Inside the hall, a few minutes after Rahu left.
The hall was starting to heat up. On Azrath's horns, strange runes were twirling and twisting, his anger had obviously reached its peak.
He was a being of the World Sovereign Realm! Yet he was mocked in front of everyone, although no one dared to admit it.
Normally, he didn't lose his cool over petty things, but that insidious demon from the past few years had constantly been pushing his patience.
"My Lord, you should do something about that bastard Rahu. He has always played with us, and today he even dared to mess with you!"
"Yes! He's becoming increasingly arrogant and bold! He should be taught a lesson!"
"Lord, a week ago, he even dared to invade my alchemy storage and stole many precious pills! If that wasn't enough, he even sold those pills at half their original price!"
One by one, the elder demons stood up, voiced their grievances, and grumbled. Among the eight elders, only one elder sat quietly, listening.
"My Lord, you should exile him from this world, or else he will keep causing trouble for everyone, which will affect our territory in the long run," a slim, bald old man stood up and said calmly.
"We ca-"
BOOM!
Before Azrath could reply, the doors blasted open, and a tremendous aura spread throughout the hall, forcing everyone to their knees, except for Azrath.
COUGH!
The whole castle began to shake, cracks forming on thick pillars.
The demons who had been shouting and complaining earlier coughed up blood, clutching their chests as they fell to the ground, except for one elder.
"Exile him? You ants dared to think about exiling my nephew? MY RAHU!?"
A beautiful woman walked in with confident steps. She wore dark armor that clung to her body. She had deep crimson eyes that shone brightly. Her skin was ghostly pale like a vampire's but at the same time she was a little tall and muscular.
Her facial features were sharp and regal with high cheekbones, a strong jawline and red lips. Long crimson hair cascaded down her back. She had a wild yet elegant appearance.
But the people inside only saw a pair of deadly crimson eyes weighing down on them like a guillotine. Aside from the elders and Azrath, all the other demons in the hall passed out.
"W-we apologize, my lady, p-please spare u- cough!"
The bald demonic elder spoke between his words, but before he could finish, his tongue fell off to the ground.
"Xuenyi, stop this."
Azrath's calm voice rang out as an aura matching Xuenyi's was released from him, lightening the pressure around the elders.
At least now they were able to breathe.
The crimson-haired beauty glanced up at Azrath and calmly reached for the sword on her back.
"I have warned you multiple times, Azrath. Do not antagonize him, yet I hear you were quiet during all the tantrums these ants were throwing."
She spoke in a low voice, pointing her sword toward Azrath. Azrath's eyes narrowed, and the temperature inside the hall rose instantly. He waved his hands, kicking all the demons outside the hall.
"You crazy, maniacal woman!"
Dense fire laws began forming in the hall as he stared at his wife. His patience had finally worn thin this time, he was determined to teach her a lesson.
"Your Inner World doesn't have any advanced laws yet, and it isn't even sturdy compared to mine, so you better sit down like the dog you are."
Xuenyi replied, looking down at him.
That's enough!
"Law of Infernal Flame!"
…
Far away from the castle.
"Hm? You're the rat that escaped, right?"
"I, Varkul, with my GhostFlame, will swear my eternal loyalty to the Lord! Pff–hahaha!"
In a forest full of dense trees, a tall, handsome, ashen-skinned demon stood on the ground, holding another demon by the neck, raising him high.
"Y-you bastard! I'll kill you! YOU BASTARD! NO MATTER WHAT!" Varkul said with red eyes. He had suffered enough injustice.
Rahu smiled upon hearing that, his black eyes glowing slightly. Then he shook his head.
"I pity you, but you're lucky because you're my first dog food," Rahu said with an evil smirk. Then–
His eyes started glowing slightly, and parting his lips, he slowly muttered:
[Immortal Devouring Demonic Art]
Slowly, a small vortex formed in his hand.
"Devour."
Instantly, Varkul, the sturdy-looking demon–was absorbed in an instant. Nothing remained.
From a tiny cell to his complicated soul, everything was devoured.
Rahu closed his eyes and stood there quietly. After a few minutes, he slowly opened them again. His dark eyes glowed orange for a moment.
Then, he raised his hand slowly, and blue flames began forming in his palm!
Yes, it was the GhostFlame fire of Varkul. But now, he could use that without any bloodline!
Additionally he seemed to have acquired a new element for his laws! But right now instead of his usual smirk he had a frown on his face.
This… this was more dangerous than I thought!
Rahu thought, his brows furrowed.
He hadn't just gained a new element for his laws, he could feel his Inner World being strengthened, ever so slightly!
He was in the second phase of his cultivation.
Or rather, he had just recently entered the Inner World Formation Realm. The reason he was shocked was that he knew how hard it was to advance even a single realm in the second phase of cultivation.
It will at least take more than hundreds years just for some minor improvement–and that too for a relatively strong law!
And yet, the brat he just devoured had only been in the first phase of cultivation! A colossal gap—like comparing an ant to a Dragon King!
If even a little fart about this art got out, the entire Celestial Expanse would be after his muscular ass!
Especially the Supreme Gods. Just thinking about it gave him a headache.
"Whatever… I just need to become stronger. And this time, I'll be prepared."
Thinking that, he was about to take a step forward, when he suddenly looked down and saw a large tent forming on his pants. He's eyes twitched,
"No wayy… don't tell me?"
