I frown, meditatively. A sick excitement courses through me.

“What do you want?” I ask, unable to suppress my enthusiasm. The thought of Regan and his family destroyed, thrilling. 

“I need a wife and pregnancy, so that my father can hand over the entire business to me.” 

I frown, wondering what that has to do with me. 

“Marry me tomorrow and sign an agreement to get pregnant for me. Then watch the first wave of The Heartstones’ devastation.”

I watch my dad's obsession with Mrs Tenshaw. The daughter to his late enemy. A girl we all presumed died in the fire, six years ago. Only for Regan to reveal to he saved her, years ago. He never killed her.

Dad just shot the doctors after they successfully stitched her up. He intends to kill her slowly and have her body sent to Regan and her husband in bits and pieces, just so they can have a feel of her death. He assumes that Malachi Tenshaw knew who she was all along and married her to spite him. So he wants to kill her for that. And he didn't want the doctors, especially Dr Dior to divulge Rita's location.

How was she able to change her name so fluidly and no one knew all these years. Now that I stare at her, I see bits of that young, beautiful girl of six years ago in her. She changed quite a lot and I can understand the reason we passed her for someone else.
