he smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm afraid I haven't been entirely honest with you, cassy," he said. "My name is indeed Alexander Richard Langley, but I prefer to go by Laim. And as for who I am... well, I'm a billionaire and new owner of Mega Corporation."
my eyes widened in shock. "Mega Corporation?" I repeated. "As in, the biggest conglomerate in the world?"
he nodded. "The same one. My father was the founder and CEO, but he passed away recently, leaving me the family business. And as the only son, it's my duty to take over and ensure the company's continued success."
I felt like I was drowning in a sea of information. I had so many questions, but I didn't know where to start. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked finally, my voice shaking with emotion. he took my hand, his eyes filled with regret. "I'm sorry, Cassy. I was afraid of scaring you off. I wanted you to get to know me as a person, not as a billionaire. And I have to admit, I was also testing you. I wanted to see if you would love me for who I am, not for my wealth and status." I felt a lump form in my throat as I looked at him. you shouldn't have lied to me, like finding out the Truth like this is shocking " am married to a billionaire and CEO of mega cooperative, who would have thought?. I know it would be much to take in right now, you can get enough time to process everything later, but now, come with me. he replied.
He took my hand, leading me to a private jet waiting on the runway. "Our honeymoon," he said, smiling. "A week in paradise, just the two of us."The jet soared into the sky, carrying us to a luxurious island resort. The crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand beaches took my breath away. Their villa was a stunning over water bungalow, complete with a private pool and outdoor tub. The interior was sleek and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the ocean. he had arranged for a private butler to attend to our every need, and a personal chef to prepare exquisite meals. I felt like royalty, pampered and indulged in every way. you prepared all this?
yeah Cassy. he said, for the only woman well deserving of it.
what did I do to deserve this, I know I deserve something good but all my life with my parents I wouldn't expect I would ever come to expirenced this. thank you Liam. I said with spark of tears in my eyes.
you don't need to thank me, you are my wife and trust me this is just the beginning. he replied.
As the day passed, his love and mine continued to blossom. we spent the day exploring the island, holding hands, and laughing together. in the evening , as we sat on the beach watching the sunset, I turned to Liam with a smile. "I never thought I'd find love like this," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "But here I am, with the love of my life. I'm so grateful for every moment we've shared." he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close. "I'm grateful too, Cassy," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "I promise to always love you, to always cherish and protect you. Forever and always, my love."
As the sun began to set , Liam and I decided to spend a romantic evening together in the pool. The water was warm and inviting, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of red roses. he had arranged for the pool to be filled with hundreds of red roses, creating a breathtakingly beautiful and intimate setting. The only sound was the gentle lapping of the water against the sides of the pool, and the occasional soft music drifting from the nearby villa. As we floated together in the pool, surrounded by the roses, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility wash over me. I leaned my head against his chest, feeling his strong heartbeat and the warmth of his skin.
"Liam," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I need to tell you something."
he looked down at me, his eyes filled with concern. "What is it, my love?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle.
I took a deep breath, feeling a lump form in my throat. "My father disowned me," I said, my voice cracking with emotion. "Because of our wedding." his expression changed from concern to shock and anger. "What?" he exclaimed, his voice rising. "Why would he do that?" I shook my head, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "He didn't approve of us getting married," I said. "He wanted me to marry someone with more wealth and status. But I chose you, Liam, and he couldn't accept that." his face softened, and he pulled me closer to him. "I'm so sorry, my love," he said, his voice filled with compassion. "But I'm glad you chose me. I promise to always be here for you, to support and love you, no matter what." but why was it easy for your father to disowned you like that, wonder how life was like for you growing up with a Father like him ,What kind of person can just cut off their own child like that?"
my eyes clouded over, and I looked away, my voice barely above a whisper. "My father has always been... complicated," I said. "He's always had a favorite, and it's never been me."
Liam's eyes narrowed, his grip on my hand tightening. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.
I took a deep breath, and my eyes filled with tears as I began to explain my past. "My father loved Lucy, my twin sister, "He loved her more than he loved me , and he's always made that clear. Growing up, I was always compared to Lucy, and I was always found wanting. My father would criticize me, belittle me, and make me feel like I was never good enough."
Liam's face darkened with anger, and he pulled me closer to him. "I'm so sorry, Cassy," he whispered. "No one deserves to be treated like that, especially not by their own parent."
my voice cracked as I continued to explain my childhood tragedy. "It wasn't just the emotional abuse," I said. "My father would also punish me physically, grounding me, depriving me of food, and even locking me in my room for days. I was so scared, Liam, so scared of what he would do to me next.". My dad never supported anything I did," "He always wanted me to study business, just like Lucy. But I was never interested in business. I was more passionate about art and design."
Liam listened intently, his eyes filled with empathy. "But you tried to please your father, didn't you?" he asked, his voice gentle.
I nodded, tears welling up in my eyes. "I worked so hard to learn business, to make my father proud. I spent countless hours studying, attending seminars, and reading books. But no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't seem to grasp it. And even when I did manage to do well on a quiz or a project, my father never acknowledged my hard work. He just criticized me for not being good enough."
Liam's face darkened with anger, but he remained calm, letting me continue my story.
"I did everything my father liked, just to try and get his approval," I said, my voice cracking. "I even started liking the food he loved, even though it was bad for my stomach. I just wanted to be loved by him, to be accepted. But no matter what I did, it was never enough."
he pulled me into a tight hug, holding me close as I sobbed uncontrollably. "I'm so sorry, cassy," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I wish I was there for you then . But I want you to know that I love you, not for what you can do or what you're interested in, but for who you are as a person. You're an amazing, talented, and beautiful woman, and I'm so grateful to have you in my life."
As he held me, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. For the first time in my life, I felt truly loved and accepted for who I was. And I knew that I would never let anyone make me feel otherwise again.
his eyes were filled with tears as he listened to my story. He felt a deep sense of anger and sadness, knowing that the woman he loved had suffered so much at the hands of her own father. is enough now okay, chill, nothing will repeat itself, is our honeymoon and let not ruin it will a lot of sad talk's, he said running his hands through my hair. "it is time". he said . don't you think?"
I looked up at him, a hint of a smile on my face. "What is it time for?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
his eyes sparkled with mischief. "It's time to conceal our marriage," he said, his voice low and husky. As he spoke, he ran his hands through my hair, his fingers tangling in the soft strands. my eyes fluttered closed as I felt his touch, my body responding to his caress. his eyes locked onto mine ,and I felt like I was drowning in our depths. without a word, he scooped me up into his arms and carried me towards the room. The glass windows offered a breathtaking view of the ocean, the waves crashing against the shore just a few feet away. The bed was decorated with red roses, the petals scattered across the sheets like a trail of fire. he laid me down on the bed, his eyes never leaving mine. As he whispered in my ear, "I'm not going to take it easy on you," my heart skipped a beat. I felt a thrill of excitement run through My veins, and I replied, my voice barely above a whisper, "I don't want it easy either."
his eyes flashed with desire, and he claimed my lips in a fierce, passionate kiss. I felt like I was melting into his touch, my body responding to his caress. As we kissed, his hands roamed over my body, his fingers tracing the curves of my waist, the swell of my breasts. I felt like I was on fire, my skin burning with desire. we made love with a fierce, passionate intensity, our bodies moving in perfect sync. The room around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the depths of our desire.
The next morning, Liam sat in his living room, sipping his coffee and scrolling through his phone. Suddenly, he stopped on a news article that made his heart skip a beat. There, on the screen, was a picture of him and me on our wedding day, with a headline that read: "Billionaire Heir Alexander Richard Langley Ties the Knot with Cassy Carter's in Secret Ceremony!"
his eyes widened in shock as he read the article. How did the press find out about our private wedding? He had taken every precaution to keep it under wraps, but somehow, the news had still managed to get out. He quickly got up and walked to the bedroom, where I was still sleeping. He gently shook me awake and handed me his phone. "You need to see this," he said, his voice low and serious. I rubbed my eyes and took the phone from him. As I read the article, my eyes grew wide with shock and concern. "How did they find out?" I asked, my voice trembling.
he shook his head. "I have no idea. But it gets worse. There's more news below the article."
I scrolled down and gasped as I read the next headline: " Alexander Richard Langley, New CEO of Mega Corporative!"
Liam nodded. "It's official. I'm taking over as CEO."
I looked up at him, my eyes shining with pride. "Congratulations, Liam. You deserve it."
but then again I wonder how my parents would feel coming across this article, knowing I didn't marry just an ordinary man. I bet they would be in regrets especially dad, he would want to be in touch with me again especially knowing how long he has been longing to sign a contract with maga cooperative.
what are you going to do then, forgive him, he asked.
No comment on that, for now we should just sit down and watch the show.
