Ji-Ah spending more time out wasn't unusual at first, but then it became a pattern. Meeting Sun-Woo during work events, casual meetups, and even club nights—something she normally avoided. Ji-Ah never liked clubs, always saying they were too loud, too chaotic. But now? Now she was going. Because of him.
Evelyn noticed everything. She acted indifferent, like it didn't bother her, but every time Ji-Ah walked out the door laughing at her phone, something burned inside her.
She tried to ignore it. Until she couldn't.
That night, Evelyn drank. A lot. Whiskey burned down her throat, but it wasn't enough to drown out her thoughts.
By the time Ji-Ah came home—late, still laughing with her friends—Evelyn was already waiting.
Ji-Ah barely had time to set her bag down before Evelyn was in front of her, eyes dark and unreadable.
"You're late," Evelyn murmured, her voice slightly slurred.
Ji-Ah frowned. "I didn't know I had a curfew."
Evelyn scoffed, stepping closer, too close. "Did you have fun with him?"
Ji-Ah's jaw tightened. "Why do you care?"
Evelyn didn't answer. Instead, she grabbed Ji-Ah's collar and kissed her.
Ji-Ah froze.
Min-Hye, Seo-Jun, and Sun-Woo—who had walked in with her—stared, completely stunned.
But Evelyn didn't care.
Ji-Ah felt everything—warmth, desperation, the slight taste of alcohol—but beneath all of that, something real. For a second, she kissed back.
Then reality hit her.
Ji-Ah pulled away, her heart hammering. "Evelyn—"
Evelyn smirked, but it was lazy, drunk, and… vulnerable. "You're mine," she murmured.
Min-Hye whistled. "Damn. That escalated quickly."
Seo-Jun grinned. "Guess Ji-Ah's got plans tonight."
Ji-Ah glared at them before turning back to Evelyn. "You're drunk."
Evelyn tilted her head. "And?"
Ji-Ah sighed. "And you don't mean it."
Evelyn's grip on her shirt tightened slightly. "You really think that?"
Ji-Ah hesitated.
Because no, she didn't think that.
Min-Hye nudged Ji-Ah. "Well? You gonna take responsibility?"
Ji-Ah groaned. "Shut up."
Seo-Jun laughed. "Nah, I think you should definitely enjoy your night."
Evelyn chuckled, her voice low against Ji-Ah's ear. "You heard them."
Ji-Ah felt her whole body heat up.
She was in so much trouble.
