The Furious Savage Wolf King

The Bronze Wolves, with their massive copper-colored bodies, each possess strength somewhere between the first and second stages of the Bronze rank. In the central area of the Black Mountain Range, these Bronze Wolves dominate the region.

They often attack human cultivators who venture into their territory, using their numerical advantage to overwhelm intruders. The only way to avoid being attacked by them is to have a Silver-tier cultivation and activate a spiritual energy shield.

As Ye Qiang crouched in the tree, contemplating how to kill the Savage Wolf King and seize its Beast Heart, a sight before him nearly made him lose his balance and fall from the dark branches.

The ground below was teeming with Bronze Wolves, and after counting, Ye Qiang estimated there were around 30 of them. Among them, about 10 were in the second stage of the Bronze rank. These Bronze Wolves had gathered in front of the cave where the Savage Wolf King was hiding, howling furiously.

It seemed they were yelling at the human cultivators inside the cave: "Damn humans, come out and die!""I'll tear you to pieces!"

Ye Qiang, with his deep, focused gaze, watched the pack of Bronze Wolves below and couldn't help but feel nervous for Li Zhi and his group.

At the same time, he thought to himself, "It's a good thing I'm so clever, or this would have turned into a deadly battle!"

But after thinking about it further, Ye Qiang couldn't quite understand why the Bronze Wolves were only standing outside the cave, howling at the humans inside, instead of charging in and slaughtering them. Could it be that they feared the Savage Wolf King's power and were too afraid to act?

This didn't make much sense to him.

Inside the pitch-black cave, a massive black wolf, as large as an elephant, with the strength of an ox and the ferocity of a tiger, was curled up in a crevice filled with herbs. It was licking the sword wounds on its chest, its large, dimly glowing eyes filled with murderous intent and anger.

After entering the cave, Li Zhi and his group were able to see a small radius around them thanks to the fire sticks they carried.

The cave was enormous, and strangely, there was no plant or animal life to be found. The silence inside the cave was oppressive—it was so quiet that even the sound of dripping water could be heard deep within.

But as they ventured further, some of the more timid members of the group began to feel uneasy, as if something were watching them. The most obvious sign was the short-haired boy who was following Li Zhi closely.

"Brother, do we really need to keep going?" the timid boy whispered.

"We've come this far!" Li Zhi responded coldly."Do we have any choice now?""Those Bronze Wolves are probably waiting outside the cave for us to walk right into their trap. If we go back now, we'll be torn to pieces!"

Li Zhi tried to sound calm, but he had no idea that danger was quietly closing in.

It was a classic case of the enemy being hidden, and the cultivators walking straight into the trap.

In an extreme crevice of the cave, the Savage Wolf King, its wounds completely healed, had regained its full strength. Its massive body became rigid once again, and after twisting its iron-like neck, it let out an earth-shattering roar.

"Roar…"

The thunderous roar echoed through the cave, distorting the air. Even the entire Black Mountain Range seemed to tremble with the force of it. The sheer power of the roar was enough to send chills down anyone's spine.

"This is bad! That damn beast has fully recovered! We need to leave, or we'll all be doomed!" Li Zhi said anxiously.

Hearing the deafening roar, Li Zhi and his group were nearly knocked unconscious. Ignoring the large rocks falling inside the cave and the Bronze Wolf pack waiting to tear them apart outside, they instinctively fled.

Perhaps they hoped that the Bronze Wolves outside, while capable of wounding them, would not be able to prevent their escape, driven by the instinct for survival.

Once Li Zhi and his group had successfully escaped the cave, something surprising happened.

The Bronze Wolves, which had been gathered outside the cave, suddenly scattered in all directions after hearing the Savage Wolf King's thunderous roar. They began to run in a chaotic manner.

Ye Qiang finally understood. These Bronze Wolves were not rushing to aid their leader in killing the human cultivators. Instead, they had come for the Beast Heart inside the Savage Wolf King.

This realization made Ye Qiang aware of the wolves' ambitious nature, and it also reminded him of the fierce competition in the animal kingdom.

It was a stark reminder of the age-old law of survival: the strong prey on the weak.

After Li Zhi and his group had fled from the cave, they gradually began to calm down. To their surprise, the Bronze Wolves they had expected to chase them down didn't appear, and the thunderous roar of the Savage Wolf King gradually faded away.

Everything had quieted down again.

As Li Zhi and his group let their guard down and rested, the massive, powerful, and cunning Savage Wolf King, with its body as large as an elephant, as strong as an ox, and as ferocious as a tiger, burst out of the cave, chased by a strong gust of wind.

Its bloodshot eyes, filled with murderous intent and fury, locked onto Li Zhi and his group, as if it wanted to avenge the sword strike from earlier.

"Brother, what should we do?" a tall youth panted as he spoke.

"What else can we do? We fight it together. In its cave, we can't see anything, and we were no match for it. But out here, we have a chance to defeat it. Brothers, follow me!" Li Zhi responded.

No sooner had Li Zhi spoken than the four youths behind him, in perfect synchronization, drew their swords and charged toward the massive body of the Savage Wolf King, stabbing in unison.

The last time the Savage Wolf King had been caught off guard like this, it took a sword to the chest and bled heavily, forcing it to retreat after just a few exchanges.

But this time, the Savage Wolf King was smarter.

As Li Zhi's sword came thrusting toward it, the Savage Wolf King's front paw swung out, striking Li Zhi squarely in the chest. The force of the kick sent Li Zhi flying back several dozen feet, and he crashed into the black tree where Ye Qiang was hiding, nearly shaking Ye Qiang loose from his perch. After a glance at Ye Qiang, Li Zhi's heart was injured, his vision blurred, and he eventually lost consciousness.

The Savage Wolf King was at least in the third stage of the Bronze rank. Its kick packed a force of about 20 tons, enough to shatter even a stubborn rock, let alone a human.

It seemed that Li Zhi's chances were looking grim!

Meanwhile, Ye Qiang, steadying himself in the tree, remained calm and continued to observe the battle.
