Chapter 79: A Week Servant

As expected, Ji-Ah didn't let Evelyn off the hook so easily. The moment Evelyn picked her up from work, Ji-Ah crossed her arms and smirked.

"I'll start talking to you again—but only if you agree to be my personal servant for a week."

Evelyn's brows furrowed. "Servant?"

Ji-Ah nodded. "Yep. You'll do everything I say. And," she added, "you have to cancel our earlier deal."

Evelyn narrowed her eyes. "You mean the deal where you agreed to let me do whatever I wanted?"

Ji-Ah crossed her arms. "That one. It's void now."

Evelyn groaned. "Absolutely not."

Ji-Ah simply looked away, acting indifferent. "Then I guess I'll just keep ignoring you."

Evelyn clenched her jaw. She hated being ignored—especially by Ji-Ah. "You're playing dirty."

Ji-Ah shrugged. "Take it or leave it."

Evelyn exhaled sharply. "Fine."

Ji-Ah smirked in victory.

From that moment, Ji-Ah made sure to use her power well. She had Evelyn massage her legs, bring her coffee to work, pick up food for her, and even feed her like a spoiled queen.

One afternoon, while Evelyn was in the middle of an important meeting, Ji-Ah called.

Evelyn sighed before answering. "What now?"

Ji-Ah's voice was infuriatingly smug. "Come to my office."

Evelyn frowned. "I'm busy, Ji."

Ji-Ah hummed. "Oh? So you're saying no to my request?"

Evelyn groaned. "Give me fifteen minutes."

When she arrived, Ji-Ah could tell she wasn't in the best mood, which only made teasing her more fun.

"I want to go shopping," Ji-Ah announced. "You're buying me a dress."

Evelyn narrowed her eyes. "Ji, I was in a board meeting. And you called me out for this?"

Ji-Ah tilted her head. "So? Are you saying no?"

Evelyn clenched her teeth before exhaling. "Let's go."

Ji-Ah dragged her to store after store, making Evelyn follow her like an exhausted assistant. She tried on countless expensive dresses, knowing full well that money wasn't an issue for Evelyn—but her patience definitely was.

By the time they reached the last store, Evelyn looked like she was about to strangle her.

Ji-Ah finally selected a single dress.

Evelyn stared at her. "You made me follow you for hours… for just one dress?"

Ji-Ah grinned. "If I dragged it out more, I think you might actually kill me."

Evelyn exhaled heavily, rubbing her temples. "You're—" She stopped herself.

Ji-Ah leaned closer. "Say it."

Evelyn shook her head, grabbing the dress from her hands. "Just take the dress before I change my mind."

Ji-Ah laughed, clearly satisfied with herself.
