The F-Rank Amongst Them

As Darius and the guild walked into the dungeon, they noticed that it was a bit different from what they imagined. They saw that everything was a bit different from what they had imagined they would be seeing when they entered the dungeon.

"There is something odd here, I wonder why it feels like there is something here that I am not seeing." The raid captain was looking around, they were not sure what was inside the dungeon but they were sure it was classified as a C-ranked dungeon with low-powered creatures that would not be able to do anything to them even if they were in huge numbers.

The Raid squad looked around, trying to find something that would give them a clue about what they were going to face inside the dungeon. But there was nothing there, and it looked like they were lost in the dungeon. They were trying to make sure that they would pick up all the pieces that would lead them to what they were looking for.

"Spread out, once we find the mana core, we can be on our way. Hopefully, there are no creatures around to make this hard for us in any way possible and we need to make sure that there is no way for them to even think of coming close." Hank the raid captain gave an order, he was not going to risk anyone of the people following him to be caught on the bad side of things.

Darius was trying to make sure that nothing was going to make him slip up and get caught in the mishap of a dungeon, he was not sure he would be able to handle anything thrown at him.

He was only there to be a bag carrier and make sure that there was nothing going to be put out of place, Darius knew that once he was going to step out of place he would not live to regret it.

One of the raiders spotted Darius. He was shocked to see a low amount of energy coming from the man in front of him and tried to see if he was a warrior who had joined the raid.

"Hey I don't understand why there are some people here and what it is they want to show, this is meant to be a raid, not a babysitting gig. So I don't see why there are certain people here, it feels like you are here to hoard the space." The warrior said as he approached Darius, who was doing his best to stay out of harm's way.

He placed his hand on Darius' shoulder, he was looking at him and he was planning on how he was going to be able to make him stop and see that there was no place for him in that raid.

"You are standing here like you can do anything to stop a monster that's on its way to kill us and you also act like you have some kind of power with you that would allow you to do anything other than walk around like some extra weight to our shoulders." The man was looking at Darius, he was not ready to let him do anything that would look like him following them into battle.

"Warriors are meant to be brave and strong souls that would do anything to make sure that there is no one left behind while you stand here and do nothing that would hold any of us back but you choose to hide behind the big dogs and make sure that there is no hard work for you." The warrior was now blocking Darius from going anywhere, he was trying to make sure that he told him that he was a weakling who needed to be removed from the ranks.

Everyone going for the raid paused and turned back, they were not happy with what the warrior was doing. The guild master Hank was not in any way supporting the fight, or whatever it was the warrior was doing.

"You better leave now before it is too late!" The warrior The warrior was not going to let Darius say anything and he was not going to let Darius walk into the dungeon.

"That is enough Jean!" Hank paused and looked at Jean, he was not going to let him do anything to Darius. "He is here because he walked up to me and said that there is no other way for him to think of a way to save his family, at least he was bold enough to walk up to me for help and even want to save his family. If that is not a warrior spirit then I don't know what is, you think because you don't sense the energy coming out of him then that means he is not meant to be here?" Hank stared at Jean trying to see what made him think blocking Darius was the best option. "All I know is that he is the only one who came here intending to make something happen for his family and there is no way you will be able to stop anything he is doing." Hank was looking at Jean, he didn't want Darius to feel like they were not supporting him.

Jean looked at Darius and then at Hank, he was not going to let anything make him not take part in the raid. He turned and began walking into the dungeon, he was not going to let anything happen to his money.

"You know that there is no place for weakness here, trust me when I say that you will be the one babysitting him and not doing anything of importance here!" Jean said as he walked towards the main entrance that had something ominous there.

Every other person in the squad looked at Darius before they walked into the dungeon, he was standing there with his face down and his hopes gone.

Darius had nothing to fight now but his thoughts, 'Should I be here? There is no need for me to even be here and I know that he is not wrong when he said that they don't need my sorry ass here. I am only going to be a problem for them here.'

Darius was at a moment of weakness where he was not going to be seeing anything other than the fact that he was not meant to be there in the first place.

Everyone had walked in except Hank, he was standing behind Darius and he was planning on walking past him but then he paused a bit. He looked at the boy and he saw that there was a trace of him being doubtful of why he was there. "You came up to me and said that you need help with your sister's health, you can't be thinking of backing down now. You need to make sure that you won't give up because there is a little girl out there waiting for you to come back to her and make sure that nothing is going to hold you from giving her the life that she needs."

Hank began walking towards the dungeon, "The choice is yours, boy, you either enter with us or you go back and explain to her why you wimped out." Hank didn't want to force Darius in with them but he wanted to be sure that nothing was going to be of doubt in the boy's mind.

Darius was looking at Hank as he walked towards the dungeon and he could see what he was trying to say.

Darius couldn't say anything other than clench his fists and look towards the dungeon. "I came here to make sure that I give Lena the life that she needs. I am not going to be taking anything from her. I will make sure that nothing is going to make me falter." Darius picked up his pace and ran towards the dungeon. He was not going to let anything make him feel down.

When Darius reached the dungeon gate, he noticed that everyone was standing still, as if something was happening in the dungeon.

"This dungeon, something odd is happening here." Hank looked around. He was sure that they had gotten the notification for a C-ranked Dungeon. "This doesn't feel like a C-ranked Dungeon; it feels more like a B-ranked to me." He looked around, trying to figure out what was happening there.

They all walked in to see if they would find anything that would show them what they were going to be up against and it was not even clear what it was they were looking for.

"Strange, this doesn't feel like a C-ranked dungeon, and for some reason, it looks like there is something hidden here and I can tell that it has enough energy to make sure that it would be able to kill anyone that stands in its way." One of the mages said as she took a look around, it was clear that there was something in the dungeon and for some reason, it was carrying an ominous aura.

When all of them had stepped in, something happened that made it look like they were in prison more than a dungeon. Once all of the members were in the door shut closed, it was like something was waiting for them to enter.

"What in the world is going on here?!" Hank said as he looked back to look at the door, immediately like on cue there was a line of blue flame. Like there was a ritual going on in there, they were all shocked to see that there was something like that happening in front of them.

Everyone was looking around, Darius was more confused than anyone who would even think of a thing to do. "Is this how raids normally go or is there something wrong here?"

The team was looking around to see if they would see anything that would help them understand what was happening, suddenly the ground began shaking violently showing them that there was something happening aside from the entire scenario in front of them.

They turned to see an altar coming out of the ground, they were shocked to see something of that nature. On the altar were the words.

"Prove you're worthy of the power."

Everyone was a bit shocked to see that there was some kind of power in the dungeon, they knew that they were not in a C-ranked dungeon.

"Everyone stay together, this is an uncharted dungeon and only the heavens know what is waiting for us." Hank gave the order waiting to see what was going to happen next.
