Chapter 3

The following morning, Thonia woke up and found her self lying on a hospital bed.

 "Thonia!, you are awake", said Rosy.

 "Mam!, where's Alex?",she asked.

 "There he is", said Rosy as she pointed at the right hand side.

 "He's on drip and the doctor said that he lost some blood",Rosy said

 "How!, What happened?", asked Thonia.

 "He fainted too and his head landed on the glass table which result to the bleeding", replied Rosy

 "Oh my God,why this,why now", thonia said as tears tears roll down her cheeks.

 "Stop crying thonia, everything is going to be fine",Rosy said.

 "No it's not going to be fine.you do get it,I lost my parents once in that air crash and now my brother is on drip and you think it's going to be fine!?", said thonia.

 "Calm down thonia I understand how you feel", Rosy

 "You don't!, you don't understand how I feel, you don't", said thonia as she was still crying.

 "Stop this thonia,you are making me cry too",Rosy said.

So she embraced thonia.

 "It's okay darling, it's okay", Rosy said in a low tone.

Immediately the doctor came in to check her up.

 "How are you doing thonia?", Asked doctor Oliver their family doctor.

 "Am not fyn doctor, I want to see my parents", she said crying.

 "Calm down thonia everything happens for a reason", said doctor Oliver.

 "Ahh, oh God why!!", said thonia as she was still crying.

 "Thonia please calm down.i understand how you feel", said doctor Oliver.

 "Doctor please when are we going back home?", thonia asked.

 "When you both gets better I think",he replied.

 "Is he going to be fine!?", thonia asked.

 "Sure!, he's going to be fine trust me", Replied doctor Oliver.

 "Em thonia, I brought you guys something to eat.but since alex is not awake yet,so u eat and keep the remaining for him", said Rosy.

 "No am not hungry, I don't want to eat", thonia replied.

 " You need to eat something because you are still on drugs", said doctor Oliver.

 "Okay I will eat that later", said thonia.

 "I will be on my way now.i will come check up on you guys later.i have some patience to attend to now", said doctor Oliver.

 "Okay doc, that's okay",Rosy said.

And the doctor left immediately.

 "Thonia please don't cry again okay!!", said Rosy.

But thonia was just silent.

 "I will be on my way now.i have to go look after the house.besides the driver called me to inform me that there are some people at the house already", said Rosy.

 "Okay mam, please make sure you come see us later", thonia said.

 "Sure I will,I will come check up on you two",Rosy Replied.

 "Okay mam", said thonia.

 "Alright, bye and make sure you don't cry anymore", said Rosy.

 "Bye mam Rosy", thonia said.

Rosy went back home to look after the house and also spoke to the people that came to sympathized with them.she also prepared another meal that she would serve them when they return from the hospital at eve.

The New about the death of Mr Edward and his wife spread round and everyone heard about it.

Rosy was in the sitting room crying as she was remembering all the good things that Mr Edward and his wife had done for her. She couldn't hold her self any longer.

Then the driver walked into the sitting room and saw Rosy crying.

 "You are crying too",he asked.

 "I can't hold it anymore, Mr Edward is a good man,his wife too is a good woman.they can't just die like that leaving their precious children behind", Rosy Replied in tears.

Hearing this, the driver couldn't hold him self as tears roll down his cheeks.

 "Mr Edward is indeed a good man.may Theo soul rest in peace",he said.

 "But if you are crying, what do expect thonia and Alex to do?",he asked

 "U won't understand how I feel.so am never going to see sir Edward and his wife again", she said still crying.

 "Rosy you have to control yourself.they are already dead and no matter how hard you cry, they are never coming back",he said.

 "Just wipe your tears. Everything would be fyn",he said.

But she never responded.she was just crying.

 "I have to go now take care of yourself and And also take care of Alex and thonia",he said.

 "Okay I will", she said as she nodded.

And the driver left.

Later at eve,Rosy went to the hospital to see Alex and thonia. As she got to the hospital, she saw that thonia never ate the food, not even Alex too.

 "What happened thonia,why didn't you two eat the food that I brought for you earlier in the morning", she asked.

 "I told you I was not hungry,I don't want to eat", she replied.

 "Thonia you heard what the doctor said right!, you are still on drugs and you need to eat something", said Rosy.

 "So how's Alex, was he still sleeping since then?", she asked.

 "He woke at noon and he slept again an hour ago.", thonia replied.

 "Don't worry he will be fine.he just need to rest",Rosy said.

 "Mom,so am not going to see my mom and dad anymore", asked Thonia as she began to cry.

 "Calm down thonia,I thought you told me you are not going to cry anymore", said Rosy.

 "Why won't I cry,why!,I have many reasons to cry mam Rosy!", Thonia said.

 "Suddenly thonia's phone began to ring,then she picked up the phone.

 "Hello,who is this",she asked.

 "Am so sorry about what happened, but we found this phone along side a bush, and we found out that this number has been calling since last night, and we decided to call to ask if you are related to the couples in any way", Asked the caller.

 "Yes they are my parents, and tell me where are they, where are my parents", Thonia asked.

 "Am sorry they are already dead.sowe need to find your location so that we can transport their dead body to any of the dead body there", said the caller.

Thonia couldn't listen to what the man was saying any, she was just crying.so rosy collect the and went to a corner to speak with the caller.

While thonia was still crying, Alex woke up and saw her crying.

 "Thonia!",he called.

Then she looked and saw that he had woke up.

 "Alex,you are awake, Thonia said.

 "Thonia so we are not going to see mum and dad again",he said.

 "Alex mum and dad has left us",thonia said and they both began to cry.

Then rosy came in and saw that alex was awake and they were both crying.

 "Alex, you are awake.why are you crying", she asked.

 "Mom and dad is never going to come back.we are never going to see them again",he replied.

 "Don't worry am here for you two.even if your parents are gone,I will be there for you two and I will take good care of you two like I have always do",Rosy said.

So she made them hushed.and they waited for the doctor to come discharge them so they would be going back home.
