Chapter 19: The Mystery of Nad’s Visits

Faiz wasn't a bad guy.

In fact, he was probably one of the nicest people I knew. Unlike Azri, who loved stirring up chaos, or Rina, who thrived on drama, Faiz mostly kept to himself. He wasn't the type to get into arguments, and he never went out of his way to bother anyone.

That's why I found it so weird that Nad kept visiting him.

And not just once or twice—she did it every single evening during prep class.

At first, I didn't think much of it. Maybe she had a reason. Maybe she was borrowing notes. Maybe she had a cousin in 4SN.

But then it became a pattern.

Every time the teacher left the room, Nad would casually stand up, stretch, and then wander over to 4SN.

It got to the point where even Azri noticed.

"Bro," he whispered, nudging me as we sat in class, pretending to study. "She's going again."

I looked up just in time to see Nad slipping out the door.

Azri smirked. "You're curious, aren't you?"

I frowned. "No."

"Yes, you are."

I sighed. "Okay, maybe a little."

Rina, who had been listening in, leaned closer. "Why don't you just ask her?"

I shook my head. "That's weird. What am I supposed to say? 'Hey Nad, why do you keep visiting Faiz?'"

Azri grinned. "Yes. Exactly that."

Rina smirked. "Or, you know, follow her and find out."

I stared at them. "You guys are the worst."

Azri shrugged. "Or the best."

I sighed.

But, deep down, I was starting to really wonder.

What was she doing over there?

And more importantly—why did it bother me so much?

Evening Prep – The Investigation Begins

That night, I sat at my desk, pretending to focus on my notes.

But really?

I was waiting for Nad to leave again.

And, like clockwork, she did.

The moment the teacher stepped out, she casually stood up, stretched, and walked straight to 4SN.

Azri nudged me. "Go."

I frowned. "Go where?"

"Follow her, obviously."

"I—"

Rina smirked. "Come on, Mana. Don't you wanna know?"

I groaned. "I hate you guys."

And then, before I could overthink it, I got up.

I grabbed my notebook and casually walked toward the door, trying to act natural.

Azri gave me a thumbs-up.

Rina whispered, "Mission: Spy on Nad has begun."

I ignored them.

The hallway was quiet as I made my way toward 4SN. Their classroom door was slightly open, and I could hear voices.

Slowly, carefully, I peeked inside.

And what I saw shocked me.

The Truth About Nad's Visits

Inside, Nad was sitting at a desk—laughing.

Across from her was Faiz, looking completely unbothered as he talked to her. Next to him sat another guy, one of his close friends from 4SN.

They were talking casually, like it was a normal thing.

And then—Faiz slid a notebook across the table.

Nad flipped through it, nodding, before pulling out her own notebook and scribbling something down.

I frowned. Were they… studying?

That's it?

All this time, I thought it was some huge mystery, but she was just—getting notes from Faiz?

I exhaled, feeling stupid for even worrying.

But then, as I turned to leave, Nad looked up.

Our eyes met.

And just like that, I knew—I was caught.
