The ground trembled as the Executioner's body crackled with red lightning. His armor shifted, transforming into a monstrous exoskeleton with pulsating energy cores.

"Specter, RUN!" I shouted, grabbing his arm as we sprinted through the ruined cityscape.

With each step, the Executioner teleported closer, his attacks slicing through the air just inches away from us. My heart pounded. There's no way we can outrun him!

"Damn it!" I cursed. My skill was still on cooldown. We needed another plan!

Suddenly, a blue energy arrow zipped past my face and struck the Executioner's shoulder. The impact sent him staggering back, his armor sizzling from the attack.

👤 ???: "Tch. Looks like I arrived just in time."

A mysterious female figure stood atop a broken skyscraper, her sleek cybernetic bow still aimed at the Executioner. She had short silver hair, piercing violet eyes, and a combat suit lined with neon blue circuits.

"Who the hell is that?" Specter asked, panting.

"I don't know, but I think she just saved our asses!" I replied.

Nyx leaped down, landing effortlessly in front of us. "Less talking, more running. That thing isn't going down with a few arrows."

💥 BOOM! The Executioner roared, breaking free from the energy restraints of Nyx's arrow. His eyes locked onto her.

"ANOMALY DETECTED. TERMINATION INITIATED."

Nyx clicked her tongue. "Yeah, yeah. Get in line."

She grabbed my arm and activated her teleportation module.

"What… the… hell… was that?" Specter wheezed.

"A rescue," Nyx replied coolly. "Now, you both owe me."

I narrowed my eyes. "And who exactly are you?"

Nyx smirked. "Just someone who doesn't like the System's little lapdogs."
