CHAPTER 5: TYCOON SYSTEM

It took her a while to calm down and accept that the phone she got had a cute AI system, which she ended up naming, Chunky after a cat she used to love when she was growing up.

After getting to know each other with Chunky, Trinity was no longer edgy like before, but fully calm and eager to understand this gift sent to her on such an unfortunate day.

"Chunky, what are the functions of T 001?" she asked curiously, as she looked at the blank home screen.

No icons were showing what was on the phone. She didn't even know if the phone could be used to make calls or if it could only be used for specific functions which she had yet to unveil until now.

Chunky's voice sounded, though she could no longer see it on the screen.

[Mistress, T 001 is the embodiment of what the developers call a tycoon system. It ….]

Bang!

Boom!

Whatever Chunky said next, Trinity could no longer hear it.

All she could hear repeatedly was, 'Tycoon System,' were her ears playing with her?

Did she, Trinity Ngani, finally receive the supernatural system which could only be seen in the world of novels in real life?

Was that really happening?

"Hehehe~" she couldn't help but laugh crazily, her eyes squinting into crescents, completely ignoring whatever Chunky was saying.

Fortunately, when Chunky realized that her mistress wasn't listening to her, she stopped wasting her time and waited until the other was back to normal.

Although she didn't understand why her mistress was acting in such a manner, she was a good child. So, she waited patiently.

It took a while for Trinity to calm down, and when she did, her eyes were red and stinging. She had cried unknowingly due to immense happiness.

Now that it sank in her that this was happening, she became calm once again and looked at Chunky, who had appeared on the screen, blinking her huge eyes as she looked at her curiously.

'What a blunder?' she cursed herself when she noticed that she was being watched.

Unfortunately, there was no such thing as medicine for regret. So, she could only plaster a smile on her face and shamelessly said, "Chunky, please start from the start," ordering her to explain to her in detail again.

Chunky was a good girl who did what she was instructed, so once the order was received, like a good kitty, she was, she started from the top.

[Mistress, T 001 is the embodiment of what the developers call a tycoon system. It has several functions that are personally customized for your use, at the same time, you have a chance to pick other functions.

The system would give by default, five functions or in this case, five apps, which would be very useful to your growth in what you are currently doing.

On top of that, you have a chance to pick six more apps which you think will be useful in your career, whether now or in the future.

T 001 comes in the form of a phone, so you can use it just like your usual phone. Apart from the tycoon apps, you can also add the usual apps which you have been using. In other words, you can replace your old phone with a T 001 without any worry.

T 001 is bound to you and no matter what happens, it will always be bound to you. It can't be broken, destroyed or stolen by anyone. So, you can use it in peace.

Other people won't see anything related to the system except for you. So, your phone can be given to others without worrying. In other people's eyes, it would look like the TIAWEI RT25 phone. So, there won't be any suspicion aroused when you are using it.]

Chunky was very good at explaining, so Trinity didn't have a difficult time understanding what was happening.

Rather than getting a system which she could interact with mentally like the ones in novels, she got a bonus and one that came with a phone. Even if she was seen on her phone, no one would suspect anything. Being addicted to one's phone was much better than being seen in a daze and, at times, talking to oneself.

It was easy to be sent to a psychiatric hospital, especially in Botwaru. There was a large hospital ninety minutes from where she stayed. There, as long as you bring someone who is mentally disturbed, it was easy to earn an easy B$100.

She didn't want to contribute to one's income stream because of getting a system. So, getting herself a phone was the best way of operating a system without getting anyone suspicious.

What was good about T 001 was how it was exactly like the TIAWEI RT25 in some ways, though it didn't look like it. While hers looked more like the singular phone version, unlike the fold version, it was more of multiple versions.

The T 001 could transform rather than call it a fold. It could transform into a ten-inch tablet, a laptop and lastly, a smartwatch.

When she saw the phone going through the transformation, Trinity's back was drenched in sweat. Seeing the phone made her think for a moment that she was in the presence of a transformer. She loved the Transformers series a lot, so it was quite thrilling to her dearer heart.

One moment she was scared out of her wits, and the next second she was clapping crazily like a madman. Thankfully, she was the only person in the house, otherwise, that hospital might have been receiving an extra patient that night.

After Chunky showed her the awesomeness of T 001 in terms of transformation, she also learnt something that she wanted to know earlier but ended up forgetting because of all the excitement.

[T 001 battery capacity is one of a kind. The phone cover is the battery charger case and once the power reaches 30%, the phone will complain and once it does, the case will transform to make a charger depending on what form of the T 001 you will be using.]

In other words, if the power is low, and she is using the smartwatch version, then the charger that would appear would be of that. The same will be true for the other versions as well.

Hearing that, Trinity felt her back getting wetter.

Wasn't this too powerful?

"This … is it possible to charge it before that? Or for the charger to appear when I want?" she nervously asked as she thought of the possibility of having someone borrow a charger and she didn't know what to say in response.

People loved interfering in other people's businesses. They were very attentive in other people's homes. She might think that she was being careful, not knowing that with a single mistake, she had exposed herself. She didn't want something that deadly happening.

[Of course, it can happen. But I advise you to not charge recklessly. As long as you want the charger to appear, you can click on the charger icon where the transformation icons are,] Chunky responded.

"Pew~" Trinity sighed with relief when she heard that.

As long as it was like that, she wouldn't need to worry. Though she didn't see herself giving anyone her charger. What if someone swapped it or damaged it?

Where would she find the parts from?

She was just being cautious.

"That's good!" she said relievedly, her eyes shining and asked anticipatorily, "Now that we are done with this, how about seeing the system functions? I am quite eager, you see!" every second counts.
