Chapter 45: A Mother's Silent Struggle and a Father's Triumph

The morning sun cast a golden glow over the luxurious mansion as Emily stood eagerly outside her lab, waiting for her little brother to wake up. Today was her special day with him, and she had spent the entire night preparing a series of fun and safe scientific experiments to amaze him. She wanted him to see science not as something complex, but as something magical and exciting.

When the little boy finally woke up, rubbing his sleepy eyes, he was met with Emily's excited smile. "Good morning, little genius," she greeted, ruffling his soft hair. "Guess what? Today, you're coming to my lab! We're going to do something amazing together."

His sleepy expression slowly turned into curiosity. "Your lab?" he asked, blinking. Though he had visited once before, he never really understood what went on inside. But Emily was determined to change that.

After breakfast, she dressed him in a tiny lab coat, one she had specially ordered with his name embroidered on it. Seeing his name on the white coat made him giggle. "Do I look like a scientist now?" he asked, twirling around.

Emily chuckled. "The most adorable scientist ever."

Holding his hand, she led him into the futuristic lab, where robotic arms moved, high-tech computers glowed, and a giant glass chamber held one of her latest energy experiments. His eyes widened in awe as he took everything in.

"What is all this?" he asked, staring at the glowing blue liquid inside a small vial.

Emily kneeled beside him. "This is a place where science and dreams come together," she said warmly. "And today, you're going to be my assistant."

His face lit up with excitement. "Really? What do we do first?"

She led him to a small table where she had set up a colorful chemical reaction experiment. "We're going to make a rainbow explosion!" she announced.

Carefully, she guided him through the process, letting him mix safe chemicals that, when combined, created a beautiful foamy eruption of colors. His eyes sparkled as he clapped his hands. "It looks like magic!"

Emily smiled. "Science is just magic that we understand."

Throughout the day, she showed him her latest inventions—mini robots that responded to voice commands, a special machine that could create 3D holograms, and even a tiny self-driving car she had designed. He was fascinated, asking endless questions, and Emily patiently answered each one, enjoying every moment with him.

Meanwhile, his stepmother and other sisters watched through a screen in another room, their hearts swelling with a mix of pride and jealousy. Seeing him so engaged with Emily made them realize how much they also wanted to have their special time with him.

"I didn't know he would love science so much," Mia pouted. "Now Emily has an advantage."

Sophia chuckled. "Don't worry. We'll all get our turn."

At the end of the day, Emily surprised him with a special gift—a sleek tablet designed just for him, preloaded with interactive science games and fun experiments. "This is so you can keep learning even when you're not here," she said, placing it in his hands.

His face beamed with joy as he hugged her tightly. "Thank you, Emily! I had so much fun today!"

She hugged him back, her heart melting. "Anytime, little brother. Science is even more fun when you're here."

As they returned home, he was still talking about everything he had learned, his excitement contagious. His other sisters and mother watched, determined to make their upcoming bonding days just as special.

That night, as he lay in bed, he clutched his new tablet, a happy smile on his face. Emily sat beside him, stroking his hair gently until he drifted off to sleep, knowing that today had brought them even closer.

Tomorrow, it would be another sister's turn to create new memories with him, and one thing was certain—his heart had enough space for all of them.
