Missed me?

His eyes twitched when he saw the large bulge forming on his pants.

"No way… Don't tell me this is one of the side effects of this Art," he thought, black lines creasing his forehead.

Varkul was only from the first phase of cultivation. Devouring him gave him such benefits–then what about the higher realms?

And moreover, he had devoured just a single demon! There were more than billions of demons, and there were even demonic beasts!

Previously, the only laws he had were related to shadows and illusions. This time, it would not be the same.

Thinking about all the advantages and the absurdity of this art, Rahu had a huge smirk on his face.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm his boner. "There are probably more side effects. These ones are still manageable. I don't know how many more there are," he sighed.

More than that…

"This flame is pretty useful too." He raised his ashen-gray hands.

The blue flame that was lit was not that powerful. There were thousands of different fires, and some had sheer destructive properties strong enough to burn entire realms!

This Ghostflame possessed a unique property–it could corrupt elements to the point of rendering them completely useless!

In his previous life, he had acquired this fire but could not use it because he didn't have that clan's bloodline, which was regrettable.

But now, this was his own flame. Let alone elements–if powerful enough, it could even corrupt divinities!

Then, seeing that his boner had calmed down,

He slowly started to float upwards. After floating a few miles high, he looked at the world below.

"Ahh, Varnath, how I missed this place," Rahu said with a smile on his face. After he left this world, it was invaded and destroyed in a war. It was his birth world.

His parents had left him to his Aunt– Basically abandoning him.

Varnath was not particularly a big world, just thrice the size of a typical blue planet. Half of the world was covered in black forests, resulting in it having thousands of dangerous demonic beasts.

There were only two Lords ruling Varnath. And one of them was his dear 'brother-in-law'.

"Sigh, first I need to get my laws back."

Though it would not matter to Rahu–after all, he had almost reached the peak of existence currently, in this world, aside from his aunt, Azrath, and one more person, he was sure nobody could touch him here.

"I need to conquer this world first and fast, as it will serve as a base for my future plans," Rahu thought. With his aunt by his side, he could pretty much do anything in this lawless world.

"Speaking of my aunt, let's meet her first." For the first time, his tone softened a little while mentioning his aunt.

Back in the hall

Huff… Huff…

"Y-you, how did your law get so strong!?" Azrath gasped, clutching his bloody and frozen arm as he asked in a shocked voice.

At their level, gaining even a minor advantage was extremely difficult. The laws Xuenyi had mastered were among the Greater Laws and were notoriously difficult to comprehend.

"And why should I tell you?" Xuenyi spat in disdain, her eyes full of iciness.

Azrath gritted his teeth in anger, fire literally spewing from his eyes.

"Remember, the only reason I'm even with you is because of my nephew and daughter. Don't forget that."

"And I still haven't forgiven you for what you did to my daughter," she said in a cold tone. Saying that, she left the hall.

The ice on Azrath's hand still wasn't melting. Clutching his arm, chains of fire emerged from his abdomen and wrapped around his arm, slowly but surely melting the ice.

"Just you wait, you fucking bitch."

In Xuenyi's abode, which was a few hundred miles away from the castle,

A tall woman with crimson eyes and pale skin was sitting on a throne, sipping from a wine glass with a bored look on her face.

CREAK

The door opened with a creak.

"Missed me?" Rahu walked in with a smile on his face. His handsome face was accentuated by the smile on his lips.

"Missed you? You cheeky brat, aren't you getting a little too full of yourself?" Xuenyi chuckled, a little surprised. He seemed a little different today.

Locking her crimson eyes with his dark abyssal ones,

"Did a few weeks away make you think I would shed tears for you?"

She asked with a playful smile on her face, which for others would be absolutely terrifying. Rahu, however, found it adorable.

"Ah, how could you say such heartless words to your nephew? You might just break my fragile heart!" Rahu said dramatically, clutching his chest as if in pain.

"Pff-haha, you little rascal."

Their laughter ran across the room, the warmth in their tone evident.

"Now come here and hug this lonely aunt of yours," Xuenyi said with a smile as she stepped down from her throne.

Rahu too went forward and hugged her. She was almost as tall as him, with the top of her head touching his chin.

Rahu closed his eyes. For him, this was not a simple hug–only he knew how much she had sacrificed for his sake. Even at the end, when he stole the Nectar and was surrounded by gods, demons, and other creatures,

She was the only one who fearlessly charged into the endless hordes of enemies who were far stronger than her.

That was the first time in his life he had felt his heart torn to shreds as he watched several swords and spears nail her body to the ground, slowly draining the life from her.

He tightened his hug around her, not saying anything. They stayed like that for a few minutes until she slowly pulled away.

"Huh? Brat, is there something bothering you? Just tell me," Xuenyi asked with a frown, sensing that he was a bit different today.

"It's nothing, Aunt. I was just so blinded by your beauty that I got a little emotional," Rahu said with a smile on his face.

"Heh? Why the buttering?"

They chatted a bit, and Rahu's face turned a little serious.

"Aunt, there's something I want from you," he said, his eyes turning serious.

"What is it?"

"Kill Uncle and conquer this world."
