Chapter 13

Me and my friends searched the area for bikes that we can use. "So, we found three E-bikes and two bikes."

'The E-bikes are similar to what my mom has but… I'm not sure if it's there at home.' I thought.

"Does anyone here knows how to drive the E-bikes? because i'll take the bike…" Annaleigh asked, I slowly raised my hand.

I looked at the Status window. "I don't know how to drive one, but we can ask the system." the others glanced at me and nodded.

'Status Window, please make me learn how to ride the E-bike.' I spoke in my thoughts, hoping that the system will speak and agree.

[Hmph! fine, i'll teach you.]

My eyes sparkled. 'Thank you, system!'

I turned around to face my friends. "The system agreed to teach me." their faces lit up.

"... I still don't understand…"

[Hmph! your friends are much more easy to teach! you should learn from them.]

I hear the nagging sound that I always hated. "Hmph, I'm just a slow learner, that's all!"

[... Fine, i'll teach you aga-]

"Yes! thank you, system!" I interrupted with sparkling eyes. The others then giggled because of the situation.

Minutes passed and I finally learned how to drive the E-bike.

"So, let's meet up here again in 2:30 tommorow." I suggested and the others agreed with the plan.

I slowly drove away while waving my friends goodbye until someone interrupted…

[Focus on the road, you might cause an accident.]

"I know, I know." I rolled my eyes while the system keeps nagging me from behind, I blocked my ears to avoid that scolding.

I went past the convenience store that was near yet also far from my house, I drove slowly and came in the area where my house is.

'Hm, I hope my family is safe.'

I arrived infront of the house, running at the door and immediately unlocking it.

I went inside and saw nobody but my younger sisters. "Hey, where's mom?" I asked.

"Uhm… hours ago, she went outside for a moment but.. she never came back." My younger sister said with worried eyes.

'Oh… I need to make sure our mom's still alive, but for now, my priority is my siblings.' I smiled.

"Where's baby?" I asked.

"H-hm… she's sleeping."

"I got some snacks for us to eat, it seems like you haven't eating anything considering the situation so here. Share it with our youngest sister when she wakes up." My sister's eyes lit up in joy, she might have been annoying in the past, but that didn't matter, I have to protect them and their futures.

Hours passed and My youngest sister by the nickname 'Baby' although she's turning 6 already but that didn't matter, she's always our baby sister.

Margaret was my youngest sister's real name and for my younger sister, her name is Michaela.

[Aw… what a happy family^°^]

I giggled. 'What's that expression? that's new but I only talked to you for a while so that doesn't matter.'

The day flew by like the wind, and before I knew it, morning had arrived. I woke up, got dressed, and helped get my younger sisters ready for the meeting with my friends.

"Hm, it's 2:10 already." I checked the time.

[Just go already, stop hesitating ^=^]

"Just shut up, system."

I got the E-bike ready and took some things from the house that we needed.

"Mm, get the seatbelt ready." I asked while my younger sister already set up the seatbelt.

I glanced at my sisters who were seating on the back, the seatbelts prevented them from danger or falling out of the E-bike.

I drove up to the school and saw my friends there except for one person. "Thimothy said that he wants to stay home because it might be too dangerous for him and his family." Myrtle said.

"Ah, okay."

"So, what's the plan for today?"

"Let's go to the mall."

"Sure, we need stuff anyways." Myrtle agreed.

I glanced at my younger sisters, their grip on my shirt tightened. "Alright, we'll gather many things as we can, including emergency kits."
