Eat the least meat, gain the most magic power

Until midnight, Gobro finally took Gobra back to rest.

The hunting day hadn't gone as smoothly as he had imagined. After such a long time, they had only found two low-level monsters: a venomous snake and a wild boar. With their cooperation, they easily dealt with these two beasts and collected two first-tier magic crystals.

Of course, they had encountered other monsters along the way, but those monsters looked very powerful, and from a distance, they decided to retreat without even attempting to fight.

After such a long period of activity, Gobro felt his stomach growling. On their way back, he began to gnaw on the venomous snake as if it were a spicy strip, and he also devoured one of the wild boar's legs. Gobra, on the other hand, ate two of the legs.

Gobro hid the remaining carcasses, planning to save them for breakfast the next day. The hiding spot wasn't very secret, and if someone stole it, he wouldn't feel too bad about it; worst case, he would just hunt again tomorrow.

After a day's effort, his experience bar had reached 1.3%, and there was still quite a bit of monster meat left undigested in his stomach. Once fully digested, his experience should exceed 2%. To be honest, the leveling speed was faster than he had expected.

The next day.

At the break of dawn, Gobro woke up and turned to look at Gobra, who was still sound asleep. He grabbed Gobra's shoulder and shook him awake.

It didn't take long before Gobra was awake. He instinctively wanted to complain but stopped when he saw that it was Gobro who had woken him.

Gobro asked, "Are you hungry?"

"Grrrrr..." Gobra's stomach growled, showing his state, and he immediately perked up.

"Let's go, it's time to eat."

"Mm!"

The two didn't intentionally try to hide their movements, but none of the goblins had woken up. It wasn't until they were about to leave the cave that Gobra accidentally stepped on one of the goblins' heads, finally waking one up.

"Ah! That hurts!"

After shouting, the goblin opened its eyes and was about to scold the one who stepped on its head. But when it saw the huge figure of Gobro, it immediately stopped its angry expression and became as obedient as a kitten.

"Follow me, or I'll beat you up," Gobro said coldly.

Hearing Gobro's words, the goblin quickly got up and obediently followed them.

Soon, the three of them arrived at the place where they had hidden the carcasses the previous day. Upon arrival, they found that the bodies had been gnawed to the bone. Gobro didn't think much of it, but Gobra was furious.

"What's your name?" Gobro asked the new goblin.

"My name is Gobri."

"Good, Gobri. Let me ask you, do you want to eat your fill?"

"Yes!"

"If you want to, listen to me and follow me."

"Why should listening to you make me full?"

"Don't ask so much, just follow me, or I'll beat you."

Gobri stopped talking.

"Why are you silent now?"

"You said not to ask too much."

Gobro was speechless, not sure whether he was frustrated with himself or with Gobri.

Afterwards, the three of them began hunting again. Although there were more of them, their teamwork hadn't deteriorated much. Gobra and Gobri were both very obedient, and as long as there was a little threat... communication, they would seriously follow Gobro's orders without making mistakes.

"It's okay even if we make a mistake. The creatures they hunt are all those that appear to be weak."

The hunting this morning went exceptionally smoothly. However, Gobro had been feeling a bit uneasy because he lacked the skill to check the monster's level. So, up until now, he had mostly relied on his instincts and the appearance of the beasts to gauge their strength, which was actually quite dangerous. But his current strength was too weak, and the only way to survive in this perilous monster forest was to take risks.

After a morning of hunting, they had captured four monsters: two rabbit-type monsters, a poisonous snake monster, and a wild boar.

It had to be said that wild boars were really abundant in this valley. He thought that perhaps naming the valley "Wild Boar Valley" wouldn't be a bad idea.

After thinking for a while, he took out the wild boar: "You two eat this wild boar, I'll eat the rest."

Seeing Gobro offer the biggest wild boar, Gobri and Gobra were both a bit shocked.

In fact, Gobro was thinking that although the rabbit-type and poisonous snake monsters were smaller, the meat from these monsters still contained the magic power of the entire creature. According to common sense, the magic power concentration in the meat of these smaller creatures should actually be higher than in the larger wild boar.

So, he planned to eat the least amount of meat to absorb the most magic power.

Gobri and Gobra didn't know what Gobro was thinking. They just wanted to eat their fill.

After finishing the two rabbits and the poisonous snake, although the rabbits were quite plump, Gobro only felt about 80% full. He didn't try to take Gobra's food; if possible, he still hoped to eat meat from smaller creatures.

Gobri and Gobra had different appetites; hers was normal. In the end, they still hadn't finished the wild boar, so Gobro didn't finish his share either. He told them to take the remaining meat and eat it when they got hungry later.

At noon, it was time for the goblins to go hunting. They had to hunt enough food during this period to fill the giant. Otherwise, the giant would get angry.

Watching the large hunting team, Gobro was calculating in his mind. Based on the current situation, each monster should be able to produce a magic crystal. So, what happened to the magic crystals from the monsters the giant had eaten before? He was really curious about that.

Had the giant thrown away all those magic crystals? Or had it eaten them? Or maybe it had hidden them?

Gobro didn't think the giant would have eaten them. Even just holding a magic crystal, he could feel the violent energy inside. Simply eating them would likely do more harm than good to the body. Even if the giant was foolish, it shouldn't have eaten them.

The probability of throwing them away also seemed low, since magic crystals were quite beautiful and clearly valuable. The most likely scenario was that the giant had hidden them.

If the giant had hidden them, then for Gobro, it would be a treasure trove. After all, with so much time accumulating, Gobro couldn't even imagine how many magic crystals there might be inside.
