White Lottery tickets (4x)]
