Chapter 70: Off to Switzerland

The week flew by. Ji-Ah barely had time to think between wrapping up work and dealing with Evelyn's constant planning. She had no say in anything—Evelyn had already booked the tickets, made the itinerary, and even started packing for her.

"You know, I can pack my own suitcase," Ji-Ah muttered, watching Evelyn neatly fold clothes.

Evelyn didn't even look up. "Sure. And end up in Switzerland with nothing but work files and a laptop?"

Ji-Ah frowned. "I'm not that bad."

Evelyn arched a brow. "Oh? Then tell me, what's the last thing you packed?"

Ji-Ah opened her mouth, then closed it.

Evelyn smirked. "That's what I thought. Now sit there and let me handle it."

Ji-Ah sighed, but deep down, she didn't really mind.

The day of the trip, Ji-Ah called her parents to let them know.

"Switzerland?" Choi Mi-Young sounded surprised.

"Yeah, just for a week," Ji-Ah said, adjusting the strap of her bag.

"With Evelyn?" Park Sung-Min's voice came through next.

"Mhm."

A short pause. Then her mom added, "Tell Evelyn to take care of you."

Ji-Ah sighed. "Mom—"

"Give her the phone."

Ji-Ah hesitated before handing it to Evelyn, who took it with a knowing smile.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Park," Evelyn greeted smoothly.

"Evelyn," Park Sung-Min said. "Take care of our daughter."

Evelyn chuckled. "Of course. I always do."

Choi Mi-Young added, "And make sure she eats properly. She forgets when she's busy."

Evelyn shot a glance at Ji-Ah, amused. "Noted. I'll make sure she eats, sleeps, and actually enjoys the trip."

Ji-Ah groaned. "Okay, enough! We're leaving. Bye!" She snatched the phone back and hung up, shooting Evelyn a look.

Evelyn grinned. "They trust me more than you do."

Ji-Ah rolled her eyes. "Let's just go."

With that, they headed to the airport. Ji-Ah still wasn't sure how she let Evelyn drag her into this, but now that they were actually going…

Maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't be so bad.
