Before she could justify her actions, the men with predatory eyes, galloping with their horses, came running by.
The sea-like attire with the golden sword crest on their cape's back was more than just enough to justify that they were not normal men but the royal gaurds.
Arabella's hand moved without any thought. She grabbed Mielle with those delicate hands of hers and decided that she will confess the truth to Mielle.
But, before she could speak, those galloping noises grew closer and closer.
"Mielle, you are the target! Run!", said Arabella.
Mielle's robe was covered in twigs and dust, a hint of sweat on her face, and her trembling hands defied her true personality.
She knew she had grown up with these ambushes, it wasn't a big thing. So, what was it now that was stopping Mielle from running.
Her legs became as stiff as a rock, and there was a scorching pain in even the slightest movement of her pinky finger.
That was it!
" I feel paralyzed!"
Arimielle said with soft eyes that were holding tears aback, just a blink, and the tears might start streaming down her face uncontrollably.
" I am paralyzed, Ari!", she spoke with her stiff lips and her blank mind which couldn't comprehend the situation.
"No way! How could you suddenly become paralyzed?" asked Arabella with eyes that showed anger as well as disbelief.
She had to compose herself in that rusty street and find a place to hide both of them before the guards behold Mielle. Oh well, that sure was a liability.
The actual problem was the busy street which stopped Arabella from causing any ruckus as a crowd would make a ring around them and would start judging them.
"It's actually an advantage!" Arabella thought to herself, she could use that busy street to disguise both of them.
The most striking feature of Mielle was her magenta hair, which resemblance to blood was undeniable in a dark place. It's one of a kind.
Only those with special abilities had magenta hair, but Mielle couldn't possibly have any abilities; she wasn't from royal blood. She was a commoner.
Soon, Arabella saw the royal guards coming closer. She acted impulsively and hid Mielle in the hay lying beside her.
"Argh.. How am I supposed to hide now? No, How should I hide my eyes ?" a thread snapped in her brain, and she realized that the royal guards had no idea about her existence.
She didn't have to hide. A sigh of relief came from her lips. But her eyes were not norma. Noo one in the entire empire had heterochromia eyes.
"Should I just destroy one of my eyes? One eye is more than enough to see, isn't it?"
But what if her striking eyes were to be sold , they'll earn a plenty from them . So , I don't think I should destroy it , she recokned to herself .
"A blindfold for one of eyes. Yes! I need a blindfold, right now." She sure was in a busy street but it didn't mean that there was a clothing store there and even if there was any she was just too broke to afford it .
Soon her eyes became shimmery when she realised that one of her undergarments were actually a bold brown colour .. it could easily hide her eyes .
"Do I have to use my bloomers as a blindfold now ? Being poor sure is troublesome." she complained and scoffed but it was the only way . She used it and it pretty much seemed to work .
Suddenly, some people started moving the crowd aside from the road .
" Give space for the royal gaurds to move!"
One of them shouted and all the people started moving aside like some ministers were to come there .
" They sure do respect the royal gaurds , I see." Arabella muttered to herself .
While the royal gaurds were passing by with their telescope like eyes determined to find Mielle .
" Adrien!"
Arabella nearly shouted .
"What is he doing here ? No, Why is he on this earth realm in the first place?"
