The trip had been perfect—breathtaking views, delicious food, and endless memories. Evelyn had enjoyed every second of it. Well, almost every second.
Because there was one thing missing.
And she made sure Ji-Ah knew it.
From the moment they boarded the plane in Switzerland, Evelyn started her complaints.
"I can't believe we spent an entire trip together, and you avoided me every night," she huffed, crossing her arms.
Ji-Ah sighed, already exhausted. "I didn't avoid you, Evelyn. We were just tired from all the traveling."
Evelyn scoffed. "You were tired. I was perfectly fine."
Ji-Ah leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes. "Can we not do this here?"
Evelyn ignored her and continued, "We had so many perfect moments. The hotel, the mountains, even the lake! But nooo, all I got was cuddles and teasing."
Ji-Ah groaned, rubbing her temples. "Evelyn…"
Evelyn leaned closer, whispering dramatically, "Do you have any idea how hard this trip was for me?"
Ji-Ah cracked one eye open and stared at her. "You just said you enjoyed it."
"Yes, but I could have enjoyed it more," Evelyn pouted. "I had plans, Ji-Ah. Plans that you ruined."
Ji-Ah sighed, shifting in her seat, trying to ignore Evelyn's sulking. But Evelyn wasn't done.
She grabbed Ji-Ah's hand and squeezed it. "Baby, don't you feel bad for me?"
Ji-Ah yanked her hand back. "I feel bad for myself right now."
Just then, an elderly woman sitting across from them, who had clearly been listening the entire time, finally lost her patience. She turned to Ji-Ah with an unimpressed look.
"Just give her what she wants already," the woman scolded. "She's been nagging you since takeoff!"
Ji-Ah's face turned red as Evelyn burst out laughing.
The woman shook her head and muttered, "Young people these days…" before returning to her book.
Ji-Ah covered her face with her hands. "I cannot believe this is happening."
Evelyn smirked, leaning closer. "See? Even strangers agree with me."
Ji-Ah exhaled sharply. "Fine. Tomorrow night, after we properly rest. Happy now?"
Evelyn's face instantly brightened. "Very."
Finally satisfied, Evelyn leaned back, completely relaxed, while Ji-Ah sat there, silently cursing her life choices.
This woman was unbelievable.
