"Why did it happen?"
Eldon questioned as he sat himself on the floor using the cotton to stop his blood from flowing out of his chest.
So was the expression of Aurienbergie, with regrets in her eyes, she lowered it and started washing her hand in the water tub to stop the bleeding of her blood.
"I guess y'all need to be treated before I explain the situation."
Arabella suggested as she raised both of her legs and put it on the bed, comforting herself on it and then looked at her new achievement which she somehow attained out of pure luck.
She thought as she continued her stare over the necklace, "Had Aurienbergie not wore it, she would not have had achieved the bracelet." Guess somethings happens when you least expect them and they're for your own benefits.
I have bargained for my loss of health from the battle.
She sighed and continued with her blank stare outside the window.
Aurienbergie and Eldon were still struck in awe. Their eyes drawn to Arabella who had no whatsoever attention to what had happened in front of her.
But instead of focusing on her, it was crucial for them to get away with their injuries, especially Eldon.
He had suffered a lot throughout these weeks, collapsing in the forest, escaping the bandits, lack of sleep, critical wounds which were now open. His treatment was more than just necessary.
It will not take more time for bacterias and viruses to infect his wounds and that would be really worse.
"I'll get us ointments and will search for the herbs to get rid of the pain in my throat."
Aurienbergie said as she bowed down her head to a seventy degree, showing her apology for her actions.
"Let me help you."
Eldon said while getting up and moving to fetch cotton bandages for the cut.
"Stop with this cringity, you two! Just get a room already! I am tired so please get the hell out of here and let me sleep!"
Arabella shouted towards both of them and grabbed the pillow in attempt to throw it towards them.
Suddenly the view in front of Arabella started to malfunction as if it was all a dream.
"Madame Arabella."
"Madame Arabella."
A continuous sound hit her ears as she gained her consciousness and came back to reality. All those things that she experienced with Aurienbergie and Eldon was in her past life. The refreshing memories hit her like a cold water during a deep slumber.
Her body still numb as she tried to sat down on the grass and Peter asked her again.
"Do you perhaps know Marchioness Aurienbergie?"
"No. I don't."
Arabella said as her lips slightly curled up with that awkward rendezvous of theirs in her previous lifetime.
One thing about living for an eternity is that no matter how much you continue to live, you will not remember every moment but there are some to cherish, some to keep dearly in your heart, for times when you'll lie idle and look at the wandering clouds. Those memories will still have an echo inside their heart, playing like an endless record.
Mortality is a blessing that humans should adore, being immortal meant losing things that are dear to you, being immortal means losing your constant personalities.
The adaptability reeking to stable itself, will always be disappointed for your heart will tarnish with pain, each timing losing yourself.
As she sat down, the same herbs looking exactly the same with the spring season around, she signaled others to enjoy it too but for them it seemed too much.
Peter, just a random gardener and caretaker of that place had his matters to attend to while Arimielle was still trapped in silence.
"Let's not waste time, and experience the map soon, the sun is almost over our head."
Peter adviced and observed the map in his hand to grab the information of whether there was a specifoc location that was more necessary to be visited.
Arabella got up and washed the green colour off of her skirt and walked a few steps on that familiar soil, holding onto Arimielle, she claimed:
"I don't know how are you feeling. But all that I see in you is emptiness, it's not suited for this scenery. Let's walk a little Arimielle."
Arimielle nodded and lifted her chin up in the air touching the thick wind that kisses her face like a warm hug.
"You should see the lake behind the cottage."
Peter looked at them and said it.
"Sure."
Arimielle agreed and Arabella helped her in the movement while Peter headed them towards the lake.
*It's truly a lovely lake!"
Words instantly poured out of Arimielle's mouth, her mouth still awestruck with the beautiful scenery, the picturesque statue of two lovers just beside the lake adorned naturally by the lofty rays falling onto them.
The refraction of the lake's surface, made up of pure marble which didn't differ from making it look like a mermaid's hangout.
Arabella, who had witnessed it all being build in the presence of her narcissistic friends still senses a beauty in that lake yet being obnoxiously familiar with it.
"The statue that you just talked about is of Marchioness Eldon and his wife lady Aurienbergie."
He continued his blabber about the extraordinary marble and the love between the Marchioness and lady with Arimielle.
With all of this, the mirror-like surface of the lake reflected Arabella's precious memory.
All the cringeful actions that they performed in front of her while she acted like a third leg between those lovers made her let out a soft giggle out of her throat.
The haze and the moment of both now and then still hadn't changed at all.
"I guess you all still do those adolescence romantic gestures, don't you Aurienbergie and Eldon?"
Arabella said in a soft voice, barely audible to anyone around her but the memorial spirits lurking there might have heard her very well.
