chapter 6: Uncle

East Lake Mansion

Car entered a magnificent black gate, and infront was a beautiful white mansion. It looked dreamy and was similar to vintage style.

They car stopped at the front gate, and

leng tingxiao got out of the car. A middle-aged foreign man stood there. He was the butler of the mansion, with a few servants. They all bowed down to welcome them.

Butler then took him upstairs, where he had prepared the room for the young lady as assistant Li had already informed him. But, he was still surprised to see the young master carrying a lady. Keeping the shock within, he showed the room he had prepared, just right beside the young master's room.

There was already someone setting up the equipment in the room he turned around to look at them after hearing the noise.

Leng tinxiao ignored him and played lin xinyi in the bed gently and covered her with the quilt.

"Hey... Young master leng , it is really surprising to see you with a lady, let alone being gentle. Is the end near? Ya... such a young girl.. are you a beast ? Is she even of age? Tch tch....." it was

Feng yi, Leng tingxiao's friend and doctor .

Hearing him spout nonsense, leng tingxiao felt his head hurt. He stared at him with warning eyes.

"Ah ... okay, I'll check on her first. But I must say she is really worth your effort...." Feng yi exclaimed as he looked at lin xinyi's devastatingly beautiful face. But once again, he was feeling a death stare, so he started checking on her.

After half an hour,

"I've checked on her. It's nothing other than a few scratches, and I have put some ointment on them and about the vase that hit her head .. It's nothing serious, and it wasn't enough to make her faint. She might have fainted due to fright, and if that's the case, she would wake up by tomorrow morning. I've already given her an IV drip, and it will be finished in about an hour. I still have something on, so I'll come and check on her again tomorrow."

"She fainted out of fear?" Leng tingxiao asked.

"Well.. afterall she is still a little girl after what has happened it is no surprise that she was scared. Girls are easily frightened...so brother, you better take of your little girl...." Feng yi wanted to continue but ran away after seeing his expressions.

Leng tingxiao looked at him fleeing before entering the room. The room matched the mansion's interior and was beautiful. It had a big floor to ceiling window at one side, and the bed was present in the centre. It was the second best room in the mansion, and the best one was master bedroom that belonged to Leng tingxiao.

Lin xinyi was sleeping peacefully and looked like a porcelain doll. Leng tingxiao gazed at her for a few minutes before leaving.He went to study and started to handle the work that has been left for him.

Next noon,

 Lin xinyi was showing no signs of waking up, though it was half past 12 o'clock. Leng tingxiao looked sharply at Feng yi as he checked her vitals while frowning.

"What is it? Why is that she is not awake by now? Didn't you say she fainted due to fright?" Leng tingxiao asked in a deep voice that sounded extremely cold.

Feng yi tried to understand the situation,

"Ah.. I know it's strange, but her symptoms really don't show anything different. Everything is fine with her..... is it that I am missing something...."

She could hear some noises but was unable to understand their words her head seemed to be spinning and but it gradually cleared she forced to open her eyes. Lin xinyi's small movements were noticed by sharped eye Leng tingxiao.

Feng yi also turned to look at her.

These two strange faces came in to view as lin xinyi slowly came to her senses. She became vigilant.

She slowly turned to leng tinxiao, recognising her as the person on the rooftop that day.

"Who are you guys? what are you doing? where am I?" Lin xinyi asked in her hoarse voice.

Leng tingxiao handed her a glass of water and explained:

" Last night at the restaurant you fainted awhile trying to save the kid from the vase. You were injured, but it isn't that deep, but you fainted due to fright. So I brought you back to my place for the check-up.

' Fright' She thought being amused.

"You could have taken me to the hospital it wasn't necessary to trouble yourself. But thank you and sorry for being such a trouble. I owe you favour you can tell me whenever you need anything. " She sincerely expressed her thanks.

"It wasn't a trouble. The city is in chaos so the hospital isn't a very good option, it's much safer here. You can stay here until you are completely well." Leng tingxiao replied. Febg yi was super to see a man which valued his words like treasure talk so much

"No, I am perfectly fine. I can go back now."

"No, not at all!. Miss, I don't think it's right. You still need to rest for at least 2 to 3 days before you fully recover. You were unconscious for a long time. Also, I want to take some blood samples of yours. I feel I've missed something." Feng yi returned to his senses and replied hurriedly.

"Blood samples? Ah.. I don't think it's necessary. It's just that I am easily scared, like you said. So it's not necessary." Lin xinyi never thought she would use such a pathetic excuse.

"But.." he felt leng tinxiao' s sharp aura and shut up.

"It's alright. But you still need to rest. You can go back after you become healthy. Anyway you are too weak and frail you should gain some wait."

Leng tinxiao looked at her skinny body.

"What? Mister, don't you think you are being too much of a busybody. I am grateful for your help, but it's too much to interfere with my decision." She was getting annoyed. He was interfering just like the other day.

"Little kid, you are staying alone it isn't good. Just stay here for 3 days and then you can go back."

" Little kid... huh.. you know what? fine, I don't want to argue with an elder like you, uncle. Fine, but can you tell me if you' ve seen my phone, can I make a phone call?"She was getting another headache and didn't want to argue.

"Uncle?.." leng tinxiao felt amused by this new title.

Meanwhile, Feng yi tried hard to control his laughter and left the room. He laughed until his stomach started to hurt.

"Uncle ?...hahhahaha..assistant Li...hahaha ha. Do you know leng tingxiao just got the title of an old citizen.. She called him uncle. But he deserved it ... he really behaves like one.hahahhah."
